. Chapter 3 .
While everyone had gone to bed, looking for a well worked rest, Dean was in another sticky situation.
"Castiel! Get back here!"
Jody hissed, knowing too well that the little angel was not going to obey, as he was too occupied with chasing down a half-naked Dean Winchester.
"Dean!" Cas whined, running around the bed, ready to corner the topless boy.
But he wasn't there, and Cas saw Dean pop up from the other side; obviously he still had a little bit of his brain to figure out that climbing under the bed was a smart option.
"You can't catch me, Was!"
Dean giggled in delight as he then ran over to the door.
Then the little infant spotted it.
Cas' now little trench coat was hung on the doorknob, and Dean looked up at it in awe.
"Was' twench coat." He whispered, and reached out a chubby hand, pulling it lightly off the doorknob above him.
Cas had now stopped trying to catch Dean, and Jody had immediately grabbed him and stripped him down, so Cas now had his full attention on the sheriff, not what little Dean was doing with his beloved trench coat.
Dean had now slipped on the trench coat, the sleeves going a couple inches past his actual hands, and the coat trailed behind him in a heap.
He hugged the coat, realising that there was a familiar smell to all of this.
He breathed in as he buried his face in the coat, feeling safe and warm in his friends coat.
All of a sudden, Dean's eyelids began to grow heavy, but he shook his head in refusal.
But they began closing again, and Dean gave up, letting his body drag him toward the bed, heaving himself up onto it.
"Go clean your teeth now, Cas." Jody said, patting the younger boy on the head.
Cas nodded, but then looked around the room.
"Where's Dean?"
Jody frowned. "Uh...oh."
She smiled as she saw the little boy curled up in the bed, looking tiny as slow huffs came from him.
"Dean's got my trench coat!" Cas cried as he saw where he was and ran over to the bed.
"Dean! Give me my trench coat back!" Cas tried the rip the coat out of the little boy's hands, the yelling and movement waking Dean up, who then gripped the coat tighter.
"Castiel!" Jody yelled over the boy's yells, and tried to pull them apart.
The yelling from Jody startled Cas, who then losened his grip on the coat, making Dean pull harder and caused Cas to fall on top of Dean.
Dean squirmed under him.
"Was!" He cried, and Cas began to get off of him in silence.
A smell came over Dean, and he instinctively reached out for the little angel.
Cas looked at him strangely, sitting on his knees on the bed.
"Dean," Jody said softly, no idea whatsoever of what was going on. "Come over here please so I can get you dressed."
Dean ignored her, looking into Cas' blue eyes, shock written across his face as his lips parted slightly awe.
Then he launched himself at Cas, wrapping his arms around the boy, and the older boy yelped in surprise.
A small blush came over Cas' cheeks and Jody looked on in surprise.
"Dean. Dean, you need to get dressed now." Cas said, his voice quiet.
Dean nodded, hugging him tighter before, crawling off of his angel and pulled the trench coat off, sitting it carefully in Cas' hands.
But Cas just simply shook his head, putting it back into Dean's lap.
"You can have it for the night, Dean."
Dean smiled and allowed Jody to dress him, the comforting smell making him grin all the way to dreamland, Cas snoring softly behind him, his big bee nestled between them.

"I'm just about ready to flamin' give up!" Bobby growled at the pile of books at his desk, flicking through the pages.
Sam just frowned as he read the thick and heavy book in front of him, Cas sitting next to him on the couch, also helping with the search for the cure to the spell that had set on Cas and Dean.
Jody was in the kitchen making lunch, whistling happily to herself.
Garth had left a couple of hours earlier, after receiving a distress call from a hunter on the other side of the state, leaving immediately.
Sam sighed. "This is the 26th book I've read today. Is there any other way?"
His eyes drifted slightly to the singing Dean on the floor, who was drawing with some pencils in a book that Bobby had found for him.
Cas had a concentrated look on his face, not really reading; thinking.
"What is it, Cas?" Sam asked.
Jody came in from the kitchen, wiping her hands on her jeans, leaning against the door.
Cas' eyebrows creased. "Well...maybe we could call...Gabriel."
But the name was mumbled, and Cas was clearly worried and in fear of Sam's or anyone else's reaction.
Dean looked up at Cas, obviously sensing his fear. He cocked his head to the side, big green eyes looking at him worriedly, making Cas' heart flutter at the sight of the cute boy.
"Why is Was scwared?" He asked, and Sam frowned.
"How do you know that he's-oh doesn't matter. What did you say, Cas?" He said softly, patting the black haired boy softly on the head.
"Gabriel." He said more clearly, but not meeting Sam's eyes.
Sam sat back a little, in discomfort and a little surprise.
"Gabriel? Why?" He asked, clearing his throat in the silence that everyone seemed to fall into.
"Coz he might help since it's me."
Sam frowned. "But Gabriel wasn't a very nice brother; remember what he did to you? You can't possibly think that we could trust him again-"
"Yes he was! He's the one who taught me to fly and cheered me up when needed, he was the one who was always there!" Cas fumed, and jumped up in frustration, storming out of the room.
Another worried version of Dean went to go after him, but Jody held him back.
"Why Was upset? Was isn't 'posed to bwe sad. Pwease can I help make him happy awain?" Dean said, still confused and trying to squirm out of Jody's hands to go after his best friend.
"Cas just needs to some time to himself, okay Dean?" Jody said, giving Dean a reassuring smile.
What they didn't know was that Cas was just around the corner, and upon hearing Dean's sad voice, he reappeared in the room, crawling up into Jody's lap and wrapping his arms around Dean, kissing the top of his head instinctively, blushing once he realised the action he had performed in front of everyone.
Jody couldn't help but say a little, "Aw." And pulled the boys closer to her.
Bobby grunted giving them a kind look, his eyes softening at the sight.
"I guess we could summon Gabriel..." Sam said, looking around at everyone to see if they approved.
"But didn't Lucifer stab him in the behind and that was the last we saw of that midget didget?" Bobby said, and Sam just frowned at the memory of that night.
"No, Daddy brought him back. I can sense him." Cas perked up, a serious look on his face.
"Well why don't we just try?" Jody said, and the three hunters looked at each other, all of them eventually nodding.
Bobby left to go and get the supplies they needed for the summoning spell, and Sam was about to go and the grab the holy fire, before Cas tugged on his sleeve and whispered, "Gabe will be good. I promise."
Sam looked down at the eyes of the almost pleading boy, and slowly nodded.
They set up the spell, and Sam recited the lines, Cas and Dean on the couch, Dean looking on in wonder.
Jody and Bobby had stood back, with no weapons to use, just in case for defence.
Gabriel did, in fact, appear, looking as smug as ever, whistling as his golden eyes met Sam's, shoving his hands into his jeans with a smirk.
His height still isn't big enough for his ego, Sam thought, noticing that he was still as short as ever and his green jacket over his black shirt made him look like a college student.
"Hey Sammy-boy, how's it goin'?"
Sam blinked once, then blinked twice, before saying, "You're alive?"
Gabriel spread out his arms dramatically. "In the flesh and blood, kiddo."
"Don't call me kiddo; I'm almost twice your size." Sam glared down at Gabriel, but he stood his ground, pulling out a sucker from his pocket, putting one in his mouth, then popping one in Sam's mouth, having to be on his tiptoes, of course.
Gabriel looked around the room. "So what's seems to be the-oh."
His eyes settled on the little Cas and Dean, and Cas looked at him affectionately.
"Gabriel!" He cried and lept into his brothers' arms.
"Hey Squirt." Gabriel replied, hugging him back tight.
Gabriel looked over the top of Cas to Sam, and gave him a look that said, 'what in my father's name have you done to them?'.
Sam shrugged. "This is why we called you. Cas' idea of course."
"What? Don't you trust me, Sasquatch?" Gabriel said, a fake offended look on his face.
Sam scratched the back of his neck, and didn't say anything.
"Considering what you've done in the past..." Bobby said, interrupting their reunion.
Gabriel's grin dropped. "I taught them a lesson, old man. They should be grateful."
Bobby stepped forward. "Why you-"
Gabriel sighed. "Whatever if yas don't trust me. No one seems to these days anyway." He said it seriously, and Sam could tell that he wasn't joking.
Dean had sat quietly that whole time, and now Cas had pulled away from Gabriel, he was back with Dean, Dean snuggling into his side.
"Gabriel..." Sam said, not wanting to see the hurt look on his face for some reason, and put his hand on his shoulder.
Gabriel looked at the floor for a moment before looking over at Dean and Cas.
"Well, isn't this an adorable sight? You never told me our brothers were a thing, Samoose!" The Archangel whispered the last bit to Sam, and Sam just sighed.
"They aren't."
