. Chapter 2 .

They decided that Sam and Jody would go to the shops, along with the two little toddlers.

After cleaning Dean up from his accident, they had wrapped a towel around his lower half, in replace of a diaper.

And Dean had pretty much decided straight away that he was staying with Cas, no matter what.

In the car, he had happily sat next to Cas, who didn't entirely know what to do, but the littler toddler had just grinned up at him, and Cas had at least offered a small smile back.

Sam grinned when he saw this in the rear-view mirror of the Impala.

When they arrived a while later in front of Walmart, Jody helped Cas and Dean out of the car, and Dean latched onto Cas, grabbing his hand.

"Come on, kiddos, let's go." Sam said, as they walked through the doors to paradise.

"Dean, don't touch that!"

"Careful Cas, you might hurt yourself!"

"Don't you runaway from me!"

"Cas, cut the whining!"

That was all that could be heard from the sheriff and Sam, as they made their through Walmart picking up all the essentials they figured they would need.

Cas and Dean were seated in the trolley, peering at everything they went by.

Now, they were in the toy section, and were looking at at least getting Cas and Dean some toys to occupy them.

They were let out of the trolley and squealed in joy as they ran around the toys.

Dean began to grow silent after a moment though, and was looking at the shelves intently.

Worried, Sam went over to Dean, and crouched down before him.

"Watcha looking for?" Sam asked gently, and then realised he had never actually heard Dean speak before, not since the potion hit him.

"Bumwlebwee." He murmured, and Sam took before translating, "Bumblebee?"

Dean just nodded.

"Now why would Dean be looking for a bumblebee?" He asked, and Dean just shrugged, before his eyes lit up as he spotted a black and yellow plushy; almost the size of the young boy.

He squealed in delight, grabbing it immediately.

Sam stared, confused, as his little brother hugged it tightly before trotting over to Cas, who had been looking at the pencils.

The younger boy tugged Cas's trench coat, and Sam was surprised at noticing that Dean seemed shy.

Cas turned around to Dean, and Dean looked at the floor, holding up the bee to the baby angel.

"Me fought you might wike it." Dean said, still not looking at Cas.

Cas smiled, taking the bee from Dean, and, much to everyone's surprise, grabbed the small toddler in his arms in a hug.

"Thank you Dean." Cas whispered, quiet enough so no one else could hear.

He pulled away, and Sam looked up at the smiling sheriff, his eyes twinkling.

Once they had bought everything and lugged it back to the car, Cas and Dean on their new clothes; Cas' being a bee shirt with jeans and Dean's attire being jeans and an ACDC shirt.

With their trainers just tied on, Cas suddenly whined, "Hungry."

Sam and Jody stared at the boy in shock.

"You're hungry, Cas? I thought you were still an angel?" Sam said, packing the rest of their stuff in the boot.

Cas shrugged. "'Guess I still get hungry though. So can we get food?"

Dean nodded quickly. "Yes, yes! Fwood!"

Jody laughed.

"There's a small cafe just around the corner from here. We could probably walk."

Sam nodded, grabbing Cas by the hand, who already had Dean by his other side, and the four headed off.

Sure enough, there was a cafe, and they found a table in the packed place, sitting down.

A waitress, a woman in her early fifties, came up to their table.

"What can I get for you guys?" She smiled, showing perfect teeth, and looking down at the young boys, Dean nearly in Cas' lap.

"Is this your brother?" She asked little Dean, but the young hunter shook his head furiously.

"No! Was is my bwest fwiend!"

Sam had to hide a snort at his brother's mispronouncing of the angel's name.

Dean wrapped his arms around a very surprised Cas.

The lady chuckled.

"How sweet. Are these little guys yours?" She asked, facing Jody and Sam.

They looked at each other, but then Sam smiled and said, "No, they're my brothers' sons. We're just looking after them for a while."

The lady nodded.

Sam ordered fries and nuggets for the boys, along with two big chocolate milkshakes.

They ate in silence, except for when Cas decided to have fun and grabbed a fry from Dean's plate.

Dean pouted immediately, and Sam feared that he might cry.

But Cas, upon seeing Dean's face, put the fry back and ruffled his hair playfully.

"Have they always been like this?" Jody whispered, and Sam sighed tiredly, but with a small smile.

"Not exactly like this, but yeah, always. Everyone knows that Cas doesn't save the world because of humanity, or the Angels; he fights for Dean. Always has, and I think he always will. I just hope that one day Dean will figure that out."

Jody nodded, but then frowned as she saw the tomato sauce all over Cas and Dean, both giggling at each other happily.

"Well, one thing we need to work out is how much of the potion effected Cas and Dean. Dean seems to have the same memories, but his mental and physical parts have changed."

Jody nodded, adding, "And I'm guessing Cas has changed physically, but his mind seems to still be an adults, along with his Grace being the same."

Sam nodded, and glanced at the two.

"Let's just hope that Bobby and Garth found some things, who knows how this could end."

By the time they got back to Bobby's, Dean had fallen asleep, his head resting on Cas' shoulder, despite the booster seat he was in.

Sam grabbed Dean and hefted him carefully out of his new booster seat, trying not to wake him.

Jody grabbed Cas, who was rubbing his eyes tiredly, while Sam followed behind her with an half conscious Dean.

They found Bobby and Garth hard at work at Bobby's desk, both looking very tired and just about ready to give up.

They both looked up as Sam and Jody walked in, Sam giving Dean to Jody, telling her to put the practically inseparable children in the guest bedroom.

She nodded, heading up stairs to pull the pyjamas on a very tired Cas and sleepy Dean.

"Found anything yet?" Sam asked, meeting Bobby's tired eyes.

"If we'd found something, we would've told ya boy!" Bobby growled, Sam put up his hands in defence.

"Bobby, calm down. I think you to get some sleep." Sam said, giving the older man a concerned look.

"I don't need to go to flamin' bed, boy!"

Sam rubbed his eyes.

"Whatever. I'm going to bed."

Bobby grunted, but took one look at Garth and then mumbled, "Whatever."

And walked upstairs, leaving a small Garth quietly murmuring, "Oh." And began setting up his spot on the couch.
