. Chapter 1 .

Glasses, even Castiel's, clanked together cheerfully as the hunters yelled, "Cheers!"

The five of them chugged their beers, and Cas didn't full on chug like the rest of his fellow friends, but he still drank it.

Dean slapped him on the back happily, as a nice silence settled over everyone.

Garth sighed. "It sure is nice to not have a worry in the world once in a while. Especially when you share it with your ol' pals."

Dean couldn't help but roll his eyes. But Sam, being the politest of the brothers, patted Garth on the head, smiling.

"It sure is, buddy." He said smoothly.

They were all down in the kitchen, Bobby, Sam, Dean, Cas, Garth and Jody; they had just succeeded in a battle against a witch, Sylvia.

The items they had taken after killing the witch had taken an interest of Sam's as many potions, and many other things like books and even skulls of werewolves and ancient stuff, now sat on a shelf, Dean, of course, just said was a bunch of bullcrap.

Dean stood up, already demolishing his fifth beer, and not a slur nor a sway had even been triggered yet.

"Well, I'm grabbing another one, anyone else?" Dean said, grinning at everyone.

"Dean, I propose that you really should slow down with the alcohol; too much could end in disaster." Cas said, his expression of concern for his hunter prominent to everyone in the room.

Sam couldn't help but cough out, "And we all know you know how that feels."

Bobby's eyes twinkled in amusement as Cas sent Sam a confused, but embarrassed look.

"Eh, don't worry Cas, this is our night! Kick back and relax, man!" Dean said, turning out the door to the kitchen.

"Like he said, don't worry, Cas. He's gotten better and will try his best not to get too drunk." Sam said as he took another swing of beer.

Cas relaxed back into his seat more at Sam's reassuring words, his hands turning the beer as he examined the label.

A couple minutes later, Dean came bursting in with a stereo and a whole couple cartons of beer.

"What?" He said as he looked at everyone's oh-my-God faces. "I thought we could light up this party with some music!"

Cas interrupted, "Uh, Dean it would be safest if you didn't set fire to your home."

Dean laughed as he ruffled his best friend's hair teasingly, which was a very un-Dean thing to do, obviously indicating the beer was starting to the kick in.

The angel looked up at him confusingly, cocking his head to side, picking up on it.

ACDC started up as Dean grabbed Cas out of his chair, and tried to get him to copy his ridiculous dance moves, all the while smiles were sparkling on everyone's faces at the very puzzled Castiel.

Dean began playing air guitar to 'Highway To Hell', but Cas still refused to dance, standing awkwardly next to him while watching his friend with squinting eyes.

All of a sudden, before anyone to do anything, Dean threw his hand up in the air to pump his fists, and a smash rang through the air.

A bright light suddenly filled the room, leaving as quick as it came.

Everyone rubbed their eyes in surprise, Sam and Bobby already instinctively reaching for their weapons.

Once everyone's vision cleared from the glow, they found that one of the potions had taken the blow from Dean's fist, and had smashed into pieces.

"Dean?! Cas?!" Sam cried out as he realised they were no longer there.

Or so he thought.

When he looked down, two small, what looked to be kids, were blinking in surprise.

The tallest one, probably on a rough guess of only six years old, wore a trench coat and a nest of black hair sat on his pale head. He blinked his huge, bright blue eyes a few times.

His eyes immediately looked down at the younger, chubbier one, this one being three or four.

Leaning more toward three, Sam thought.

He had a head full of blonde hair, and a fat thumb stuck in his mouth as he looked around at everyone curiously with grass green eyes, his free hand gripping his brown leather jacket.

Sam sucked in a breath. "Oh. My. God."

"Is that...?" Bobby said, lowering his gun.

"Oh, look how cute and scrumptious they are!" Garth cooed.

"Not the right time, Garth." Sam said sternly, glancing back at him, but not really leaving his gaze off of the two infants-who he guessed was Cas and Dean.

But, before anyone noticed or could stop it, Dean's face scrunched up and tears welled in his great big orbs, a wail cutting through the shocked silence.

"Balls!" Bobby growled.

"Ssh! Ssh! Dean, it's okay." Sam hushed, crouching down to the small toddler.

He had no idea whatsoever what he was doing, but he awkwardly picked the child up, getting him comfortable and trying to rock him back and forth.

Little Dean's cries didn't cease, however, so Jody stepped forward.

"Let me try."

Sam nodded, knowing it would be best for the sheriff to handle this situation, considering she has had a child before.

She hushed him and held him expertly, surprising everyone by her skill.

But still, her skills showed no sign of halting the toddlers screeching.

Garth put his bony hand up voluntarily, "I might be able to-"

"No." Bobby and Sam interrupted simultaneously, Bobby's bushy eyebrows raising, an immediate reaction.

Garth lowered his hand, his usually bright and happy face shadowing a bit.

Sam knew how clumsy Garth could be, and wasn't really ready to risk his now baby brother with him.

Jody held the wailing toddler out to Bobby, but the older man stepped back, holding his hands up in defence.

"No bloody way am I touching him, I have no idea what I'm doing." Bobby kept his distance, eyeing Dean a little.

A silence fell over the adults, Dean's yelling still ringing into the air.

Bobby shoved his fingers in his ears. "How much does this boy cry?!"

Jody gave him a glare. "Shouting is not going to help, in fact it will probably make matters worse."

"Well what you're doing doesn't seem to be helping either!" Bobby shot back, frustrated lines between his eyebrows.

"Can I try?"

A small voice they had forgotten about said, and everyone turned around to the now minimised Castiel.

He held out his skinny arms, and the hunters looked to each other, tossing up whether to give Dean to his best friend, considering he was only a kid too.

"I dunno, Cas-" Sam started, but stopped when he saw the serious and determined look on the six year olds face.

"Just let me try, please." Cas said quietly, shuffling his feet before sitting down and crossing his legs, patting his lap.

Sam hesitated before nodding at Jody.

She slowly put the wailing Dean into Cas' outstretched arms, and he held the four year old to his chest, his cheek against Dean's soft hair.

Cas wrapped his arms around Dean, and rubbed circles into his friends back.

"It's okay, Dean. It's okay, we're not here to hurt you." He whispered, and slowly, much to everyone's surprise, the wailing stopped to a sob into Cas' neck.

After a little bit, the young boy fell asleep, his breath tickling Cas' skin and one of his tiny fists was clenched in the older boy's shirt.

Sam and the others stared in awe at the angel, who looked at Dean with loving and caring eyes.

"Woah. Well then. Right." Sam had to try to stop the smile that threatened to spread across his face. Dean was never going to hear the end of this.

"What the Hell just happened?" Bobby demanded after a moment of silence.

Sam creased his brow. "I think Dean and Cas got hit by a spell...from the potion that Dean seemed to have accidentally smashed, turning them both into," Sam paused. "Uh, kids I guess."

Cas nodded slowly in agreement, but not looking up from the sleeping toddler in his lap, indicating that he was listening.

"But hang on, why is Cas older than Dean?" The sheriff pointed out, but that just added another question to the long list that no one answered.

But then Cas spoke up quietly through the silence, "Maybe it's because he was closest to the hit of the potion?"

Sam nodded, "Yeah. We-"

Suddenly a foul smell wafted through the room, and everyone immediately brought a hand to their noses.

"What in the blue blazes is that?!" Garth cried, almost rushing out of the room if it weren't for Bobby, who grabbed him by the collar to stay put.

It took the little Castiel a few seconds before he scrunched his nose up and grabbed the now awake Dean off of his lap.

"Ew!" He murmured, sitting Dean on the floor next to him, as if he were some virus.

But that just caused Dean burst into to tears, reaching his chubby arms out to Cas.

"Balls!" Bobby growled, and Sam almost hung his head in defeat.

"I guess it's a trip to Walmart then."
