Tang-Shen was the love of my life. And we had always wanted a family. Unfortunately, she was never able to have children, and so we opted for the next best thing. Adoption.

First were a set a of fraternal twins. Twins whom we named Karai, and Leonardo. We we're told Leonardo is the eldest with Karai following about 2 minutes after. He is compassionate, and kind. Very responsible. While Karai does have attitude, she cares. She is protective of her family.

Next was another pair of twins. These twins are about a year younger than Leonardo and Karai. Donatello is the next eldest. He is remarkably intelligent. Especially for his age. He's shy, and finds solice in books and technology. Raphael is 4th in line. He has quite the temper. He shows his love. Though he yells constantly. It's a troubling issue that must be broken soon.

The youngest in the house is Michelangelo. He might only be 1, but I can tell that he is a ball of pure energy and sunshine. Everytime I look at him he's either eating, smiling and laughing at something, or crawling away to play with his siblings.

I think this family is going to work.

I had no choice. I had to. Does it hurt? Yes. Of course. It's killing me. Why wouldn't it. (𝔸𝕞 𝕀 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘? 𝕐𝕖𝕤.)

Oroku Saki. My former best friend. My former brother. We grew up so very close. Until we met Tang-Shen. We both fell for her, and rivaled for her love. Soon our rivalry grew to hatred, and after her and I married it only amplified his jealousy, anger and hatred. But I never expected this.

Tang-Shen was napping with Michelangelo and Karai in our bed. I was making lunch for everyone, as Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael played in the living room. I then heard shouting outside. When I arrived outside I saw Saki. Knowing him, there's no telling how long he'd been out here. I noticed he was holding something, but what it was, I couldn't be sure of.

"Either hand over Tang-Shen, or leave Japan and never return." He spoke. And as he did, my eldest grabbed my leg; no doubt curious of what was going on. "Go back inside" I whispered to him, and he thankfully did so. "And if I refuse both?" I questioned turning back to face the man. "Then I will force you." He said, pure, darkness lurking within his undertone.

He pulled what he was holding out from behind his back. I could now see it was a lighter, but that couldn't mean anything good. He lit it as I watched in anticipation. He walked over to a corner of my home and threw the lighter down, but in seconds the corner was ablaze! He must've dowsed my property in flammable liquids.

I had to get my family out of there. I rushed back in and told my boys to stay as close as possible. I felt them grab onto my robe as it started to get hotter and smoke started to fill the house. We made it halfway there when Tang-Shen met us in the middle with Michelangelo and Karai in her arms. We locked eyes and knew immediately what the other was thinking. And so we acted. I picked up the other three; one in each arm and one on my back. With the whole family together, we headed to safety.

And we were nearly all there. I had gotten out of the back door, failing to notice how my wife was slowing down due to smoke inhalation. Maybe if I had notice, she would've made it.

Tang-Shen set down her confused and crying 4 year old daughter and handed her youngest brother to the her. "Go outside to safety. Go find your father, and protect your little brother." The mother said. "But momm-" Karai tried and failed to protest about leaving her here. She didn't want to leave the only other female in the house all alone. Who would complain with her about all the annoying boy things that the boys do? Who would always take her side when she's being sassy? Who would play dress up with her? "KARAI! DO AS I SAY! Please. Go find your father. Tell him I'm still inside. NOW."
Not wanting to make her mom any sadder and angrier, for that matter, Karai went with a promise. "I promise I'll be back mommy. I'm gonna get help!" Tang-Shen smiled at her strong willed daughter. "I know baby girl."

Karai made it out safely with Michelangelo still in her arms, and she did find her father. Her other brothers had passed out from exhaustion. The fear and dread on his face when she spoke of the conversation she'd had with her mother only moments ago would be more than enough to reshape into an asteroid and kill the dinosaurs again.

Before he could race back in and save his lover though, the entire building collapsed. He could only stare in shock and pain and anguish. Until he heard screams, cries and painfully familiar voice.

After a few more seconds, Hamato Yoshi snapped out of his trance. He only caught a glimpse, but it angered him that he couldn't do anything. When he turned, he saw his daughter's ankles bound tightly, and her arms tied behind her back. Oroku Saki had done the same to the young Michelangelo.

If he had been in a clearer and calmer state of mind, his movements wouldn't have rushed and sloppy. He might've stood a chance at winning. But he wasn't in a clear or calm state at all. He had just lost his home. His lover. Three of his children are passed out and two are in the hands of the enemy. The hands of man who'd caused all of this. How could he be calm? He did have every right to be angry, after all.

In only a few minutes Karai had passed out from exhaustion as well, and it out took a few more minutes for the fight to end. Hamato Yoshi did not win this battle. He lay in soot and blood, unable to move, and watched as that evil, despicable man, who now would forever blame him for the death of Tang-Shen, kidnapped two of his beloved children. He cried, and wondered if he might ever see them again.
