Ten months earlier (or should I say 2 months after Part 2...)

"Come on, Riv. You can't just stare at the stars forever" Willow says, walking beside me.

"Why not?" I ask, my voice colder than usual. "The stars won't let me down"

Willow sighs. "You really loved him, didn't you? Well, I'm never going to forgive Jade for taking him. Do either of them know what you have become?"

Suddenly, I see someone coming up to us. Lilly.

"Can you believe any of this?" She asks Willow.

Willow shakes her head. "I don't think I'll ever be able to"

I look at the two as they talk. Two former enemies, brought together by a common hatred.

"So, anything new with you?" I ask Lilly.

"Well, a little something's been happening with me and Kai..." she says, blushing.

I smile. "I always thought that you'd be good together. If only it were that easy for me..." I say, my gaze falling.

"I'm sure you'll find someone sooner than you think" says Lilly.

"Thanks" I reply weakly.

Willow and Lilly soon become immersed in a conversation, and I decide to go for a walk. It is a path I know well. I've walked it so many times before.

After a while, I find myself at a waterfall. Water crashes down forcefully yet gracefully, and I am captured by its beauty. Studying the water and its flow, I gently place my hand in.

I start singing a song that I had learned long ago, letting my voice be covered by the sound of the waterfall. I walk behind it, going into the secret cave that I had discovered. I was the only one that knew about it.

Still singing, I look at what I have placed inside. Glittering jewels, various leaves and flowers, and in the most dry part, a book. The one that he had given me before he ever loved Jade.

Tears in my eyes, I pick it up, opening it to the first page. For my dearest River, it says in long, flowing handwriting. May you enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed writing it for you. -Rowan

I clutched the book to my chest, curled up on the floor of the cave, and cried.
