Dess is having a dream. She looks all serious and determined.

Update: she's doing this weird bird call or something...battle cry maybe?

Update: Now she's talking in her sleep. She says "Of course I came! I want to restore what was lost long ago" ???

Update: She looks even more determined. I think she's fighting orcs.

Update: She looks panicked now. This can't be good...

Update: She's talking again. "No, Beetle, there's nothing we can do"

Okay now she is literally sobbing in her sleep

Update: Now she's singing Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold. IN HER SLEEP. She looks sad. I think she's at a funeral or something...

Explanation:

My dream-

I had led a huge army of elves to help the dwarves. So I did that bird call to alert Thorin that we were there. Thus the "of course I came" scene.

Then we fought a buttload of orcs. But when the battle was over, I looked to see Thorin dead. I ran over and Beetle came.

Why Beetle? Well when Thorin died in TH I made an alternate ending...

I used the Flower of Healing (magic rare cure-all elvish flower) to save him. When I used it, the flower turned into a tiny turquise dragon. I named it Beetle. That's how I got her! (I'll explain how I got Hans and Alfie later)

So that's why Beetle was there.

I sung Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold at Thorin's funeral.
