After that one time they talked about being friends until Naruto could figure out his own feelings, their lives had moved on peacefully since.

Sasuke didn't try to be suggestive even once after that, as if he didn't see Naruto as anything but a friend.

If Naruto didn't know what the future holds, he too would have completely believed it. Maybe that's why, he had no idea about Sasuke's feelings for him, until the very end when the raven himself confessed.

Is this how he was hiding it then..? Because he knew Naruto only saw him as a friend..?

It's almost the end of first year now and they were planning to hang out again over the weekend.

They've only been getting closer and more comfortable with each other but only as friends and nothing more.

Somehow, even though this should have put Naruto's mind at ease, it was making him feel really restless as more time passed.

He had a feeling that Sasuke would definitely not confess this time around, not even after graduation. Because he made it too obvious that he already knew and even suggested how he's not sure about what to do about it yet.

Was this really alright..? Just staying as friends like this..? Was Sasuke really alright with this? And what about Naruto?

He's had more than enough time to figure out his feelings by now. And honestly, he already knew he wasn't that opposed to the idea of dating Sasuke. He just didn't want to lose him as a friend.

But now.. Maybe, it's time he faced his own feelings. It was about time really.

So when they met up that weekend, Naruto asked Sasuke to stay over at his place, even though until now they didn't even try to cross that line.

After all, even though they seemed to be just friends on the outside, the feelings involved were long since beyond friendship.

"Are you asking that while knowing what I really feel for you?", Sasuke was serious, he never made it this obvious with his words before that he knows how Naruto was aware about the raven's feelings for him.

Naruto blushed but stood his ground, "Yeah, I thought it was about time we stop pretending to be friends.. I.. I'm really grateful for how considerate you've always been and I want to properly reciprocate your feelings for me.. I'm sorry I took so long to give you a reply", Naruto gave a guilty smile.

"What reply? I haven't even confessed yet dobe, I've been really curious about this since before, did I really make it that obvious?", Sasuke smirked amusedly.

"Uh.. That, well..", Naruto trailed off, it's not like he could tell him that he dreamt about the future where he was confessed to by Sasuke.

"It's fine, I'm not trying to interrogate you, you don't need to tell me.. Just don't look so guilty when you haven't even done anything to feel that", Sasuke smiled, gently ruffling his hair. This was the one thing that Sasuke never stopped doing, even after they decided to just be friends for a while.

Naruto smiled happily, leaning against the comforting touch, "Sasuke.. I love you"

Sasuke really wasn't expecting that but it was a pleasant surprise, "How dare you beat me to it! I love you more, Naruto", he said with the happiest smile as he pulled him into a hug.

"Wai- we're outside..!", Naruto struggled to get out of his tight embrace.

"Are you suggesting you'll let me if we're not outside?", Sasuke smirked teasingly. He felt so happy to finally get to openly flirt with his beloved.

Naruto was still for a moment before pulled away enough to look at him with a naughty grin and a cute blush, making Sasuke completely halt all his thoughts, "I could let you do even more too, if you want to..."

Sasuke immediately smothered him in a tight hug, a light blush dusting his pale cheeks, "Since when have you been this naughty, you little.."

Naruto giggled, embarrassed by his own words and boldness now, but he definitely didn't regret it. Sasuke had always been so precious to him, it took him a while to come into terms with his own feelings but now that he has, he wanted to do anything and everything to make this raven as happy as he's always made him and more.

Guess he should be thankful for that app after all, that helped him catch up to Sasuke's feelings for him.
