⎯⎯⎯ Astrid didn't want a tie to her name. In any way, shape or form. She'd rather much be known as just Astrid — considering who her father was. She'd keep her connections on the down low for years if needed. And she so desperately needed to.

⎯⎯⎯ Coming off from an NYPD desk job and a degree in criminal justice, Aaron Hotchner offered her a job. And seeing as though she was cooperating in the FBI Academy, she was the person who fit the bill. And the job he was offering her wasn't just any job, it was a job working at the place her father founded — The Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI. The dream job. Her dream job, to be exact.

⎯⎯⎯ And Astrid always made sure that nothing was going to stand in her way. Not even her reunion with her estranged father, him also coming back into the business and not even the resident genius that had won her heart over with one sentence.

⎯⎯⎯ Spencer Reid was a curious case. A genius with an IQ of 187 and could read up to 20,000 words per minute. Not a lot of men were like him — which possibly could've been a good thing to Astrid.

But Astrid to Spencer?

⎯⎯⎯ He'd felt a little intimidated by her — not because of anything that was negative about her, no, it more so had to do with the fact that she was very confrontational and had no issue being confrontational. And also the fact that he thought she was pretty just made him even more flustered to be around her.

⎯⎯⎯ Astrid, on the other hand, finds Spencer Reid incredibly adorable with his quirks and his rambles and his personality. From his gorgeous hair to his mismatched socks, she'd found him fascinating. She'd grown a soft spot for the man.

⎯⎯⎯ But falling in love amidst the chaos was strictly forbidden and when Spencer later on figures out who her father is, just makes it even more impossible.

⎯⎯⎯ And Astrid's world is about to turn upside down in the worst of ways. And there is no way she is prepared for that.
