LYDIA HEANEY WAS NOT A MORNING PERSON. LIKE, AT ALL.
Having to wake up ridiculously early in the morning for school was something she already detested enough, without piling on the added annoyance of having to wait for her twin sister, Imogen, to finally finish doing her hair and make-up in their shared bathroom after waiting for about twenty minutes. And yes, sure, Lydia could simply set an alarm so she could wake up a bit before her sister and be the first person to use the bathroom to get ready, but the thing was, she didn't necessarily want to do that.
To be fair, over the years Lydia had managed to form some form of routine each morning. After coming to the realisation that she was just too fond of sleep to set an earlier alarm, the youngest Heaney had learned to make do.
Her school uniform was always neatly folded and sat on the ottoman at the end of her bed each night, the make-up she knew she would need was neatly organised at the desk set up near her window, and she always made sure to pack her bag the night before, too. Plus she'd shower before bed the night before, knowing that Imogen usually had one in the morning. That way the only thing she needed to wait on Imogen exiting the bathroom was so she could brush her teeth and straighten her hair.
Today was no different.
Lydia kept a watchful eye on the small clock on her bedside, making sure that she wasn't giving her sister too long a time over the usual twenty minutes. As she absentmindedly watched the time, the thought of school began to creep into her mind.
There was a lot of anxiety for Lydia when it came to school. Not because she was particularly bad at school. She actually excelled in most of her subjects, apart from Physics, that class just gave her a cluster headache and made her want to sleep. She was so glad she could drop it next term.
It was more the people at school that were the source of Lydia's anxieties. There was a certain amount of attention that, no matter how quiet, and how good at avoiding any type of drama she was, she was always going to have on her. That was one of the perks of being the twin sister of one of the most popular girls at Higgs, people would always be watching her.
Lydia hated it.
The clock finally changed to a time that stirred the Heaney girl out of her dazed state. She let out a sigh as she stood up from her bed and made her way out of her room and down the hall to her and Imogen's shared bathroom.
Lydia held her arm up, fist clenched and ready to pound on the door, but the door was flung open before she had the chance. Imogen stood on the other side of it, a smug smile across her features as she glanced up at her twin's outstretched arm.
"Thought you might be out here." Imogen noted, looking annoyingly pleased with herself. "Bathroom's all yours."
Rolling her eyes, Lydia brushed past her sister, and into the cramped bathroom. She then plugged her straighteners into the socket and waited for them to heat up.
"You always take so bloody long." Lydia complained.
Imogen shrugged. "I'm allowed to. I'm the oldest."
"By twenty-five minutes!" Lydia exclaimed, annoyed already.
"That still makes me the oldest!"
A loud huff left Lydia's mouth as she reached for her toothbrush. Noticing that Imogen was still hovering near the doorframe, Lydia turned to face her, shoving the toothbrush in her mouth and starting to brush.
"Can I help you?" Lydia's tone was clipped as she spoke through a mouthful of toothpaste, growing increasingly annoyed at Imogen's lingering.
Imogen pulled a face, and mocked her twin sister in a higher-pitched voice, causing Lydia to glare at her even harder. The other girl also narrowed her eyes into a glare.
The two of them were fraternal twins. Which basically meant that they looked more like regular siblings, possibly even more like cousins, than actual twins. Whilst Imogen had her striking blue, doe-like eyes that were always quick to grab people's attention, like their mother's, Lydia's were a dark brown, and were almost perpetually hardened into a glare, like their father's. Both of their face shapes were remarkably different, and, of course, their personalities were almost polar opposites. This was why people were so often surprised when they told them that they were twins.
But if you were to see Lydia and Imogen glaring at one right now, you would have one of those Oh, yeah, twins. I definitely see it now moments.
"I was just going to ask if you were walking to school with Nick today." Imogen finally explained her reasoning for waiting.
Lydia spat out the toothpaste into the sink, rinsing her mouth and using a towel to dry her chin and mouth. She then turned her attention back to Lydia, raising one of her eyebrows.
"We walk together everyday." Lydia reminded her twin as she began doing her hair. "So, yeah. I am walking with him. . . why?"
"Well, I was wondering if you could maybe. . . ask him about that thing I was talking to you about last week?" Imogen wondered softly, tracing patterns into the doorframe. "About me and him?"
This question caused the youngest twin to shoot her other sister a deadpan look. "No. Absolutely not."
"But, Lyds-" Imogen tried to interject, but Lydia's mind was already made up.
"No!" Lydia reiterated, pointing the hair straighteners in Imogen's direction. "I already told you, I'm not being your wingwoman to help you get with my best friend!"
As soon as Imogen had brought up this idea the week before, Lydia had shut it down within a minute. Not only did the thought of Imogen and Nick being together make her want to be violently sick, but there was also a feeling of protectiveness that appeared within Lydia when it came to Nick.
He was the only person at school that seemed to genuinely prefer her over Imogen. Their friendship was genuine and true, and he was one of the most important people in Lydia's life. She wasn't about to let Imogen have him, too.
"You're so annoying!" Imogen complained.
An annoyed groan came from Imogen, who had realised that Lydia wasn't going to budge on this subject. The oldest sister then brought herself away from the doorframe of the bathroom, finally leaving Lydia alone.
Lydia listened as Imogen's footsteps made their way downstairs, growing silent as she reached the floor below. A relieved sigh left her mouth and she refocused her attention on straightening her hair. She was silent for the next few minutes, before she saw her phone light up as it buzzed with a text from where it sat on the counter.
Picking up her iPhone, Lydia smiled slightly as she read the text she'd just received.

Lydia smirked in success, now dreading the day ahead a little less. What could she say? She was a sucker for Sarah Nelson's infamous Rice Krispie cake.
🌸✨🌈🍂✧.* & ✧.*🦋💫🛼🍂
"You're awfully quiet today."
Lydia was snapped out of staring at the footpath beneath her feet by the voice of Nicholas Nelson. She snapped her head up to look at him, her eyebrows furrowing as she did so.
"Am I?" She wondered absentmindedly. "Sorry."
The two of them had been walking for about ten minutes, and were almost at their break-off point where Lydia would have to cross the road in order to get to Higgs. They had talked a regular amount, Lydia thought. But it was mostly about mundane things, like what Nick had gotten up to during their last week off from school. But, to be fair, Lydia knew most of what he had done anyway, and was more asking as a way of taking her mind off the ever-looming presence of school that was creeping nearer.
Nick shook his head. "You don't have to apologise for it." He reassured her, walking in pace with her as they rounded a corner. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay. I know you hate when new terms start back up."
"Yeah." Lydia nodded. "I'm fine, honestly. I just dread having to see all the people I've spent the last two weeks blissfully forgetting about."
Her tone was light, and Nick laughed quietly. "Yeah, I have to admit," Nick started. "Not having to listen to Harry constantly talking a load of crap has been pretty good."
The mention of Harry Greene caused Lydia to scrunch her nose up in disgust. If there was one boy at Truham that she would happily push down the stairs without any provocation, it would be him. Sure, Harry was just a class-A dick in general, but she and him had a past, which made her even more annoyed whenever he decided to open his mouth.
Now, Lydia will be the first to admit that agreeing to date Harry way back in Year Nine had not been a galaxy brain moment for her. But, she was only thirteen at the time, she didn't know herself very well back then, and all of their friends were there, probably because Harry had told them to be, so that she wouldn't want to say no and humiliate him in front of them all. It was definitely a peer-pressured situation, and she somehow ended that school day with a boyfriend she'd never even wanted.
Imogen had been pretty excited when her sister agreed to date Harry, as this had been the starting point of the Heaney twins being in with all the "cool kids", if you could even call them that. None of them were all that cool, to be honest.
Don't worry, though. The relationship with Harry only lasted about two months, and it ended because Lydia had decided Harry was a colossal piece of shit.
Also because Lydia was a giant lesbian, but that realization didn't happen for a good while after she'd broken up with him.
They had all been sitting at a picnic table outside Truham one morning, and she had been mid-conversation with Nick when Harry had decided it would be the most hilarious idea to throw one of the rugby balls at a group of kids from the year below as they walked by them. Isaac Henderson ended up being the one unlucky enough to be smacked in the face with it. Of course, Harry broke into loud laughter when he saw this, which pissed Lydia off. And then, once Isaac was out of earshot, Harry decided to start taking cheap shots at the younger boy's appearance.
That had been the final straw for Lydia, who ended up angrily cussing him out in front of all his rugby teammates and friends, and ultimately breaking off their relationship. Nick had watched the entire argument with a hidden smile, and put his hand over his mouth to muffle the snort that escaped him when Lydia referred to Harry as stupid fucking wanker.
"I swear, everytime I hear Harry's name being mentioned, I lose five years off of my life." Lydia joked.
Nick laughed quietly, nodding his head in agreement. "Yeah, I honestly don't understand what you saw in him in the first place."
Nothing. Lydia wanted to tell her best friend. I saw absolutely nothing in him because he's a boy! But the thought of airing her true feelings on her mistaken relationship with Harry gave Lydia the fear of all the questions that would probably arise if she said.
"That better not be judgement in your tone, Nicholas Nelson." Lydia shot him a warning glare as they rounded another corner, Truham finally coming into their view.
Nick held his hands up in defence. "Of course not." He assured her. "I would never judge my best friend. Who has apparently never judged anyone in her entire life."
Despite his annoying teasing, Lydia found herself chuckling in response to his quip. He'd made a very valid point, Lydia was pretty guilty of judging people either pre-emptively, or a bit too harshly.
"Touche."
The duo walked a few more steps before coming to a stop at the set of traffic lights that led away from Truham and towards Higgs. Luckily, for Lydia anyway, it was also a far enough distance away from Nick's usual hangout spot, which was a picnic table that was surrounded by all his rugby mates. Harry Greene included.
Lydia didn't ever frequent that table, as you probably presumed. Imogen certainly did though. Which, thinking about it now, was probably another reason Lydia never went over there as well.
"Okay, I'm gonna head into the hellhole now." Lydia told Nick, sending him an affectionate smile.
He returned it, nodding briefly. "Okay. Are we still meeting up to walk home after school?"
"Yeah, probably." Lydia informed him. "I don't think my gymnastics club starts until next week. I'll text you, though."
"Cool." Nick spoke again, going to turn around and walk away, but he turned back after half a second. "You sure you're okay?"
His question took Lydia by surprise, the Heaney girl lowering her finger from where it was about to press the traffic-light button. She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
"Yeah, honestly," she reiterated her answer from when he'd asked her before. "It's just back-to-school jitters."
Honestly, Lydia didn't really know if she was trying to convince Nick or herself. She knew that she would probably be fine for the rest of the day, but there was always a nagging voice in her mind trying to edge her towards unnecessarily panicking over absolutely nothing.
"I know, it's just. . ." Nick trailed off, looking like he was thinking deeply about his next words. "What happened over the holidays, when you had those panic attacks. . ." Lydia felt her stomach drop at the mention of them. "Just text me if you feel like that, okay? Or tell a teacher or something."
Nick's face was etched with worry as he looked at his best friend. He had witnessed one of the aforementioned panic attacks during the Christmas break. She had been over at the Nelson household, doing some homework with Nick, when one of them just came on all of a sudden. Nick had been in shock for a few moments, before ultimately calling for his mum, and trying his best to comfort Lydia without encroaching on her personal space too much and making matters worse. Sarah Nelson, ever the angel, had soon realised what was happening to the young girl, and talked her through it.
Shaking her head as she tried to push that memory out of her mind, Lydia merely sent Nick a small smile.
"I'm grateful for your concern, Nick." She told him earnestly. "But, honestly, I'm fine. I'll be fine. I haven't even had one since that night at your house, I swear."
Nick looked unsure, but eventually he nodded his head. He'd known Lydia for long enough to know that she would only share how she was truly feeling when she was fully ready. "Okay."
Lydia smiled shortly, going to turn back around and hit the button for the traffic lights again, but found herself being brought into a tight embrace before she could. Nick's reddish-brown hair blocked her eye line as the Nelson boy wrapped his arms around her torso.
Lydia let out a surprised huff, but hugged him back. She knew he had been worried about her ever since the incident at his house a few weeks before. He had constantly been texting her, and given that they texted every day, this meant a lot of messages from him. And throughout the ten minute walk to school, he'd asked her if she was okay approximately twelve times.
Was it somewhat annoying, constantly being checked on and asked the same question? Yes. But was she eternally grateful for Nick and his kindheartedness? Of course she was.
"Nick." Lydia laughed. "I'm fine." She assured him. "Now, you need to stop hugging me otherwise we're both gonna be late for school and I'll blame you."
This caused the Nelson boy to finally let go of her, a sheepish expression on his face. "Yeah, I'll meet you at the gates after school?"
Lydia nodded, finally pressing the button for the lights. "Yep, I'll text you nearer the end of the day."
Nick then nodded, finally turning around and walking over to Truham. Lydia also crossing over the road and walking towards the gates of Higgs.
Back to normal. How fun.
🌸✨🌈🍂✧.* & ✧.*🦋💫🛼🍂
Lydia forgot how much school could drag.
She had assumed, because it was the first day back, it would go fairly quick. What with the sudden change of routine from the last two weeks. But she was massively incorrect, the day was going agonisingly slow. And to make things worse, she had already eaten the slice of rice krispie cake Nick had given her on behalf of his mum this morning. So she didn't even have that to look forward to at lunch.
The Heaney girl was currently at her locker, quickly inserting the key into the small padlock and swinging open the door. Lydia started to sort through her notebooks, ignoring the hustle and bustle of the school hallways, something she often did so she wouldn't get too overwhelmed.
She had already had four classes, English, Maths, History and PE. Ultimately, it hadn't been too bad. The work had been easy enough, and the people she had been made to sit beside in class were people she didn't entirely hate.
Her form class had been changed, now a bunch of the years were intermingled and put into the same form. And according to the text she'd received from Nick earlier that morning, the same seemed to be happening at Truham.
Lydia's form class had been moved and she was now in one with a few familiar faces. She had recognised Tara Jones and Darcy Olsson almost instantly, and the two girls had sent her kind smiles as Lydia was ushered into a seat beside another girl she didn't recognise.
It turned out that Lydia's new form neighbour was named Elle Argent. She had transferred from Truham and it was her first day at Higgs. This made Lydia put in a bit more effort to be talkative, not wanting to come across as a bitch. Lydia often made bad first impressions with new people. Though, Elle had seemed happy enough to talk with her, even looking somewhat relieved when Lydia had started up a conversation with her not long after she'd sat down.
Unluckily, though, Lydia had not had any classes with Elle thus far. She'd seen Darcy in her History class, and Imogen was in her Maths class. But that was it.
As Lydia pondered who she might see in her next class, she felt a familiar presence beside her. Looking over, the Heaney girl saw the face of Tori Spring. The raven-haired girl was also digging though her locker, finally pulling out a Physics textbook with a satisfied glint in her eye.
The Spring girl felt eyes on her, and looked over, meeting eyes with Lydia. The blonde girl shot the other girl a quick smile.
"Hey, Tori." Lydia greeted. "How was your Christmas?"
Tori was another Higgs student that Lydia didn't mind the company of. They two of them had become somewhat familiar with one another the year before when they'd been partnered together in Physics class. Lydia still pitied Tori for being partnered with herself, probably the worst student in their class.
When they had first been paired together, Lydia had been dreading it. Everyone at Higgs knew that Victoria Spring was very aloof and standoff-ish. She rarely spoke to anyone unless under dire circumstances, and everyone's initial impression of her was of one that she wasn't the nicest person.
Lydia was ashamed that she had shared this opinion before she had truly gotten to know Tori. Because, as it turned out, Tori was a pretty awesome person.
Due to the nature of some of the Physics projects, it had required some extra work and studying outside of school hours. The two of them had chosen to go to the Spring household, much to Lydia's surprise. Tori was a pretty closed-off person, so when she'd offered up her house, it was surprising.
Though Lydia sometimes wondered if the thought of having to endure Imogen out of school hours was a nightmarish thought for the Spring girl. Which was kind of understandable. Lydia loved her sister, she truly did, but Imogen could be a lot sometimes.
Lydia had also met Tori's younger brother, Charlie, during these studying sessions. He was probably the sweetest boy she'd ever met in her life. The two of them had briefly bonded over their similar taste in music one time, when Tori had been getting some drinks for herself and Lydia.
"It was fine. Quiet." Tori responded to Lydia's question, turning her head to face the Heaney girl. "What about yours?"
Smiling softly, Lydia closed her locker to fully face the other girl. "Yeah, it was fine. I enjoyed the break from this place."
"Understandable." The Spring girl nodded.
The two of them then fell into an awkward silence. It stretched for a few minutes before Tori was the one to break it.
"So, do you have Physics next, as well?" She asked Lydia, causing the Heaney girl to look at her new timetable.
"Oh, yeah!" Lydia realised. "I do, actually! Do you think Mr Stewart will just let us stay partners like we were last year?"
The two of them started walking to their Physics class, shoulder to shoulder. Tori shrugged.
"I don't know." Tori answered honestly. "Hopefully. You're probably the only person in that classroom I can actually stand."
Lydia felt her cheeks redden, and she quickly looked away from where she had been staring at Tori's side profile.
For god sake, Lydia. She thought to herself. Pull yourself together.
Though Lydia would vehemently deny it if she were ever asked, she had a massive crush on Tori Spring last term.
It had faded now, but still, the compliment was obviously going to make her blush a little bit. Mostly
because compliments from Victoria Spring were extremely rare. Lydia was just grateful Tori hadn't said this to her before the winter holidays, because she probably would have been a stuttering mess and embarrassed herself more if she were still in full-on crush mode.
The two girls continued to walk to their class, but Lydia kept her eyes straight ahead. Maybe it was her increased anxiety, or maybe she was just overly-paranoid, but the thought of anyone else seeing how she used to look at Tori scared her. As stupid as that sounded.
So she'd bury it, like she always did. It's what she was good at and it worked, so why wouldn't she?
🌸✨🌈🍂✧.* & ✧.*🦋💫🛼🍂
The next few weeks of school flew in.
For Lydia, she found herself in the same basic routine of getting up, going to school, coming home and doing homework, then repeating the same thing all over again. Much like what she had been doing the term before, and the one before that, and the one before that.
She and Tori were still partners in Physics, she still talked to Elle every morning in form class, they'd even have lunch together sometimes. Though, she wouldn't go as far as to say they were friends. Acquaintances, maybe. But not friends. Not yet, anyway.
She and Nick continued to walk to and from school together, meeting up at the Truham gates each day after his rugby practice and Lydia's gymnastics club. Though, it seemed like Nick's first few weeks back had been more eventful than her's. He'd met her at the gates one day with blue-stained hands, and Lydia chose not to question it.
Though she did suspect that Nick's unusually chipper and happy attitude of late was due to his new, budding friendship with a certain Charlie Spring. Nick had always been a positive, ray-of-sunshine type of boy, but he seemed to be shining even brighter ever since Charlie had accepted his offer of joining the Truham rugby team.
She'd seen Charlie again for a few, brief minutes on the days when she'd wait on Nick finishing rugby. The two of them would always walk out together. Charlie seemed somewhat comfortable making small talk with Lydia, given that they had bonded slightly the term before, and Charlie was too nice for Lydia to not make small talk back.
Apart from that, though, everything was pretty much back to normal, like it had been before the winter holidays. Lydia was already bored of it.
The walk to her form class was a brisk one this morning, not many people were in the corridors. Lydia's school bag felt annoyingly heavy, probably due to the History essay she was expected to hand in it at the end of the day.
What kind of evil teacher assigned their students an essay this soon into the new term? Seriously, it should be considered a hate crime, in Lydia's opinion.
The only saving grace was the fact that she had gymnastics at the end of the day. Lydia loved Gymnastics, and had done ever since she was little. It was one of only two extra-curriculars she participated in.
The other was the school orchestra, but that was more due to the fact that they were often in dire need of a piano player. Lydia enjoyed doing charity work, so she'd agreed to fill in if ever required to.
Lydia's walk to her form was soon interrupted as she saw Miss Greenwood, her form teacher quickly walking up to her.
"Lydia!" The teacher exclaimed, looking relieved. "Just the girl I was looking for!"
Lydia blanched slightly. She couldn't be in trouble, could she? It was only the second week back!
"Really?" Lydia replied with the only response she was able to form in her mind.
The young teacher smiled. "Don't worry, it's nothing bad." She assured the teenager. "The headmistress just wants to see you in her office."
That definitely sounded bad, right? Or was Lydia just preemptively panicking? She could never really tell these days.
"Me?" Lydia pointed at herself, and Miss Greenwood nodded in confirmation. "Why?"
"I'm not sure, she just told me to send you along to see her. It sounded pretty urgent so you should probably go now."
Nodding unsurely, Lydia muttered a quiet, "Okay."
The Heaney girl then turned around, and walked back in the direction she had been coming from before. She dug in her blazer pocket, and brought out her phone to discreetly check it. There were no missed calls from her mum, nor Imogen. So it couldn't be some sort of family emergency.
Lydia quickly typed out a text, sending it to Nick.
FROM: sarah nelson's favourite child😌
not me getting called to the headmistresses office at 8 on a monday morning
idk what i've done
actually i've not done anything so idk wtf is happening
thoughts and prayers pls
She received a response only twenty seconds after sending her own message, Nick would be in his own Form class right about now.
FROM: nellie's owner🐶🏉
godspeed my friend
also charlie says hi and that he hopes everything goes okay for you
FROM: sarah nelson's favourite child😌
thnx
also tell charlie i say thank you and he's the best 💖💖
and also my favourite
you've been replaced nick
Just after hitting send on the last message, Lydia saw the Headmistress' office come into view. She quickly shoved her phone back in the pocket of her blazer. Phone's were prohibited in school, and walking up to the headteacher's office with one was basically asking for your phone to be confiscated.
Lydia hovered for a few seconds, staring nervously at the door, before bringing her hand up and knocking quickly on it. There was a slight shuffling noise before the door was thrust open, the familiar face of Higgs' headteacher standing in front of her.
"Hi, Miss." Lydia greeted shakily. "Um, Miss Greenwood told me that I was to come here?"
"Yes, Lydia, hello!" The headmistress welcomed her, beckoning Lydia into the office. "I did request your presence."
Lydia walked into the room, and automatically noticed the other presence in the room with them. It was another teenage girl. She was sitting on one of the next to the headteacher's desk.
Lydia, who constantly told herself off for staring too long and making herself look like a weirdo, was doing exactly that. Staring. She couldn't help it, the stranger in the room was as pretty as she was mysterious. The girl had long, dark brown hair that reached just below her shoulders. Her eyes were kind, and after a few seconds of silence, they looked up and locked onto Lydia's.
The sudden eye contact was what broke the Heaney girl out of her staring. Lydia then averted her gaze back at the headmistress, who was still smiling at the two of them.
"Lydia, this is Quinn Goldman." The older woman introduced them. "Quinn, this is Lydia Heaney. She's going to be your student guide this week!"
If Lydia had been taking a drink, this would be the moment where she'd have taken a spit take right in the teacher's face. But, instead, all Lydia found herself being able to do was stare incredulously at the woman in front of her.
"Oh, cool." Quinn spoke for the first time, and Lydia was surprised by the American accent that tumbled out of the brunette's mouth. "I've never had one of those before. . . well, probably because I've never moved schools before. But, it seems fun!"
The new girl was a nervous rambler, it seemed.
"Um," Lydia spoke up softly, bringing the attention back to her. "But, I'm not a prefect, or anything. I thought it was only prefects that did stuff like that."
By all accounts, it should be Imogen in this situation, seeing as it was her who ended up getting the role as prefect. Not Lydia.
"Yes, usually it is." The headmistress nodded in agreement. "But, I was chatting with Miss Greenwood, and she agreed that you would be our best option to help welcome Quinn to Higgs."
So Greenwood had known why she was needed in the headteacher's office. What a sneaky little liar.
Also, Lydia wasn't dumb. She knew that chatting with Miss Greenwood probably meant that the two teachers were aware of Lydia's severe lack of friends at this school. This whole Student Guide thing was probably just an attempt at helping the Heaney girl make some new friends that weren't Nick and Nellie. It hadn't been the first time a teacher had expressed concern at the lack of people that Lydia surrounded herself with.
"Well, I'm pretty excited about this arrangement." Quinn piped up, a kind smile adorning her face as she looked up at Lydia from her seat.
Lydia did her best to smile back.
The headmistress then stood from her own seat, clapping lightly as she looked between the two girls. "Wonderful!" She happily exclaimed. "I feel like the two of you are going to get along great!"
Lydia gulped.

DISCLAIMER!
I don't own Heartstopper! all rights for the show and it's respective characters go to alice oseman and netflix! i only own lydia, quinn, and their respective storylines and romance and all that jazz!
AUTHORS NOTE!
hey guys! i'm sorry this chapter is so rushed and shitty lmao. in all honesty, i just wanted to get it done bc i hate introductory chapters, i promise not all of my chapters will be this bad moving forward lol❤️. but aside from that, i hope you enjoyed this introduction to Lydia! i literally love her so so much. she's my little awkward lesbian bean and ugh i'd die for her ngl. and her and nick's friendship is one of my fave dynamics to write, i love them so much. also they are not a romantic ship, they'll never get together in this fic so i just wanna put that out there now lmao 😂💖.
i hope i done a good enough job in this chapter of showcasing her personality and relationships with people. i know she's only really interacted with Nick and Imogen as of now, but i promise she'll have have scenes with more characters coming up soon! leave a comment if there's anyone in particular you want Lydia to have a scene with!! i'd love to hear ur thoughts!
the next chapter will be a introduction to Quinn! which i'm excited about! it'll be set in the same episode as this one! so episode one will still be the backdrop for chapter two, and possibly three as well! but yeah, quinn is so cute and i just love her so much.
but yea, sorry if this chapter is crap! there was no actual dialogue from the show in this one or the next one, but when i start actually writing lydia and quinn into the episodes and scenes, i'm sure i'll get a lot better at writing it😂💖!
ty all for reading, i hope you enjoyed chapter one! 💖💓
