I fell down into my chair and slouched. I hoped that Jasper wouldn't punish me. "Why is she out?" Jasper asked. Why was she talking to me instead of lapis? I looked over to lapis and her expression darkened. I had to stand up for her.

"She was checking to make sure the engine was working-" Jasper narrowed her eyes then walked off. I sighed in relief  then looked back at lapis. "How did your gem get fixed?" I asked her. She didn't answer. "Do you know anything about earth?"

"I WON'T TELL YOU ANYTHING!" she yelled at me. She ran down the hall and shut herself in her cell, crying.
I really messed up. But that wasn't even the real problem. She might not want to be friends anymore. But as the days would pass, maybe she'd forget what mean things I've said to her.
