14 - Marinette
Marinette couldn't sleep. She tossed and she turned, but she couldn't sleep. At three in the morning, she finally knew what she should do. She shook her kwami awake, nodding. "Spots on." She said quietly, transforming.
Ladybug zipped quietly through the city, breathing in the cold crisp air. She went the long way, taking her sweet time. Finally, it was the only place in city left to go to. Ladybug landed on a nearby roof, watching the building. Her eyes caught cameras and she timed her jump. When she landed on the ledge of the open window, she sprung through, catching herself quietly. He was looking at something, back hunched, lamp on. Ladybug slunk in the darkness of the room, watching. She approached silently, watching his careful hands caress a photo. It was a picture of her. The one Ladybug had sent on the night of the Evillustrator incident. "Adrien." Ladybug said, stepping back.
"Ladybug." Adrien said, turning around.
He moved to take a step and Ladybug took two backwards. Adrien stopped, one foot slightly in front of the other. Their eyes fought lovingly, betraying the emotions each had inside of them. Ladybug took one step closer, then another. Before she knew it, she was wrapped in Adrien's warm embrace, "I love you. I'm sorry. I told you I was scared." Ladybug rambled.
"I love you, too, Mari, and I don't care. You came around. That's all that matters." Adrien squeezed Ladybug tighter.
His biggest fears were gone. Ladybug accepted and even loved him. "I'm not scared anymore." Ladybug said, pulling back slightly.
"Never be." Adrien placed his hands on Marinette's shoulders.
Marinette de-transformed and felt Tikki land on her head. "Can I see him?" Tikki squeaked.
"You'll never wake him at this hour." Adrien said.
He stood corrected when a black spot rushed past him and collided into Tikki. "Tikki!"
"Plagg!" Tikki said, the two Kwamis hugging tightly.
They disappeared as they went to catch up and... talk. "They're so cute." Marinette sighed.
"You're so cute." Adrien kissed Marinette's forehead.
"You're cuter, Chatton." Marinette said, kissing Adrien.
"I'll love you forever." Adrien said as the two parted, having somehow ended up on Adrien's bed.
"I'll love you more forever." Marinette teased.
Adrien laughed, embracing Marinette again. They settled into comfortable silence. Marinette was thinking about Adrien's distinct eyes. "Adrien?" Marinette asked then.
"Yeah?" Adrien yawned.
"Tell me about you." Marinette sighed, shifting closer.
