Ranpo: Karl? What's Karl doing here? Is that Poe's book...? What too lazy to walk to the agency and give the book in person now?

Karl jumps out of Atsushi hands and ran straight to Ranpo, handing him the book, Ranpo look at the book in shock as there was blood on it

Yosano: blood...
Ranpo: wha... No... Karl where's Poe?!

Karl got down from the table and crawl out of the room, Ranpo quickly give chase and Yosano along with Atsushi follow as well, they ran down the street somewhere near the agency into a alley way, but there was nothing, not a single person in sight..
Only slight bit of blood on the ground

Ranpo: wha... No no no no no this is not happening again!!
Yosano: hey wiat calm down! Maybe he's somewhere near here, let's look around and ask if people saw him! He's a tall guy, no way no one could seen him
Atsushi: how is this possible... With his ability I thought Mr. Poe could protect himself...
Ranpo: it couldn't be them.... Could it?
Yosano: hey breathe in and out, we'll find him im sure

They all spread out in different directions and ask many people, some said they did saw the tall man walk pass by but they than minded their own business and didn't see anyone like him again, nor have they seen any individual that was described like him walking around

Ranpo: danmit!!
Yosano: crap... They really have taken him?!
Atsushi: who?! Who has taken him?!
Ranpo: them...
Atsushi: Ranpo san I'm sorry but there's not munch we can do here... Let's go to the police and file a missing person report, maybe they can help
Ranpo: are you insane?! Those people will kill all the police with no hesitation! Whether they have abilities or not, their no armatures Atsushi! If we make 1 wrong move he's dead for!
Atsushi: I can't understand what and why are you so worried! I get it that your worried about Mr. Poe getting kidnapped but by who?! Can't you thinker it out?!
Ranpo: I already know who they are! I just... Can't put other's lives at risk when it comes to them... Unlike the Port Mafia their not something you can just joke about... Tsk... I'll go deal with this myself, you 2 go back to the agency
Atsushi: wha-
Yosano: leave him be Atsushi, this battle is never ours to begin with
