The court yard was empty except for the fairies. They stared helplessly at the platform where their friend had been.

"Lucy?" they suddenly heard Warren exclaim. "Are you okay?"

They couldn't hear the other half of the conversation but everyone listened as if they could.

"West gates? At midnight? Got it. See ya than Lucy." Warren said his fingers placed against his temple and his eyes squeezed shut with concentration from keeping a conversation with someone farther away. He opened his eyes to see everyone staring at him with anticipation.

"West gates at midnight, Lucy said she'd find a way to get there."

"Wha-" Natsu was about to say something when hew was cut off by a loud noise.

"Natsu?" a new voice asked.

"Sting?!?" they all questioned looking at the blonde boy on the ground in front of them.

"Sting!" They heard another voice call. Behind Sting, Rogue walked up with Lector and Frosh next to him. "You baka! Don't run off like that!"

Sting was about to reply when he stopped and sniffed the air.

"She's here." he said, his voice small and quiet.

"Who?" Erza asked as Sting stood.

"Yukino." Natsu said. Everyone stared at him with confusion. "I could smell her on Lucy but wasn't sure. You two showing up confirmed it, wherever Lucy is she is with Yukino."

"Well if that's the case," Carla said speaking up, "you guys should come with us, we can work together and get both of our celestial wizards back."

"Time?" Natsu asked searching the dark area for signs of life.

"11:56" Gray responded. Natsu, Sting, and Gray were hiding in the forest outside of the west gates waiting for Lucy.

"Where is she?" Natsu whispered to himself.

"Don't worry, she'll come." Sting assured. Natsu looked at him confused and Sting simply replyed, "dragon slayer hearing".

About five anxiety filled minutes later the gate opened and a figure limped out into the open. At first Natsu was relieved than his heart stopped.

"Somethings wrong" he said glancing at Sting whose eyes were wide.

"What do you mean?" Gray asked.

"That's not Lucy."

The figures cloak slid down to the ground revealing a girl covered in bruises and scars. Her hair clumped and dirtied. And years streaming down her face.

"Yukino!" Sting cried running towards her with Gray and Natsu on his heels.

Sting wrapped his arms around Yukino's shaking figure squeezing her as her body went limp. He gently lowered her to a sitting position on the ground and moved away.

"She saved me" Yukino whispered looking directly at Natsu.

"What happened? What about her plan?" Gray asked.

"I'm afraid her plan was a success." Yukino whimpered as she shifted uncomfortably on the ground. "I believe her true intentions were to save me. I had no idea this would happen." The three boys looked down sympathetically at the crying girl.

"I'm so sorry" she managed to say between sobs. "They're going to kill her."

Yukino did her best to explain what happened. How they were running down the halls when they heard the guards coming. Lucy told Yukino to keep going and she would catch up even though they both knew there was no way Lucy would win in the condition she was in. Yukino ran honoring Lucy's last wish. She knew there was nothing she could do.

After a couple minutes Sting scooped Yukino up into his arms and the three made their way back to the inn where they were staying. Yukino silently cried most of the but to Sting's relief fell asleep.

"What are we going to do?" Gray asked.

"We're going to save Lucy" Natsu said.

Oh Luce. You're such a baka. He thought to himself. You better be okay because of I find you dead.... He shook his head trying not to think about it.
