Why the heck did you put 'Dragneel' in my name?

"Have we ever met before? Like, before our first meeting at school...have we ever met before that?"

He stiffened when I asked him this question. Gone was his goofy smile and carefree expression. He clenched his fist and gulped. If I wasn't paying attention to how he reacted, I would've never noticed his Adam apple bobbing ever so lightly and his nerves lightly popping out from his left arm. He relaxed and then breathed out, lightly, may I add.

"What made you say that?" He asked me, smiling a little?

"I uh, get these crazy feeling...I can't describe it properly...just tell me if we have." I said.

"I think we might have met in business meetings of our parents. I don't exactly remember. We must have met at gatherings like those when we were young. As far as I can remember, Dragneels and Heartfilias have been allies for like what? 25 years? Maybe more?" He calmly replied.

Why do I get this feeling that my friends are hiding something from me?

Specially Natsu.

"Maybe." I sighed in defeat. I can't inquire without letting out the fact that something weird has been happening to me. The last thing I want to do is to make them think I'm a lunatic.

Like how people over there thought about me.

"What's on your mind, Luce?" Natsu raised a brow.

"Um...I don't know. Why do I....why do I feel like-

"We're here." He cut me off.

Typical pink haired dickhead.

"Ready?" He asked me.

"As I'll ever be." I sighed.

We opened the doors of our sides and looked to the building in front of us. Magnolia Hospital was a really famous hospital in Fiore. The walls were made up of white marble, with a dome-shaped glass structure built on the center top of it. Overall, it looked like a fine building but who knows about the horrors this building would've seen.

And I don't doubt that Fairy Tail would've wrecked at least a part of it. That's how we work.

"The last time I came here, I had sprained my knee, and I burnt the curtains of my unit." He grinned and scratched his head nervously. "Also, there's a really monstrous lady here that I have to hide from." He gulped nervously.

My reaction: jawdropped, eyes wide, almost dead.

"Let's go." He half hugged me and took me inside. His arm was around my back with his hand on my shoulder and his right side hugging my left.

He's too warm. I can probably fall asleep right now in this warmth.

Congratulations, Lucy Layla Heartfilia. You're officially a lunatic for thinking like that, and now you're talking to yourself again.

Great. Just great. Just fucking great.

We entered through the main hospital gates, where the cold breeze of air conditioner grazed my skin and I shivered. Natsu noticed and further hugged me tight, his warmth lulling me to subconsciousness.

"Is my doctor here now?" Natsu slammed his hand on the counter, scaring the soul out of poor receptionist.

"Um, no- uh what- oh- Good evening Mr. Dragneel. Yes, uh, I think you might've made an appointment-

"Just tell me if Dr. Roka is here." He groaned.

"He is. Same room. Who's the patient?" She asked him.

"Thanks Sakura!" He held my hand and guided me down a corridor to the right. We turned left from there after crossing 4 doors on the left side. We finally reached a door that had...no label but a business card instead of it. Natsu, being him didn't even bother knocking to the door. Instead, he turned the knob and slammed the door open.

"Rich Tart! We're here!" Natsu hollered!

The doctor was startled and dropped his files. He put a hand on his heart and gasped.

"Mr. Dragneel! My, you were about to give me a heart attack!" He spoke.

"Sorry doc, but you have a patient here," he pulled me in front of him and said, "Meet Lucy. She has a few complaints about her head and can I talk to you abut something outside?"

"Yes. Miss Lucy, please lay down on the bed over there and we'll be back in a jiffy. Excuse us." He politely said and went outside to talk with Natsu. Meanwhile I laid on the really white and not-so-comfortable bed, waiting for them. Instantly, I started thinking about telling the doctor about these weird flashes I've been getting. They feel so...true, like it really happened with me because I feel the exact same way that child would've felt.

Sometimes, it feels like those are my lost memories.

I heard the knob turn and saw the doctor and Natsu entered, with him looking worried and the doctor unfazed.

"So, Mrs. Dragneel, what exactly-

"Why is there 'Dragneel' in my name?" I asked the doctor.

"Ask Mr. Dragneel." He replied.

"Why the heck did you put 'Dragneel' in my name?" I scowled at him.

"You see my dear Luce, we had a few problems here and there, didn't we? That's why I changed your name to Lucy Dragneel, for precautions and safety. They'll just call you Mrs. Dragneel." He sweetly replied.

"Great. Okay. I'll ignore it this time, but it shouldn't happen next time." I strictly told him.

"Sure. Let's just hope you don't come back here." He replied. "And I hope by then you'll really be that." He whispered so lightly that I thought I might be making up stuff.

"What did you say?" I asked.

"What did I say?" He asked me.

The doctor cleared his throat, snapping us out of our little trance.

"May I ask what the problem is?" Dr. Roka asked me.

"I exactly don't know what the problem is but...it has been a few weeks since I've been getting these weird...things. It always results in me covered in sweat. Sometimes, my head hurts or I feel numb. I've been stressing over it a lot probably or over studies. I don't think it's much of an issue." I told him.

"If it wasn't that big of a deal, he would not have brought you here Ms. Lucy. Tell me, does your hand shake while you have these...let's just call it 'flashbacks'? Any other stuff you've observed in your body?" He noted down what I said and waited for my reply.

"Come to think of it, yes. I've been noticing that my legs or hands sometimes shake and I've been feeling weaker." I said.

"Have you been eating well?" He asked.

"Enough to fulfill my needs." I said.

"Well then, I can't say anything but it might be stress or you just might not be eating properly, causing your body to get weaker and your mind making random scenes. I will give you a few medicines to relieve your headache and to fulfill your nutrient requirements." He wrote it all down on a prescription and handed it to Natsu.

"Take good care of her, Mr. Dragneel." Dr. Roka said.

"Don't worry doc. I'm with her now." He grinned and helped me stand up.

"Thank you Dr. Roka." I politely said.

"You are very welcome Mrs. Dragneel." He winked. I shuddered.

The whole ride back to my house was eerily quiet. Levy called me and asked what the doctor said and I told her that I was okay. I was now getting ready for bed and thinking about Natsu.

You sure think about him a lot.

Shut up.

I didn't lie.

Fuck off.

Right now, Natsu was sitting on the sofa, his head down and his hair a total mess.

"Natsu what's wrong?" I went up to him and sat besides him. He stayed quiet and kept looking down.

"Natsu?" I shaked him a little.

"Hm?" He hummed.

"What's wrong? You've been acting different all day." I told him.

"Have I?" He asked. I nodded.

"To be honest, I've been thinking about how things have changed from the day you and I met." He softly smiled.

"Like how?" I asked him.

"I used to be an idiot and an immature kid, but now I...I have gotten a little more mature and responsible, at least that's what the gang told me." He replied.

"They're not wrong. You've changed from being a narcissist- oh wait, you still are. I need to use a little more proper words to describe it." I stuck my tongue out.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked me, very evilly.

"That means...why are you looking at me like that? It's creepy. Stop it. Wait- no, no, no!" I ran away from him because I realized that evil look.

Tickle wars, that meant.

At that time, we laughed and enjoyed our night while we still could, not knowing the dreadful future that had yet to come.
