Welcome to your new home.
Sleep.
Sleep.
More sleep.
Flat on the bed whole day.
That's me right now, in case you didn't notice.
We returned back to our houses from East Forest early morning. Of course, I had to feed two more hungry stomachs because of a little 'stunt' I pulled. Gray and Jellal have a huge appetite. Thank the big guy up there that I had enough money to treat them.
Their appetite is not bigger than Natsu's. He can even chow the house down if he wishes.
It's Sunday today, meaning I have to do a lot of stuff, which includes house chores, mending the punctured tyre of my car, grocery shopping, etc. I'd cleaned the house and was about to go take a shower, when I heard my phone ring.
"Hello?"
"Hey Luce?"
"Yes, Natsu? What's up?"
"You free?"
"I was about to-
"So you're not free?"
"I didn't-
"That means you're free!"
"Nat-
"Get ready. I'll be at your place in 30."
"Hey! Wait! Natsu-
He dropped the call.
"Why the hell is that bastard so annoying?!"
Frustrated, I threw my phone on the bed which hopped and flipped. I ran over to my closet and pulled out the first outfit my eyes landed on. I stripped and rushed to the bathroom, taking a quick shower. I applied some mascara and a lip gloss that made my lips look super glossy.
It's a gloss, stupid. Of course, it'll make your lips glossy.
When I came back to my bedroom, I screamed.
"I missed this place." Natsu smiled.
"Intruder alert!" I tried to Lucy-kick him but he caught my leg and turned me upside down.
"You need to work harder on your self defense techniques, Luce." Natsu said, humour lacing his voice.
"Eek! Let me go Natsu!"
It was like my skirt was trying to reveal my-
"Nice underwear."
Thank you very much, oh sweet life.
"PERVERT!" He cackled and made me flip back. I landed on the couch safely and he- oh no, no, no!
This is bad. This is very bad.
Still don't get it? He's on top of me.
And that evil glint in his eyes tell me something is fishy.
And guess what? I was right, because he started to tickle me.
At least he didn't kiss you.
Great. Just great. Since when did I start thinking like that?
"NATSU!"
I screamed his name and howled with laughter as Natsu continued to tickle me to death.
"S-stop! Nat- STOP!"
I could not control it. Natsu stopped for a few seconds and started tickling me again.
It's not my fault if I'm ticklish, okay?
"I'll stop if you say, 'Natsu, you're the most sexiest and handsome guy I've ever seen.' "
"Never!"
"You don't say 'never' to Natsu Dragneel, Luce, or something unexpected can happen."
He started tickling my feet and my neck along with my stomach.
"Okay, l-let me b-reath."
He didn't stop.
"Nice trick. If I stop, that means you win!"
Since when did he get so smart?
"Okay, okay! Nat-su you're- the most s-stupidest-
"What did you say?" Natsu cackled evilly. He was challenging me to continue speaking.
"Natsu, you're the- most- sexiest and- handsome- guy I've- ever- seen. Here!" I say while stabilizing my breathing.
"That's my girl." He grinned.
Wait- did he just say 'my girl'?
Why does it sound so familiar and so foreign at the same time?
"Anyways, why were you in such a hurry, Natsu?"
"Oh, I- I just... uh, I uh-
"Natsu? Did you do something?" I asked him. He is literally a guy who attracts catastrophe everywhere he goes. He can burn down the whole city, if he wishes.
"Luce, will you go grocery shopping with me? I have a list of things to buy and I seriously don't know where I will find them." He blushed.
Why the hell is he blushing?
"Whoa! What's the rush? Okay, I'll go. Besides, I needed to buy some groceries too."
"Great! I'll be in the car. Come down after you're done fixing your nest of a hair." Natsu said hurriedly.
"What in the-
Before I could do something, he literally jumped out of the window.
And I still can't figure out how he ends up safe and sound.
"I HAVE A DOOR, YOU KNOW!"
Sighing, I fixed my hair, grabbed my phone and purse, put on a pair of comfortable shoes- don't ask me why, but I feel comfortable running with my shoes and since it's Natsu, it's better to be prepared for running- and went downstairs.
We went to the grocery store and as usual, caused a mess (I bought extra bottles of Tabasco for Natsu, though. He mostly stays at my place and loves spicy food and eats everything in my fridge). After that, we went to the park to grab some ice cream.
"Hey, Luce?"
"Hm?"
"Nothing."
"Is something wrong?" I turned to him, licking my ice cream. He was watching his feet.
"What am I to you?"
"Huh?" I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion. He looked at me and laughed.
"You have ice cream on your nose. Here, let me wipe it."
He inched closer to me and I moved a little backwards. He was getting closer and closer to me.
I can kiss him if he gets closer.
Oh, shut up!
"Natsu?"
And guess what? He licked me, my nose actually, wiping the dot of ice cream he spotted.
"Eww!"
He clutched his stomach and started laughing. Seeing him laugh made me laugh. His laugh is contagious, who am I kidding?
But wait. It's revenge time!
While he was laughing, I took a bite of his third ice cream. He looked at me and grinned evilly.
"You really shouldn't have done that."
"Oh no, no, no, no, no, no!"
I stood up and ran in the park, trying my best to hide from the fiery demon who ate his ice cream in a gulp, lurking in the park, running around to find me.
"Oh, Luuuuuuuuce? Where are you?"
I tried my best to not laugh, eventually being successful at suppressing it.
"You can run as much as you want to, but you can't hide from me."
This line... I heard it from somewhere...
"You can run as much as you want to, but you can't hide from me!"
The little girl wearing a pink frock hid behind the bushes, trying to hide from someone. She had short blonde hair that were tied in two pigtails. Her chocolate brown eyes held happiness and amusement. She covered her mouth with her little hands, trying her very best to suppress the giggles that were trying to escape her lips.
"Remember this, no matter where you go, I'll find you. I'll find you and never let you go."
Her eyes widened when she felt the bush move and-
"Found ya, Luce."
"Natsu!"
I shrieked and jumped back, moving away from the beast scaring me. Suddenly, I felt myself trip.
Gravity is such a bitch.
But wait, why didn't I touch the ground?
I opened my eyes slowly, only to see Natsu holding me up. Our noses were only an inch apart.
"Are you okay?" I nodded.
"Just a little dizzy." I rubbed my forehead in an attempt to relieve the pain forming. His eyes widened all of a sudden.
"Come on. Let's take you home."
We walked back to the car. Natsu opened the door for me and I sat, the familiar scent of the car enveloping me, providing me comfort. Natsu jumped inside and started driving. This was my cue to think about that short- dream? Memory? What should I call it? Who was in that little scene?
Why did it feel so real? Why did it feel like I've seen this before?
"Lucy?"
"Hm?"
"What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing."
"You know that you can trust me, right?" Natsu looked at me, concern lacing his voice.
"Of course. Why are you-
"It's good enough for me."
Natsu turned back and stared back at the road. His hand clutched the steering wheel once, but then went loose. His face masked many emotions, emotions that I couldn't read.
"Hey, Natsu? We're going the wrong way."
"I know. I'm taking you somewhere. It's not so far away."
"Where-
"We're here."
I stepped out of the car, my feet taking me to a shop.
"Magnolia Pet Stop." I said.
"You love dogs, don't you?"
"How did you know?"
"Uh, I just do." He hesitated before answering.
What's with him today?
"So you're saying that you're buying me one?"
"Yeah. Consider this as my apology for the little 'ruckus' I caused a few days ago." Natsu scratched his head.
"It's okay Natsu. I already forgave you."
An old man came out of the door behind a counter and gave us a tour to his shop. I kept scanning every single pet but none of them caught my eye.
"Found any?"
"No I- hold on. This one's been staring at me for quite a while."
I hesitantly walked to a cage to the dog whom I noticed was staring at me. When I came near him, it barked, wagged its tail and started rolling. It was a white dog with a cute little nose. It's eyes twinkled when I brought my hand near to the cage. He came running and licked it. I laughed at the little cute moment we shared.
"Hey, buddy!" He barked again like he was replying.
"I see now. This one was found in a church nearby. It has been a long time and nobody picked him up. I guess he was waiting for a good owner and seems like he found them. I believe that you both will take care good care of him." The old man smiled.
"Uh, no. It's for her. I er- I'm not- this is hers." Natsu grinned sheepishly.
"Kids these days, always in denial." The old man laughed and patted Natsu's shoulder. Natsu opened his mouth to say something but he cut him off.
"Here you go, miss." The old man opened the cage and leashed the little dog.
"Thank you." I replied curtly.
"How much for him? Oh wait, it's a 'he', right?" Natsu asked.
"Indeed, he's a male and no, consider this as a gift for this beautiful young lady."
"Thank you very much, sir." I smiled and bowed in gratitude.
"Ah, my pleasure. Come again anytime!"
"We will!" Natsu and I replied in unison. We waved at the owner and drove back to my house.
"So, Luce? What would you name him?" Natsu asked while picking a few groceries.
"I don't know." I replied honestly.
"You can name him 'White'." He said excitedly.
"White?" I raised my brow.
"You know, 'cause he's white." Natsu replied in a 'duh' tone.
"I think I'll call you 'Plue'. How's that, lil' buddy?" I bent down and petted Plue while he barked enthusiastically, running inside the house when I opened the front door.
"Welcome to your new home, Plue."
