::  vi. | game of thrones ( part 2 )

It was after school and the Donovan siblings were at home in their rooms. Ashely laid on her bed with her headphones in while listening to music, but that didn't stop her from hearing her brother's bedroom door open and close. She hopped off her bed and opened her door. She made her way to the staircase and saw the front door close.

She knew exactly where he was going and so she made up her mind in that split second. She ran downstairs, slipped shoes on, and jogged to her brother before he pulled off.

She tapped her knuckle on the window, a sign telling him to roll it down. When it was all the way down, she rested her arm on it and leaned in. "You're going, aren't you?"

He shrugged, "What am I supposed to do on a Friday night?"

"Unlock the car. I'm coming too." She told him and he did.

She heard the lock open and so she got in. Chad shared a quick glance at her before heading off to Karen's cafe.

Chad parked the car on the side of the street but close enough so they wouldn't have to walk far. They both got out and walked into Karen's Cafe. The rest of the gang was already there, they all stood crowded around one of the tables. Ashley and Rachel's eyes connected as soon as she walked in. And no, the blonde was not hesitant to show her annoyance. She rolled her eyes at the sight of the redhead.

"Welcome, everyone." The dark-haired boy announced.

Everyone was staring at him. Some of them knew him and by the look on Brooke's face, she knew him all too well. Ashely raised an eyebrow towards him, trying to remember if she has seen him before the accident but no.

"You all have your envelopes so I'm assuming you've read the rules?" He questioned.

"Why are we here, Felix?" Nathan was growing impatient.

"It's game night. Girls verse guys. In that bowl right there—" He pointed to the middle of the table, "Are two cards. Ones a dare and the other is truth. The truths, everyone participates. The dare is just one player. Do it right, it'll lead you to your next dare or truth." He finished.

"Why us?" Ashely ask the question that everyone was thinking.

He shrugged, "Just random I guess."

The guys and girls split into two groups. Haley picked a card out of the bowl first. Once the card was in her hand, she opened her eyes. "Truth." She read the cover.

Chad picked up the only card that was left and it was obviously daring since those were the only two in the bowl. Both groups followed where the card guided them. The boys winded up at a pool and the girls were in a field somewhere but close enough to home.

Haley pulled the card out her back pocket, "Tell your deepest fears and darkest secrets."

"Great, I'm full of those." Peyton blurt out.

"I'll go first." She took a deep sigh, "Deepest fear, my parents will never love me for being me. They will always hold my sexuality against me. For darkest secret, I sold something once for a friend and it was bad."

"Um, i guess I could go." Haley spoke up, "My deepest fear would be losing the people I love the most and my darkest secret would be I cheated on a test once." She let out a slight chuckle to ease the tension.

While the girls were finishing their truths, the guys were focusing on the dare. They were just now walking into a building that had a pool. They were at a loss of what they were supposed to be doing or looking for, that's when Felix came into play once again.

"The next card is at the bottom of the pool in a container. Since you, Chad was the one to read the card—" He was interrupted.

"I go in." Chad finished for him.

Felix nodded, "Let's see how long you can hold your breath."

Chad took off his shirt and pants before holding his breath and jumping in. He wasn't very good at looking for this underwater so it took him a minute or so. Once he finally found it, he swam back up to the surface. He tossed the container and pushed himself out of the pool.

"That shit is cold." He was breathing heavily.

Lucas picked up the container, opening it up. He took out the small card and read it aloud. He was supposed to go to the mall and return some clothes. The girls had also gotten a dare, Brooke was supposed to meet Felix at some restaurant.

After the game night ended, they all met back at Karen's Cafe. Once again, they all crowded around the table. Felix counted the points then came to realize, it was a tie. Of course, like every game, there's a tiebreaker.

"Since there's a tie, did anyone get a kiss?" He looked amongst the group of teens, "Chad?"

Chad slightly pulled a series of photos out of his pocket looking down at it. It was a picture of him kissing a girl. He shoved it back in his pocket and shook his head, "No."

"Girls?" Felix turned to them.

They were about to say no but Ashely quickly leaned across the table, pulling Peyton by her shirt and kissing her. Yeah, that left everyone stunned.

"Looks like the girls win." Felix chuckled.

Everyone soon parted ways, calling it a night. While Ashely was walking to Chad's car, she looked behind her and saw Luke. She's been meaning to talk to him for a little bit now but she's just been so nervous. But tonight, she felt oddly confident.

She jogged up to him, then tapped his shoulder. He turned around and smiled at her, giving her a quick peck on the lips. Ashley gave him a small smile before taking his hand in her's. "We need to talk. Somewhere private?"

She walked home with him to his house and both sat on his bed with the door close. She knew he was a great guy and she was already hating herself for doing this but for once, she needed to focus on her and put herself first. So when those words finally left her lips, we need to break up, luke was crushed. She told him her reasoning but that didn't make her feel less guilty.

After the whole fire accident, then waking up from the coma-- she felt different. Nothing was the same, even when she was with Lucas. All she could hope now was that hopefully, he could understand and not be too mad at her.
