I HATE YOU
::  i. | fresh tree hill air

Rachel practically begged her parents to let her go back to Tree Hill and of course they caved, so they sent her back. Alone. That's right, her parents are somewhere else in the world but she didn't care. Realizing on the plane back to Tree Hill, North Carolina, she had no where to live. Her parents sold their house before moving, so she had to come up with a game plan.

Since it was the middle of the year, she decided to try and keep her return to a minimum. As soon as she got off the bus plane, she knew exactly where to go. She ended up taking a taxi to that destination. Once she arrived, she got out the car and made her way up to the door. She lifted up her fist and lightly knocked on the door, with a ring of the door bell- in case no one heard the door and just within seconds, the perky burnette opened it.

"Long time, no see, bitch." Rachel greeted Brooke.

"Oh my god! Rachel!" Brooke excitedly, pulled her into an embrace. Brooke pulled away, "Come in, come in!"

.

"So how did you end up back here?" Brooke questioned the redhead.

"Begged my parents and now I'm here. Simple as that." Rachel replied, as Brooke sat down across from her with a mug in hand.

"Pretty self explanatory." Brooke replied then taking a sip
of her tea.

Rachel rose from the chair, "I should probably get going. Gotta find a place to stay."

Brooke immediately rose the chair, "Stay here."

"Look, I don't wanna impose." Rachel protested.

"Trust me, you're not." Brooke waited for her answer. Rachel didn't give it verbally but she quickly nodded.

Ashely walked into the school building hand in hand with her boyfriend, Lucas scott. They've been dating for a couple of months now, it isn't serious but she really does like him. Ashely intertwined their fingers as they made their way to Haley's locker.

"Hey, hales." Lucas greeted the tutor girl.

Haley faced the two blondes as she closed her locker, "Hey, guys. Ash, are we still on for tonight?"

Ashely and Haley had planned a little girls night along with Peyton and Brooke. Ashely met Haley through her brother Chad, that's also how she met Lucas. Though she wasn't as close to them as her brother is but she managed to work a friendship in there.

"Duh. Peyton's place, right?" Ashley ask unlinking her hand from Lucas' then latching arms with Haley. Haley and Ashely are the type of friends that would totally forget that someone else was there, which just happened. Unknowingly, they began to walk the other direction leaving Lucas by Haley's locker. Lucas of course didn't mind, but he already missed ash.

Out of nowhere a blonde, muscular type of guy jumped on Lucas' back before falling off. Lucas abruptly turned around and it was Chad, his childhood best friend other than Haley.

"You could've broke my back." Lucas exclaimed.

"Makes sense, you're like a twig." Chad laughed at his own joke.

Lucas shook his head as began to walk to the gym to practice for the upcoming raven's game. As he made his way, Chad followed behind.

"You know I'm still warming up to you dating my sister right?" Chad began. "If you hurt her, you're gonna get a cracked skull." He warned him.

"Yeah, ok idiot." Lucas said with a chuckle as he opened the door to the gym.

Just before Chad followed in he saw Peyton Sawyer from the corner of his eye, he's had his eyes on her for a while now. He didn't know what it was, there was just something about her that made him want to know her so badly. She was the most beautiful, prettiest girl he's ever seen. Peyton per as usual doesn't acknowledge him, but that never stopped him.

He quickly whipped his head back forward before heading into the gym.

It was last period. Everyone was in their classes, waiting for that final bell to ring. Brooke was nowhere to be found at school cause she decided to ditch and spend the day with Rachel. But towards the end, they decided they would go to meet up with their friends.

As soon as the final bell rang, Ashely practically zoomed out the class. She doesn't necessarily hate school but she doesn't like it either. She made her way to her locker, then finding her way to her brother.

Chad stood on the curb as he waited for his sister. As Ashely was approaching him, she noticed him talking to nathan Scott. Ashely isn't too fond of Nathan but tolerates him because he's dating her friend.

"You know how we feel about him." Ashely blurt out.

"Yeah well, that's you and Lucas. You forget our dear friend Haley, sees the light in him." Chad used Haley to justify his talk with Nathan.

"And you forget that your friend hates him." Ashley has now crossed her arms over her chest, "You're fraternizing with the enemy."

Chad scoffed, "Just stay out of my business, ok?"

Just as Ashely was about shoot something fiery back, she ends up seeing Rachel in her sight. She didn't know how to react. Was she suppose to feel happy, upset, relieved? She didn't know. All she knew in that moment was that she didn't want to interact or see her again.

"I'll go get the car." And so she went on her way.

Chad stood there for a moment a little confused. Usually when him and his sister get into little disagreements like this she would always have something clever and sassy to say but she didn't which is why Chad was a bit lost until he turned around and saw her. The girl who broke his sister's heart.

"Talk about fraternizing with the enemy." He mumbled as he watched Brooke and Rachel walk together across the parking lot.
