You know how the regular fairy tales go. A prince goes to a tower, fights a dragon or some supposed powerful beast, wins, gets the princess and her hand in marriage? We all live happily ever after?

This is something different. This story won't go that route...not even close. We still get that happy ending though, I think.

In a far away kingdom that even I don't remember the name of...

A prince was just waking up as his maids came into his room.

"Good morning, Your Highness."

"Good morning..." His name was Prince Christopher Zimnic. He had blond hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. He was a skinny young man with not much weight or height.

The prince's maids got him up from his bed and ready for the day. He was led out of his chambers and down the hall. He was still sleepy, yawning as he found the Great Hall where the royal family dined. The doors were open for him as his presence was announced.

"Prince Christopher has arrived!" One of the doormen shouted and Prince Christopher went inside to see his family.

He saw his father, King Charles, his mother, Queen Cecilia, and bowed to them before his eyes moved to his older brother, Prince Callum.

"Morning, brother." Prince Callum spoke first.

"Brother, how are you?" Prince Christopher asked, smiling a bit as he approached the large table and sat down in his seat with his family.

"I could be better." Prince Callum honestly answered, looking down at his intertwined hands.

"Princess Chloe's sister, Princess Emily, has been abducted and taken to a tower. It is guarded by a dragon. A dangerous, fire-breathing dragon. It would be good for you to be looking to marry now so...we are leaving this to you. Go, find Princess Emily, bring her home, and you will marry her." King Charles said, making his youngest son's eyes widened.

Princess Chloe was Prince Callum's wife.

Prince Christopher quickly forgot about his food. "But father! Why on earth would you ask me to do such a thing? I'm weaker than a servant. I hold no bravery or honor. I am no adventure. I cannot even hold a sword correctly. I-I would be honored to marry Princess Emily but I am unable to accept such a quest." Prince Christopher told his family.

"Then if you won't. Who will save her? You must do something before someone else sees this opportunity. She is in danger." Queen Cecilia spoke for the first time and she wasn't happy at all. She barely said her opinion, and for it to be at that time, it made the rest of the table silence for a moment.

"My guard, Xander! He will do it!" Prince Christopher looked up, having a sudden realization. "Guards, go get Crown Knight Xander!" Christopher looked back to yell, and the guards who were standing at the door left immediately.

King Charles smiled, a bit proud of youngest son.
