Three

Immediately after the wedding, Jeonghan moved to Seungcheol's apartment which was quite close to campus. It was really huge and spacy with three rooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen and a swimming pool outside. Jeonghan tried not to show how belittled he actually felt marrying Seungcheol. His family were so rich. He began to wonder why Mr Choi wanted the alliance between both families especially when they were now bankrupt. They were only using his money to regain their esteem but what could they offer him?

Seungcheol showed Jeonghan around the house and he chose the room next to Seungcheol's. It was really big and nice.

"I'll be going out to have a drink with my friends. I have not seen them in forever. They probably think I'm dead" he said and chuckled.

Jeonghan didn't react. He just nodded. "Go on then.... "

Seungcheol started to leave when Jeonghan called him back. He looked back at him.

"It seems like there is no food at home. I need money to buy some groceries" his face turned red. "You just need to pay for all these until I get a part time job"

His husband's eyes twinkled as he pulled out his wallet from his jean pocket. He handed Jeonghan some cash.

"Here you go" He smirked. "Do get the job as quickly as possible"

Then he left. Jeonghan hissed "oh I will, I don't plan to be dependent on you forever you asshole"

He changed his clothes and left the house.

Choi Seungcheol drove to the venue where he and his friends had planned to meet. It was a famous and trendy restaurant located inside campus. He parked in front of the building and exited his car. For a reason, he felt different now. He was a married man. A married man at age 22. It was really sad but Jeonghan said he could do whatever ever he wanted.when he entered, he saw his friends crowded around a long table.

His short pink haired friend Jihoon spotted him first and waved at him. He smiled and walked towards them. There where five of them crowded there. An American Korean called Vernon, a very tall handsome one with a dashing smile called Mingyu, the quiet one Wonwoo, the China one called Jun.

"Hey guys!" He said sitting beside Jihoon.

"Where have you been Cheol? We were all worried about you" Mingyu said.

"I was just attending to some family matters"

Jun perked up "Did Jessica have another crises?'

Seungcheol shook his head "She's fine for now, but she's still not talking"

All of them nodded gravely each thinking their own things.

"Anyway, Seungcheol why did you stop me from coming to your house?"

Seungcheol scratched his head. "About that, guys I will appreciate it if you call me before visiting my house"

"What? Why? Are you hiding something?"  Woozi raised an eyebrow

Seungcheol knew that Woozi was the one who liked him more than a friend in their little group. They had even played a lot together but to Seungcheol, it was just sex but to Woozi, it was much more than that.

Seungcheol looked at him. "Nothing, I'm not hiding anything. it's just that my father has been spying on me lately. He warned me to watch the company I kept"

Mingyu scoffed. "Since when did you care what your father thought?"

Seungcheol thought of a lie. "Since he threatened to take away my inheritance"

"That's harsh" Wonwoo whispered.

"So you guys should be careful, at least for my sake" Seungcheol pleaded and they all murmured in agreement.

"Get some drinks!" Seungcheol said loudly.

Woozi stared at him. "But it's the middle of the day"

His friend smirked "Trust me, I need it"

Woozi couldn't help feeling that Seungcheol was hiding something. He was acting really strange and different from his  usual self which meant that he was telling a big fat lie.

Jeonghan headed to the grocery store. It seemed that Seungcheol had given him more than enough money because he bought quite a lot and there was still enough change. He left the store with the grocery and just as he was about to hail a cab, he spotted Joshua at the other side of the road walking with one of their friends, the ever smiling Seokmin. They were talking about something. He was thankful that he hadn't seen him yet because he was embarrassed to meet him. He quietly hailed a cab and jumped in quickly hiding his face as he did so. The cab dropped him home and he got out and entered the kitchen. He breathed deeply and began to empty out what he had brought. He thought of making kimchi stew with rice and lettuce. He started cooking when he received a text message.

I saw you Jeonghan, why were you hiding from me? We have to see and talk. Meet me at my lodge by 5.pm tomorrow

The text message ended. Jeonghan felt terrible. What was he going to tell Joshua? He possibly couldn't tell him that he married Choi Seungcheol his worst enemy over the weekend because his parents company went bankrupt and only Seungcheol's father could help.

It was pathetic. Joshua would be devastated. He didn't deserve that break up. He couldn't tell him the truth. But then, he remembered the agreement they signed. They could both still have other relationships. Who knows, that jerk may be in the arms of another man or woman right now, having the time of his life. Joshua didn't need to know that he was married. He would continue to be with him. Hopefully, he and Seungcheol would willingly divorce before the year runs out after they discover that they really can't stand each other. It was a stupid thing to do but jeonghan wasn't ready to let go of Joshua just yet. He happily began to whistle as he cooked.

The day gradually turned into night. Jeonghan looked at the time. It was past ten and his husband wasn't back yet from drinking with his friends. He shook his head when he discovered he had actually been waiting for him. He went to his room and slept off removing his attention from Seungcheol.

*****

The morning rays hit  eyes. He felt himself lying on soft cotton. Something felt heavy in his chest. He looked down and saw long thick blonde hair resting on his chest. Did he bring a woman home last night? He peered closer to see who it was. His breath hung when he saw Jeonghan. He shouted at the top of his lungs. Jeonghan stirred quite disturbed by the yelling. He looked up and saw Seungcheol sitting on top of the bed staring at him. He too yelled and they both jumped out of the bed.

"What are you doing in my room?" Jeonghan sneered.

Seungcheol looked around "What am I doing here?"

Jeonghan hugged himself tight. "Where you trying to take advantage of me last night?"

Jeonghan perceived the faint smell of alcohol in the air.

"Ugh, you are drunk!"

Seungcheol groaned touching his head. "I think I have a hangover"

"Get out! Get out, I'll make you some hangover soup"

"No, make me some ramen"

Jeonghan scoffed "Do I look like your personal maid?"

"I'm sorry. This is the last time, my head hurts really bad "

"It better be" Jeonghan said and Seungcheol dragged his feet out of the room. Jeonghan sighed and went to the kitchen and prepared the ramen. Seungcheol came out to the bathroom. His hair was wet. He wore a white shirt with Jean shorts. He smelled really nice. It was a lilac scent.

"Make sure you stop drinking. It seems like I'm going to include that in our agreement"

Seungcheol nodded and dug into the food. It seemed that he was hungry. He ate like a small child, oil, rounding his mouth.

Jeonghan remembered something and went to his room. He brought out the change from yesterday and returned to the kitchen. He handed the money to Seungcheol. He looked perplexed.

"What is that? "

"It's the remaining money from yesterday"

Seungcheol seemed amused.

"I'm going to look for a job today. So you won't have to pay for everything in the house"

Seeing as Seungcheol wasn't taking it, he dropped it on the table.

"you really are stubborn Jeonghan" Seungcheol muttered.

"I just don't like being in debt. Besides I'm in this marriage for the sake of my parents and not to receive anything from you" Jeonghan said.

Seungcheol shook his head and stood up then dumped his plate in the dishwasher.

Jeonghan took a deep breath.

"Do your chores separately. I believe it's part of our agreement"

Seungcheol sighed. He wasn't used to doing his own dishes or doing anything by himself. He had a maid who did everything for him before Jeonghan came. He had to fire the maid so that it would only be them. He washed the dishes awkwardly while Jeonghan watched him.

"What are you doing?" He said surprised. Seungcheol didn't respond. Jeonghan sighed and took the sponge from his hand and started showing him how to wash the plate. Seungcheol found himself not concentrating on what he was saying. He was actually focusing on Jeonghan's face. His skin was fair and his lips pure pink and small. The way his hair fell over his shoulder was really innocent, yet at the same time sexy. He never realized it before but Jeonghan was really handsome, well more beautiful than handsome. His face was angelic.

"Did you hear me? Seungcheol!"

His face reddened when he saw that Jeonghan was looking at him curiously. He hoped he didn't notice him staring at him like that.

Jeonghan shook his head "The heir of Pledis company should know how to wash a plate at least"

He turned round. "Let me take a bath and get to school" he began to walk towards his bedroom.

"Jeonghan!" He called out. The blonde stopped and looked at him.

"Have you told your boyfriend that you are married"

Jeonghan smirked. "Why should I? Are we really married?"

Seungcheol nodded and the blonde left. Seungcheol looked at the money on the table and grinned as he poured a cup of coffee and sipped.

Jeonghan left the house as soon as he finished everything. The first thing he was going to do was get a job. He needed a job that would take him away from the house. Night shifts would be fine. It would suit him well. The first two shops he visited already had full workers. It was the third and final shop that gave him the job. It was a small coffee shop that paid hourly.  The shift was from five till eleven in the night. It was a bit close to his house so it suited him perfectly.

After job hunting, he decided to go to Joshua's house. It was a small bungalow with two separate apartments. Jeonghan knocked on one and it opened. Joshua stared at him.

"I thought you wouldn't come" he said gravely and Jeonghan lowered his eyes. Joshua widened the door so he entered.

"Talk to me Jeonghan" He whispered.

Jeonghan sat down on the small bed. The apartment was a bit cramped. It was filled with books but it was neat and smelled nice, typical Joshua.

"I'm sorry Joshua"

"You broke up with me through the phone and i don't even know why" Joshua stood looking down at him.

"I'm really sorry..."

"Stop apologizing, tell me what's going on"

"My family went bankrupt" He blurted out and Joshua sat beside him.

"We are poor now Joshua"

Jeonghan felt terrible as tears filled his eyes.

"Is that the reason why you've been avoiding me?"

"I don't deserve you Joshua. I've done a lot of things"

"Babe..." He held his face in his hands. "I'm here for you, this is the time you need me most. I understand that you are in the terrible situation. Let me be here to comfort you, don't push me aside okay?"

Jeonghan understood why he never wanted to let go of Joshua. He was so good and kind.

He embraced him tightly.

"Are we okay now?"

Jeonghan nodded.

"Are you still mine?"

"I'm still yours" Jeonghan whispered and Joshua kissed him. As soon as their lips met, Jeonghan's conscience panged him.

You are married. It might not be a marriage to you, but it's still a marriage. This is wrong!

Jeonghan pulled away. "It's getting late Joshua." he muttered.

"Why don't you spend the night?"

Jeonghan shook his head "Some other time okay? "

He gave him a quick kiss on the lips and left the cramped room. Joshua looked at the direction his boyfriend had gone. He was acting differently. It was weird. Jeonghan was definitely hiding something from him and he was going to find out what it was.
