Chapter Nine
"Hey, where's my sandwich?" he poked my cheek. I ignored Grey and continued on walking. Detention just finished and I'm currently walking home with Grey. Gray parted ways with us, even though we're on the same route. That guy is weird, but I got used to it.
"Stop ignoring me" I heard Grey murmur and pouted. I chuckled and pinched his cheeks. I know I can't resist him. "Fine. I'll make you one at your place" I said. His face lit up and nodded. Huh, I would never understand his sandwich obsession.
While on our way, I saw a few people holding their phones, glaring at me. I raised my eyebrow at the girl that's one of them. She gave me a death glare and raised her middle finger. I saw her mouthed a curse and instantly, shivers went throughout my body. She looked like she wants to kill me.
I tugged Grey's shirt, who was currently talking to the phone, and thankfully, he didn't ignore me. "What?" he groaned. I let out a whimper and pointed at the direction of the girl. When we looked, she wasn't there anymore. Grey's eyebrows pulled together and let out a frustrated sigh.
"Look, I didn't eat the whole day, and I really, really want to eat. So if you can just shut up and follow me to my place, that would be great" he said bitterly. He got back to the call and continued on walking.
I faced the ground to hide my annoyance. One moment, he's hyper and the next one, he's not. Ugh, men and their mood swings annoy me.
After a few more miles, we reached his apartment. He opened the door and it revealed Gray, watching TV. I let out a sigh of relief. Good thing, he's here early or else, the awkwardness is gonna spread. I entered and waved him 'hello'. He gave a smile back and went back on watching television.
Grey went straight to his room, still has the grumpy face. "What happened to him?" Gray asked when his brother closed the door shut. I shrugged and went to the kitchen to make the sandwitch, as promised. I fixed my hair into a neat ponytail. I got the ingredients from the top cabinet and started to make the sandwitch.
I put tomato, cheese, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, and cucumber on the bread. As far as I can remember, that's how Grey liked it. I stacked it all up and smiled at what I have made. I put on a plate and cleaned the mess I made at the table.
I went out of the kitchen with the sandwitch, with a smile on my face. "Grey, here's your sand-"
For today's trending news,
Teen actor Ross Ellis's picture kissing a mysterious girl has become viral.
The photo was posted a few days ago and had been the major talk of the country.

Ellis remained silent about the topic for the meantime.
The mysterious girl was rumored to be Ellis' long time secret girlfriend but-
OH GOD, ROSS IS A TEEN ACTOR?
AND I'M HIS RUMORED GIRLFRIEND?
I didn't get to hear the rest when Gray closed the TV. That's when I noticed Grey was there too, watching. They both stood up and slowly walked towards me. "Talk" they said in union, trapping me at a wall. "Now"
I gulped. I looked at the window and thought of something. "Uh-lo-look, it's getting da-dark. I need to g-go ho-home" I stammer, avoiding the subject. I attempted to get away but failed. "Oh, you're not getting away this time" Grey said.
I just gave up and sighed. "Guess I have no choice but to tell you guys, right?" They looked at each other and nodded. "Fine, but I'm not making the sandwitch again" I lastly said before telling the whole story.

"Woah, that's.. complicated" Gray was the first one to speak. Grey was still full of shock. "Tell me about it" I murmur and drank the water next to me. "Why didn't you tell us?" Gray asked like a kid. I chuckled and pinched his nose. "Well, you guys aren't answering my calls"
He nodded slowly and rubbed his neck. "About that.." he paused. "We-I mean, Grey dropped our phones at a lake when we were on a vacation so we didn't get-" he was cut off by a smack on his head. "Hey, that was an accident" Grey blurted. I laughed at the both of them. They will never change, and I would like it that way.
Out of nowhere, we heard my phone ring, causing us to stop. I looked at the brothers and they gave me a weak smile. I got my phone in my backpack and saw who was calling.
"Duckie?" Grey asked. "Well, that's a stupid name" they both chuckled and high-fived. I gave them a glare, causing them to stop laughing. "I have to take this call" I stood up. "Excuse me" I went outside the apartment and accepted the call.
"What do you want, Andrew?" I started. He didn't answer, and all I hear is heavy breathing. Huh, rude as ever. "Andrew" I said sternly. He still didn't answer. My eyebrows pull together and I bit my lip to prevent myself from shouting at him.
"If you're not going to talk, you shouldn't have called me. You're wasting my time. Bye, An-" I was about to hung up when I heard something from the phone.
"Explain" he shortly said. "Explain what?" I asked back, raising my eyebrow. "Oh, you know what I mean" his voice is suddenly getting scary. "You being Ross Ellis' girlfriend" I froze, speechless. Oh no. I gripped my phone hard.
"Andrew-" he cuts me off. "You know what? Saying it in person would be great " I didn't answer him afterwards. He said the address and luckily, I'm familiar with it. "Don't bring anyone" he said. I nodded even though he can't see me. Right when I was to hung up, I heard him speak. "Goodbye, Mousie"
He hung up and here I am, leaving me a mess. Why is he suddenly curious about my life? Psh, bastard. I looked at my phone one more time and turned around.
My eyes met the brothers, peeking at the door. "Is she done talking?" I heard Gray, whisper to his brother. "I don't kno-here she comes. Abort! Abort!" Grey shouted, causing them to fall to the floor. I laughed and walked towards them. I helped them stand up. "Come on, you two" I said. "Let's go inside"
