I Hate Everything About You {Pokemon Fan-Fic}

Alright, so basically this is HG/SS, but with some things from FR/LG, so please don't argue with me if something isn't right or that didn't happen in the game. I know, and this is my story, so I can do whatever I feel like to the story. And, this is mainly PG-13 for language...otherwise it shouldn't be too bad...I suck at rating so...it's just to be safe...

----------------------------

"Umber, the boss would like to see you at this time." I looked up to the intercom in my small, empty room. I walked over to the button and pressed it.

"Tell him I'm on my way." I said, and proceeded out of my room, to Giovanni's office. His Persian was curled up on a small bed in the corner of the room, one of its eye's opening as I walked in.

"You wished to see me?" I said, rather quietly. It was rare for the boss to want to see me, or anyone else working for him around my age.

He looked up from the papers on his desk. "Yes, I have an important mission for you." He started. "You know my son right?"

"I've heard rumors, but I wasn't sure if they were true..."

"Well, sightings of him have been reported from grunts, and turns out he already has the police tracking him down. I'd like you to find him, make sure that the police don't get him, and if possible, bring him to me."

"Yes sir." I bowed in respect before heading out.

"Oh, and one more thing." He said as I was about to exit. I stopped, but didn't turn around. "Don't let him know who you really are, or what you're doing. He should be in Johto currently."

"Yes sir." I repeated, and walked out.

~~~
I walked out of the little game corner in Celadon City, and looked around. I didn't have any Pokemon, so I couldn't battle any wild ones. I didn't know how I'd even find this kid in the Johto region, and I'm just standing here unable to get there! I realize I shouldn't question Giovanni, but still, couldn't he provide me with a Pokemon or let alone transportation? I guess for now I could get a Pokemon from the ladies who give out prizes.
So I went to do exactly that. I entered, and they knew that I was apart of Team Rocket so they dropped what they were doing. Team Rocket did own the game corner so they couldn't really argue with me anyways.
"There are Pokemon here as prizes, right?" I asked, walking up to the corner.
The one to the left nodded. "I've got some right here..." She said, pulling out a few Pokemon. An Abra, Clefairy, Dratini, Scyther, and Porygon. I decided to go with the Dratini, since dragon types were pretty strong. I pulled one of my innocent smiles, said thanks as sweetly as possible, and took my leave.
I let the little Pokemon out of it's pokeball, and it looked at its surroundings. Once it laid its eyes on me, it tilted its head and let out a small squeak. I sighed, beginning to wonder why I picked this creature...
I decided to let it stay out of it's pokeball, and began to walk to Saffron City. I knew they had the magnet train there, and I still have a pass from living in Goldenrod. Then hopefully, that so called Silver would be around the area. I sort of wish Giovanni would have given me more clues about this. Of course there are probably other grunts there that know of his sightings.
I headed east and out of the city. I knew Saffron was close, like, probably a 10 minute walk. Pretty convinent for me at the moment.
Dratini followed besides me, but kept looking around and getting distracted.
"Hurry up will you?" I mumbled. The Dratini looked up at me with its big eyes, and wrapped itself around me. Hugging I guess? I'm starting to think that I should have gotten the Scyther...it would be more intimidating and less...cuddly.
I finally made it to the train. I walked in, flashed my pass, and continued down the stairs to the train. Not many people were there, which was nice. I wasn't a fan of crowded trains. I wasn't a fan of crowds in the first place, ironic since I grew up in Goldenrod.
Once the train arrived, me and Dratini boarded, and headed for Goldenrod.
~~~

Goldenrod, where I once lived and where I was when I was a little girl. I glanced over to the house where I used to live. It looked better than it did last time I saw it...

"Mommy! Daddy!" I screamed, holding Totodile close to me. It was getting hotter and hotter, and the flames were spreading quickly. Totodile tried putting out as much as the flames as possible, but the water type was too small; and couldn't get rid of the flames. And I still couldn't find them.

I felt a pair of arms grab me, and take me out of the burning house. I closed my eyes in fear, screaming and kicking.

I was outside, but still being taken away. I watched the burning house collapse in the distance, and knew that they were goners.

I sighed and walked to the opposite side of the city, so I couldn't see the last memory of this place. Dratini could probably sense my hurt, and nudged my arm with its head. I sighed and looked down at it again. Dratini only knew me for not even an hour, but this thing is already attatched to me like I've known it for years. I guess thats their nature I suppose. Well it'll make it easier than having some stupid, stubborn Pokemon.

"You know, you remind me of one of my old friends...I haven't seen him in years. Not since I was little and I lived here." I said to Dratini. "Except he was a Pokemon, not a human. A little Totodile." I smiled at my memories with him. But once I joined Team Rocket, Totodile refused to join me, and just...left. I was heartbroken, and didn't want to get another Pokemon. But this is different, I need Dratini, for safety. "You wouldn't leave me, right?"

"Dra!" It squeaked, and shook its head no. I nudged my arm again, and I patted its head slightly.

"Thanks..." I said.

Anyways, focusing on the mission again, I looked around a bit. I found a Rocket grunt though, staring at the Radio Tower. I walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Huh, what do y-" He turned around and faced me, and I noticed he was someone that normally stayed at the hideout. I guess he was sent here for something. "Oh, its you. What do you want?"

"You know boss's son, right? Seen him anywhere?" I asked.

"He was here a few days ago, but he left. Went north to the next city." He said, pointing north.

I nodded in understanding, and started leaving Goldenrod. I'm so close, and I don't want to have wait, just to find that he's weeks away.

"Well come on Dratini, we're almost there...I think." I said, exiting the gate that led to Route 35.

It was straight forward. A simple route, with simple trainers. From what I know, I go forward, to the National Park, then right I believe to Violet City. If not Violet City, then north to Ecurteak City. By walking, (which is my only way to get there...) it would take about 4 hours...

"Dra, dra!" Dratini called, snapping me out of my little daydream, I guess that's what you would call it. If not, then a little plan for the day.

"What?" I asked. Dratini pointed to a trainer, walking with a Quilava. "So what?"

Dratini walked--er, slithered, over to the trainer. "Hey, Dratini!" I followed Dratini over to the trainer, who already noticed the little animal.

"Hey, is this your Dratini?" He asked. His eyes were colored gold, which lit up when he noticed me.

"Yeah...sorry about him bothering you. Now if you don't mind we'll be on our way." I said, starting to walk away, expecting Dratini to follow. When I turned around, and saw this kid petting him, I kinda felt hurt. Didn't Dratini already say that he wouldn't leave me? I walked back over to Dratini and the boy.

"I think Dratini wants a battle with my Quilava." The kid said. I looked at Dratini, who had a little spark of determination in his eyes.

"But, Dratini never battled with me before..."

"Then this can be a little practice battle, what do you think?"

I sighed. "Fine, whatever." I was just a little happy that he didn't want to ditch me.

"And if I win, what about you give me your number?" He said, with a flirty tone.

I flicked his forehead, and walked to one side of our pretend battle field. He rubbed his forehead as he walked to his side. Our Pokemon took their positions, ready for battle.

"You can have the first move...uh...whatever your name is!" Wow, how kind. Note my sarcasm...

I opened my mouth to command something, but then realized I had no idea what moves it knew. "Um, slam!" I said, a bit unsure. Dratini moved forward, ramming itself into Quilava.

"Quilava, flame wheel!" Quilava started running forward, then curled inself into a fireball. It hit Dratini hard, but he was still standing.

"Dragon..rage!" I was once again, unsure, and I probably sounded like a wimp or something. Dratini powered up, and launched a purple/blue-ish beam at Quilava.

"Dodge, then use ember." Quilava jumped up avoiding the attack (which ended up hitting an innocent wild Pokemon), and shot embers out of its mouth. It was probably a critical hit, considering that it was from the air.

"Dragon rage again!" I yelled, more confident. Dratini hit Quilava this time, since it was still in the air. Quilava was thrown back, but still managed to land on its feet.

"Ember!"

"Dragon rage!"

Both attacks were fired at the same time, hit at the same time, and caused a little explosion. The field was covered in smoke, and I couldn't see Dratini, Quilava, or the trainer.

"Quilava, go around the field and use flame wheel!" Well shit, I couldn't see what was happening, or where Dratini was.

You could hear the sound of Quilava hitting something, and then Dratini was seen, flying out of the smoke cloud and landing with a thud in front of me. I returned Dratini to his pokeball.

The cloud disappeared, and I could see the trainer patting his Quilava's head with a smile. He returned Quilava, and walked over to me.

"Not bad for your first try." He said, still smiling.

"Whatever." I mumbled. I was pretty competitive, and I wasn't gonna lie about that.

"So where's that number you promised me?" He asked, being flirty again.

I flicked him in the forehead again. "Did I ever agree to giving it to you?"

"No, but still..." He rubbed his forehead, and his eyes looked down for a split second and back up.

"What are you looking at?" I asked. He better not be a pervert staring me down like that...

"Ohh nothing..." He said. He then decided it would be a smart idea to snatch my Pokegear off my belt, and begin running away with it.

"Hey! You can't just take my Pokegear!!" I yelled, chasing after him. "Get your ass back here!!" I continued to yell. I got a few stares from trainers, but oh well, I don't really care at this point.

He stopped suddenly and turned around. I accidently bumped into him with the sudden halt, and we both fell. What made it worse was that it was an uncomfortable position...fortunately, he broke my fall. Unfortunately, he was a bit of a...well you'll see.

"Oh, and I thought you didn't like me like that." He said with a smirk. I blushed and immediately got off of him, embarrassed by that. Did he really have to bring that up? He stood up, brushing some of the dirt off of him.

"Shut up, and don't tell anyone about that." I glared.

"Fine, fine."  He said, holding my Pokegear out for me. I snatched it from him, and flicked him in the forehead again (for the third time if you weren't counting).

"So your name is Gold?" I asked, going through my contacts.

"Yeah, remember it; pretty soon I'll be the Champion of Johto, and I'll be the strongest trainer the world has ever known." Gold said, puffing his chest out a little. "And you're Umber? Isn't that a boy name?"

"Isn't Gold a girly name?"

For once, I think he actually stayed silent for at least 5 seconds. "Uh, well...you see..um."

"Yeah, I do see, Goldie." I said, rolling my eyes. "Anyways, I have places to be." I began walking away, continuing to the National Park.

"Wait! Let me at least heal your Pokemon for you." Gold said, running in front of me. I decided not to argue, and released Dratini from his pokeball. The creature was still fainted, and covered in brusies. Gold kneeled down, setting his bag down and going through the contents. He pulled out a revive, and a few berries. First, he popped the revive in Dratini's mouth, and his big, purple eyes fluttered open. He shook itself awake a little, and Gold held a berry out to it. Dratini sniffed it, and ate it in one bite.

"Here, you feed Dratini one." Gold said, holding a berry out for me. I hesitated, and took the berry. I kneeled down and held the berry out for my Pokemon. He smiled at me and ate it, nuzzling its head into my hand.

"So where are you heading?" Gold asked.

"Ecurteak City." I replied.

"Really? Me too, maybe we can travel tog-"

"No." I interrupted.

"But why? I could help you train Dratini!"

"Because you're annoying and I prefer to be alone."

"Please?"

"No."

"Pretty please?"

"I don't give a damn about how pretty those pleases are; its still a no." Gold crossed his arms and pouted. "Well like I said, I gotta go." I said, standing up again, beginning to walk to the National Park, again, Dratini following behind me.
