I Hate Everything About You Ch. 17
"Oh dear, what a pity." Ariana laughed. "Seems to me that you're at a disadvantage."
"You against the four of us? You must be pretty stupid if you think you can win." Petrel said.
It was just me and my one Dragonite against Archer's Houndoom, Ariana's Arbok, Petrel's Weezing, and Proton's Golbat. And no doubt about it, they had more with them. If Dragonite goes down, I'm finished.
"I don't think I can win," I started. "I know I can win."
"That's some great determination you got there, but it won't be enough to take us down!" Archer smirked. "Houndoom, dark pulse!"
"Dragonite, counter with dragon pulse!" The two attacks collided, making a small explosion.
"Weezing, smokescreen!" The Weezing coughed out black smoke, filling the whole room.
"Arbok, poison sting!"
"Dragonite, brace yourself!" We couldn't guess where the attack would come from, so it would be the best we could do. It came from directly in front of us, shooting us with needles of poison. Me and Dragonite both got hit by the attack, but endured it anyways. "Ok, now use...!" I stopped when we got hit by another poison sting attack from behind. But there was no way they could move that fast!
I jumped on Dragonite's back, signalling it to fly up. "Blow the smoke away with your wings!" The dragon Pokemon did as told, clearing the room. Ariana sent out the rest of her snakes, and now they were at every corner of the room. That explained the extra attack from behind.
"Now, now, we can't have you flying around, Golbat and Zubats, can you do something about that for us?" Proton smirked. His team of bats flew over quickly, baring their fangs.
"Use dragon claw once they get close!" Dragonite's claws glowed red and blue, showing that it was ready to attack. Dragonite smashed them all down, or at least we thought all of them. One sneaked around behind us, biting through one of the orange Pokemon's wings. More joined, making holes in the wings. My Pokemon couldn't fly anymore, and we crashed down to the floor.
"There we go, much better." They laughed.
I growled. "Dragon pulse and knock them all away!" The attack hit the groups of bats, most of them fainting or falling back.
"Weezing, smokescreen again!"
"Dragonite, blow it away again!" Dragonite flapped its wings, but slowly and poorly. There were too many holes in his wings for him to do anything. The smoke remained in the room, and we couldn't see anything.
"Arbok, poison sting again!" We got hit by all different directions, and Dragonite couldn't fly to dodge.
"Dragon pulse!" He aimed straight forward, right where the admins should have been. The sound of the attack hitting something was hurt, so I guess I must have hit one of them.
Above I could hear screeching. Looking up, I saw Golbats diving down, pointing their sharpened wings at us.
"Dragonite, hyper beam!" A bright orange light glowed in his mouth, blasting it at the group of bats. They all fell around us; fainted.
"Way to go, Dragonite..." I coughed. Dragonite seemed weaker before, but could it have been from the hyper beam? I felt tired too though.
"Sounds like the poison gas reached you two!" Petrel laughed."I ordered Weezing to mix poison gas in with the smoke, so before you two know it, you two will be at our feet!" His voice sounded like it was coming from the right.
"What about you guys? You'd get caught up in your own trap!" I yelled between coughs.
"We're not in the smokescreen so we're safe from the posion." I heard one answer from another side of the room. "But your Dragonite can't move fast without its wings, so its stuck in that spot, and unless if you leave it there helplessly, then you two are going to suffocate from the poison."
"Outside of the smokescreen..." I pulled out Dragonite's Pokeball, and returned him. I ran quickly to my right, to where I heard Petrel's voice. I ran out of the smoke, finding Petrel and Ariana. I grabbed Dragonite's Pokeball again, ready to release him.
"Seems that you fell for the trap!" Petrel smirked, as I was attacked by Ariana's Arbok. It wrapped itself around me, keeping me from moving and letting out my Pokemon. It bared its deadly fangs at my neck.
"Make any kind of attempt to escape or attack and my Arbok will not hesitate to kill you." Ariana said. "It would be best for you to just give up now while you have the chance."
"If only if you stayed on our side, then you'd know how great victory feels."
"Who says you won? Remember, I'm not the only one here, and besides, what's your great plan anyways?" I said. "Just to get Team Rocket's name in the news to call out to its leader? It wont work, you know..."
"We know what we're doing, and that's not our only plan." Petrel said. "Actually...why don't you let out your Dragonite?" The Arbok released its hold on me, but still remained close to me so it would be able to attack.
Hesitating, I put my hand on Dragonite's Pokeball. I knew they were tricking me, but I'm defenseless without my Pokemon...
"Come on, let him out and fight us." They taunted.
I sighed, letting go of the Pokeball. I know they'll pull a dirty trick, and I'm not going to fall for it.
"What a stupid girl." Ariana said. "Oh well, it'll be easy to take her out without a Pokemon! Arbok, poison fang!" The snake Pokemon hissed before biting down on my leg. It swung me around a bit by the leg, throwing me down to the ground. I groaned in pain, but I refused to show them any signs of weakness. I stood up, showing I'm not giving up.
"You're a stubborn one...Weezing, tackle!" The Weezing rammed into me, making me fall a few feet back. I was surrounded by the poison smoke again, so I held my breath the best I could. But you try holding your breath after getting the shit beaten out of you; its not that easy to do.
"Togetaro, blow the smoke away!"
"Weavile, blizzard!"
Gusts of wind came, blowing the smokescreen and poison gas away, which powered up the incoming blizzard attack. Sitting up, I looked back over to the doors where Silver and Gold were.
Gold ran over, kneeling besides me. "You ok?"
"I could be better..." I mumbled.
"You should head back to the Pokemon Center and rest up...Crys called me and said she's on her way up so--"
"No! I'm not leaving now!"
"But look at you! Bleeding all over and you're a mess...where's Dragonite?"
"They've got a plan, but I don't know what it is. They wanted me to take out Dragonite...I wasn't gonna fall for one of their dirty tricks so quickly."
"So it involves having Pokemon out of their Pokeballs?" Silver asked, walking over. Weavile and Togetaro (Togekiss) were still battling, barely breaking a sweat.
"Well I don't know exactly but they were taunting me to take my Pokemon out so it would make sense..." I said, looking up at him. He wasn't looking down at me, and his eyes were still cloudy and pupil-less. "Silver! You're suppose to be getting treated in the Pokemon Center, what are you doing here??"
"I wasn't gonna lay back and let Team Rocket attack Saffron while you and everyone else were fighting!" He yelled.
"You're blind and at a disadvantage! You need to get out of here!"
"I made it all the way up here by myself, I'm sure I'm able to fight with Gold and Crystal, sight or no sight!"
"Will you two stop fighting for once?! Sheesh you two are like an old married couple!" Gold shouted, getting into our little conversation.
Me and Silver both yelled at Gold, "I would never marry him!" and "I would never marry her!", at the same time.
The golden eyed trainer held in a laugh. "This isn't the time to be making jokes, we've got Rockets to stop!" He said as he stood up, puffing his chest out.
Silver rolled his colorless eyes. "Never thought I'd hear you of all people say that."
"So you three have finally gotten your acts together? Finally..." Ariana said. "Arbok, poison sting!"
"Weavile, counter with icy wind!" The poison needles froze, falling to the ground before making contact with us.
"Houndoom, flamethrower!" Archer commanded his Pokemon.
I threw out Dragonite's Pokeball, releasing it infront of the Houndoom. "Dragon claw!" Dragonite slashed at Houndoom, causing the fire Pokemon to fall back.
"Golbat, gust!"
"Weezing, poison gas!" Petrel and Proton ordered their Pokemon. Golbat quickly flapped its wings while Weezing blew out poisonious gas, thus making it blow towards us. Dragonite's wings were still useless.
Silver sent out his Honchkrow, and Kingdra. "Honchkrow, air cutter, Kingdra, twister!"
"Togetaro, gust!"
All of Gold's and Silver's attacks blew back the poison gas, right back in Proton's and Petrel's faces. Weezing took the gas back into its body to protect its trainer.
"We're at a disadvantage now, Archer! We should use our secret weapon!"
"What secret weapon?" I asked...as if I'd actually get an answer.
"I would be more than happy to tell you!" Archer laughed. "If you were still one of us."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I heard it before! 'You should have stayed with us!' 'You're so weak now!'" I yelled, mocking them.
"What a brat..." Ariana huffed. "Archer, just do it now."
He nodded, pulling a small remote out of his pocket. It was a simple little remote, with an on/off switch. After painfully waiting for what was to come, he finally switched it to on.
Silence.
"Ha! Whatever your stupid weapon was suppose to do, it didn't work! So just give in now and we'll be on our merry way." Gold said.
"Aw, how cute; you actually thought we failed." Archer chuckled. "Why don't we have another battle to find out the outcome?"
"Fine then, Togetaro, air cutter!" Gold commanded. But his Togekiss ignored him. "Togetaro? Hello? Air cutter!" Still nothing.
"Weavile, ice shard!" Silver tried to tell Weavile, but only to be ignored too.
"Dragonite, dragon pulse!" I called out. Dragonite did nothing as well. "What the hell did you do to our Pokemon?!"
"The machine in the basement lets out a high pitched sound that only Pokemon can hear. It uses the same kind of technology that we used at the Lake of Rage to evolve wild Magikarp, but this one allows us to control your Pokemon. Any Pokemon you send out against us is ours." Archer explained. "Now lets see if this works; Weavile, thief!" Silver's Weavile turned on us, using thief to steal our Pokeballs, even the ones with our Pokemon still in (well Gold's and Silver's Pokemon...considering I only have Dragonite. But I assume you could already guess...).
"Now that you're defenseless...Dragonite, hyper beam!" Petrel commanded my Pokemon.
Dragonite turned with an evil glare in its eyes. It opened its mouth, powering up its strongest attack.
"Dragonite, don't listen to him! I'm your trainer! Please don't listen to them!" I called out, holding on to the little bit of hope that I had left.
The attack was fired, hitting all three of us. I could only see our Pokemon's evil stares before I blacked out.
