Maple then slips as she falls down the mountain with Syrup.

Sonic jumps down and runs down the mountain. Sonic jumps down and catches Maple and Syrup as Maple was devouring the rocks. Sonic lands on the ground as he puts them down.

Maple looks at the tree as it was damaged.

They see a metal coin as Maple picks it up.

The ball shears out as a armored robot comes out.

???: So you don't remember, huh? I am the Metarex's leader... Dark Oak!

Sonic: W-What...? Dark Oak?
Maple: Huh?
Sonic: How are you here? I thought we'd finished you?
Dark Oak: Hehe. You see Sonic, you didn't finished me. The developers of this game wants me to be this new boss here. And we had a deal. They revive me, they told me that you're here.
Sonic: The developers?
Maple: Huh?
Dark Oak: Hmm? Who's that? Little girl? You better not interfere, or I'll consume you.
Maple: You're the one who will be consumed!
Sonic: Maple... Alright, Maple, let's finish him!

Dark Oak comes and punches rapidly at Sonic, but Maple uses her shield to protect Sonic.

Dark Oak uses the chains to wrap up Maple.

Sonic runs up and goes for a punch, but Dark Oak punches him as he was blown back.

Maple covers herself with wool as she was protected.
Dark Oak: What?
Sonic run towards Dark Oak and kicks him as he gets pushed back.

Sonic goes inside the wooly as he was protected.

Maple: You're not so scary if we're in here!
Dark Oak keeps punching the wool as it wasn't working, until Sonic and Maple's head pops up.
Maple: You're up, Syrup! Awaken and Megamorph!
Syrup: Turtle!
Syrup awakes as he Megamorphs.
Maple: Oh, yeah! Syrup, let's try the new skill of yours! Mother Nature!
Syrup: Turtle!
Syrup brings out roots from the ground as it ties up his arms.
Dark Oak: What?!
Sonic: Alright!
Maple: Next up, gimme a Spirt Cannon!
Sonic: I'm going in!
Syrup fires up a big cannon as Sonic turns into a ball and goes in.
Sonic: Lets go!
Sonic goes into the beam as he hits Dark Oak.
Dark Oak: Grrahh!
Maple: That's it, Syrup, Sonic! Give em hell!
Dark Oak: C-Curse you! Unforgivable!
Maple: What?
Sonic: No way?!
Dark Oak transforms as he was a monster.

Sonic: What the?!
Dark Oak's belly opens up as a lot of hands come out.
Maple: Geh! That's disgusting!
The hands go to Sonic as Dark Oak punches Sonic.
Sonic: Guahh!
Maple: Sonic!
Dark Oak teleports as he was behind Sonic and kicks him up. Dark Oak smashes Sonic to the ground as rocks covered him up.
Maple: Sonic!
Dark Oak: Muahaha! I've done it! Now, it's your turn!
The snake on Dark Oak's body shoots fire as Maple was covered in fire.

Maple: Eep! I'm on fire now?!
Dark Oak takes Maple and goes to put her in his belly.
Maple: Wahhh!
Sonic: M-Maple!
Maple gets put in the belly as Dark Oak roars.

With Sally:
Sally slashes the pig as she gets a bell.
Sally: I wonder how Maple and Sonic are doing? Well, I'm sure they're not anywhere too crazy.

With Sonic and Maple:
Dark Oak: Hehehehahaha! I've done it! Sonic is gone!
Sonic: I don't think so!
Dark Oak: Huh?!

A burst of blue light shines over as Sonic breaks through the rocks. Sonic gets back up with his awaken skill.

Sonic: Like I said, it's not over!
Dark Oak: This time, I'll destroy you!

Sonic run towards Dark Oak as he jumps in the air and shoots two shurikens at Dark Oak, but he punches it as smoke was in the air.
Sonic grabs his kunai blades and slices off the hands. Sonic charges up his blades and shoots waves of slashes at Dark Oak as his health was going down.
Dark Oak: What?! Impossible!
Maple: Am I in his belly? Whoa! My armor's melting! I'm not taking damage tho, so I guess I'll eat him inside and escape!
Maple bites inside Dark Oak's belly as he couldn't move.
Dark Oak: W-What?! I can't move!
Sonic: Maple?
Maple: It's so sour! So tangy! And so...! So bitter!
Sonic: Now's my chance! Hmm?
Sonic gets a new skill.
Sonic: Sonic blast. When awaking, using two hands making a big beam.

Dark Oak: No! This can't be!

Sonic uses Sonic Blast as the beam hits Dark Oak.

Sonic pushes harder as the beam gets bigger going through Dark Oak.

Dark Oak gets obliterated as he disappears and Maple was falling.

Maple: Yep! I ate him inside!

Sonic: Same here. Let's see... Rewaken. Sweet! I'll be able to use awaken twice now! It looks like it reseted to two now.
Maple: That's cool!

Maple: I got Predator, Seeping Chaos, and Atrocity! That sounds pretty cool! I'll throw that on my armor set! Ooo, the others will be so surprised!
Sonic: Of course they are.
Maple: Also, who was that?
Sonic: Someone I know.

With the Flame Emperors:
One of the Flame Emperors was running from a horde of cows to their base.
Man: Nice work! Let's do it!
A lot of shields makes the pigs turn left as the girl mage heals one of the Flame Emperors.

Misery: Heal!
Man: Thanks so much, Misery!
Misery: Of course. Good work.
The cows get exploded as the traps were on the ground.
Misery: You and your traps are impressive as always, Markus.

Markus: I don't know about that. All I did was set a few traps. She, on the other hand...
Mii: Flame!
Mii shoots flames as the rest of the cows.
Mii: The mission was a success! It's all thanks to your hard work and bravery!
Markus: She Really has a presence when she speaks. No wonder people follow her.
Misery: Indeed. I suppose that's what you'd call her charisma.
Flame Emperors: Long live Mii! We'll follow you everywhere!

In a unknown place:
Blue: So it ended without a hitch!
Pink: Yeah. Being the third time and all, we've hit our stride.
Green: We're opening up Level 3 now, right? So much work! I wanna lie in my bath...

Blue: We've gotta keep a close watch on Maple.
Pink: She's got her wacky blimp, her Wooly, she ate Hydra, became an angel... and now a demon?!

Kuromu: "Holy Sword" and "Flame Emperors." It's no surprise they're at the top.
Kanade: And I heard both of em went to Level 3 already.

Iz: You two helped out plenty! This event was geared towards people with high agility!
Kasumi: Besides, there's no need to fret. We all gathered enough to earn a fantastic guild reward.

Kanade: That gives everyone in the guild three percent more strength, right?
Kuromu: It'll stack up before you know it.

Kuromu: We've gotta beat this guy to reach Level 3?

Sonic: I haven't shown the rest my skills. Might as well do it now.
Maple: Okay! Leave it to us!
Sonic: Alright! Here goes!
Sonic charges up as blue light shines through him. Sonic awakens as the others were surprised.
Everyone: Whoa!
Kuromu: Now that's cool.
Yui: Wow!
May: You look great, Mr. Sonic!
Kasumi: Amazing!
Kanade: Now, he looks cooler.
Iz: What skill!
Sally: I know, right?
Sonic: Yeah. Alright, Maple! Let's do it!

Maple: Predator!
A big monster pops up from the ground.
Sally: Wha...?
The tree uses its hands to wrap up the monster, but it breaks through.
Maple: Seeping Chaos!
The monster gets longer as Sonic jumps in. Sonic runs on the monster and uses his kunai blades to cut the roots. Sonic jumps in the air and throws a shuriken at its arm as it was cut off. Maple's monster attacks the tree again and again.
Sally: I see. So that's how it is...
Kasumi: She has more appendages every time I see her.
Kuromu: Yeah, but look at Sonic go.
May: He's so cool!
Yui: Yeah!
Kanade: Watching them never gets old!
Maple: And now for the finisher! Atrocity!
Maple's shield goes around her as it turns into a ball as it gets bigger and bigger. Everyone was surprised.
The ball breaks as Maple turns into a big monster.

Sonic: Here it is again.
The monster picks up Sonic as it puts him on its head. Sonic shoots energy blast at the tree as the monster kicks the tree to the ground as it eats the tree as it disappears.
Everyone: Ah...
Maple: This is harder to control than I thought!
Sonic: That was awesome!
Sally: Um, is that you in there, Maple?
Maple: Yup! Hold on a sec!
Maple turns back to normal as Sonic and Maple comes back down.
May: You were so cool, Mr. Sonic!
Yui: Yeah! You're amazing!
Sonic: Hehe, thanks.
Sally: What... was that?
Maple: Um, it's called Atrocity! It gives me 50 strength and agility, and though equipment effects don't work, you get 1,000 HP, and even if it runs out, you go back to normal!
Sonic: I know, it's broken.
Kuromu: Is she done being human then?
Kasumi: Yeah, she's given up. Entirely.
Sally: At this point, there's no use trying to make sense of Maple.
Iz, Kanade: Mmhmm.
Maple: Now I can protect everyone even better than before!
Sonic: Hehe, yeah.

In Level 3:
They walked through the cave as they got to Level 3.
Maple: So this is Level 3!

Kasumi: It feels completely different than Levels 1 and 2!

Sally: Let's go separate ways and check out what kind of zones are around.

Kuromu: We don't know much since we just got here. Lets us cover more area.

Sally whispers in Sonic's ear.
Sally: *Whisper* Have fun with Maple.
Sonic: Wh-What?!

Maple: Whoa! There's so much stuff!
Sonic: Tell me about it!

Old man: In the center of this city towers a grand building. That is where the Machine God lives.
Sonic: Machine God?
Old man: Yes. He's the one who created our flying machines and such. But not a single person understands how any of his machines work. People have torn them apart to learn, but there's nothing at all inside. Not even a single screw, gear, or spring to speak of.
Maple: Th-That sounds kinda scary in a way.
Old man: The real story starts now. You see, the Second Generation is the one there now.
Sonic: Hmm?
Maple: The Second Generation?
Old man: Yeah. This city was once brimming with normal machines. To us, who knew nothing of machines, the First bestowed us hopes and dreams. But one day, something happened while I was out of town. When I saw a pale light erupting from the city, I hurried back at once. But the city was filled with all new machines, and everyone had completely forgotten the First. What's more, the old machines were nowhere to be found. That's the end of my story. Nobody remembers the First
anymore.
Maple: Hmm. Do you think it means the Second hates the First then?
Old man: That's the end of my story.
Sonic: I guess that's all he can say now.
Maple: Thanks for telling us that wonderful story!
Sonic: Let's go to the center, Maple!

They got on top of Syrup as they are in the sky.
Maple: Think it's a rare quest or something?

Syrup flies down to the ground.

Sonic and Maple goes inside as the machines were broken. They keep walking, as they see a robot standing on a chair.

Sonic: A robot?
The metal coin appears as it goes into the robot.

Robot: I am... king of machines. Of great wisdom... and faraway dreams.
Maple: Huh? I think we started something!
Sonic: Looks like it!
Robot: I am... king. A once upon... king. He who was weeded out.
The robot stops moving.
Sonic: Hmm?
Maple: Wh-What happened?
Maple walks closer to the robot.
Sonic: Wait, Maple!
Maple: Huh?
The gears flies to its core.
The robot comes back as it's core was blue.
Robot: I am the... king of junk. He who sleeps among scrap. Making dreams and miracles... into rubbish. I'll make you two... rubbish, too.
The robot charges up a energy ball from its hand.
Sonic: What the?
Maple: Are you broken? Let's knock some sense into you!
The robot shoots energy blasts at them as Sonic shoots energy blast too, causing a explosion.
The robot keeps shooting energy blasts as Maple covers Sonic. Maple keeps blocking the energy blasts, but was pushed back.
Maple: Guah!
Sonic: Maple!
Sonic run towards the robot as it shoots energy blasts at Sonic, but Sonic uses his speed to dodge it. Sonic spin dashes at the robot as it gets pushed back, but the robot throws him.
Sonic: Sonic Wind!
Sonic kicks as a wave of slashes attack the robot, but he blocks it.
Maple: Syrup! Mother Nature!
Syrup summons roots from the ground as it wraps his arms and legs.
Sonic: Nice one, Syrup!
Syrup: Turtle!
Sonic: Maple, can you do something about this glowing part?
Maple: Yeah!
Maple gets back up and walks towards the robot.
Maple: Seeping Chaos!
Maple's hand goes inside the core as she damages it from inside, but the robot starts to glow red.

Robot: In this moment my thoughts are mine... I bestow you this, brave soul...
The robot shoots out a red glowing gear into  Maple's chest.

Sonic: What?!
Robot: Using my power, defeat he... Who I... once was.
Maple: Huh?
Sonic: What is it talking about?
Robot: Put me... to... sleep...
Maple: Bestow me what?! Hold up!
Robot: It is futile.
Maple: Wh-What?!
Sonic: Maple, get back!
Sonic grabs Maple as the robot starts to glow bright blue.
Sonic: Huh?!
The robot transforms as its color was different.

Maple: Wahh!
Maple tries to run away, but was too slow.
Sonic grabs Maple and gets cover as the robot shoots a beam.
Sonic: Phew! That was close!
Maple: What the heck is that?!
Sonic: Huh? Maple, your chest!
Maple: Huh?
Maple's gear starts to glow red.
Maple: Machine God?
The robot charges up his beam as Sonic and Maple faces him.

The robot starts to get mad as the ground was shaking up.
The ground breaks as they were falling in the air.

Sonic and Maple were side by side.
Maple: Commence Attack!
Maple charges up her beam as Sonic was also.
The robot charges up a beam as he fires it.

They both fired their beams as Maple's beam was red and Sonic's was blue. Their beams combined together as it was purple.

Sonic, Maple: Hraaaa!
Sonic: Full power!
Sonic releases all of his power into this beam as it gets bigger. The beam goes through as it hits the robot.
Robot: Graaahhh!
The robot breaks down as it falls to the ground.  Maple lands on the ground.
Sonic: Huff, huff... guess that's it...
Sonic loses his awaken as he falls down.
Maple: Sonic!
Maple catches Sonic as he was tired.
Maple: (He's so cute when he's tired.)
Maple then notices that she was on a mech suit.
Maple: Huh? Wha...?! What the heck is this?!
Sonic: Haha, you didn't noticed did you?
