In Kaede's house:
Risa: The only things that affect us are some of the skill fixes. They limited the number of times you can use Devour.
Kaede: Yeah, it's just ten times a day!
Sonic: Well, your Devour is kinda broken.
Risa: Yeah, I saw it coming. A shield that eats everything and gives you MP is way too strong.
Kaede: Ugh, and then there's the whole thing about defense piercing stuff.
Risa: They just fixed it so even you take damage now. I guarantee the developers did it as a countermeasure to Maple. And the AI improvements are to make sure there're no more Maples to come. It would destroy the game's balance if everyone got Total Defense.
Sonic: Wow.
Kaede: Ehh?
Risa: But, hey. While on one hand you can take damage now, doesn't that make it cooler? All the damage effects coming out will make you feel even more invincible!
Sonic: She's right. Getting damaged is a common thing, but it makes it even better.
Kaede: Hmm?
Kaede was thinking of her battling a lot of mages. The mages attack her, but it doesn't do anything.
Maple: It's my turn now. Hydra!
Maple summons a poison dragon as it shoots poison at the mages.
Risa: Well?
Kaede: That sounds awesome!

In the plaza:
Maple: Aw, they limited me. What should we do? Beat the dungeon to reach Level 2?
Sally: That's fine, but... Since I've always just gone to the lake, I still have t seen much of Level 1. I'd like to check out some places I haven't seen.
Sonic: True. There's quite a few places we haven't been.
Sally: Then let's take a look around today! We might come across something cool in a shop!
Sonic, Maple: Right!
Sonic, Maple, and Sally goes in shops looking for weapons, potions and skills. Sonic tries to find a shuriken scroll, but it wasn't here.
Sonic: (I'm never gonna find out what this shuriken does.)
Maple finds a skill scroll.
Maple: Oh! I think I'll buy this skill!
Sonic: Hmm?
Sally: "Cover Move"?
Maple: Yup! If you two are ever in a pinch, I'll be able to shield you right away!
Dealer: Come again!
Sonic and Sally were waiting for Maple.
Maple: Thanks for waiting!
Girl: Ooh, a weapon store!
The three looks over as there were two girl looking at the weapons.
Girl2: Hey, big sis! Shouldn't we buy good weapons to start out with?
Girl: Hmm. But if we spend too much, we won't be able to afford potions later.
Maple: They're so cute! They remind me of back when I was a newbie!
Sally: You know, we're still only newbies ourselves.
Sonic: Haha.
Maple: Oh, right!
Girl2: Let's go buy weapons! Weapons!
Girl: Um, well... But...
Girl2: Cmon, big sis! Decide already!
Sonic's stomach starts to grumble.
Sonic: Oops.
Sally: Haha, Maple! Still have some money?
Maple: Yup! Just what's left over after paying Iz to make a new shield.
Sally: Then, do you wanna see what that's all about?

In Cafe Radish:
Waiter: Welcome! Please have a seat!
The people were surprised to see Sonic and Maple.
Sally: You two are quite the celebrity now.
Sonic: Yeah, they're looking at me.
Maple: Huh? What was that?
Sally: It's nothing. Pop!
Sally checks the menu.
Maple: Whoa, there's so many choices!
Sonic: Those look good.
Sally: Got that right!
Maple: Oh! It says this one's seasonal! I'm picking that!
Sally: Then I'll go with this.
Maple: What about you, Sonic?
Sonic: Hmm. I guess I'll take this chocolate cake.
The waiter comes and brings them their order.
Waiter: I've brought your order!
Sonic: That was fast.
Maple: Ooh! It's just like the real thing!
Waiter: Please enjoy!
Maple: Thank you!
Sally: It's chow time!
The three took a bite of their food.
Sonic, Maple, Sally: Delicious!
Maple: I bet this would be so pricey in the real world!
Sally: And no need to worry about the calories either!
Sonic: This is amazing! Nom nom nom!
Maple and Sally were laughing at sonic as he had crumbs all over his face.
Sonic: Huh? What?
Maple: You have crumbs on your face!
Sonic: Oh, I do?
Maple grabs a napkin and takes the crumbs off of Sonic as he was blushing.
Maple: Huh? Sonic?
Sally: Hehe.
Sonic: I'm okay...
They all finished their food.
Sally: I wonder what the next event will be?
Sonic: The first event was a battle royal, right?
Maple: Yeah, but we were still teams even when it says battle royal. But I don't really want to fight you two.
Guy: They announced a new event not long ago.
Sonic: Huh?
Guy: You're Maple and Sonic, aren't you? You two got third place last event.
Maple: We are, but who are you?
Sonic: Wait a sec, are you...
Dread: Yep! I was second place. Dread
Drag: And I was fifth place. Drag. I saw you talking with Frederica. Nice to meet you.
Maple: Uh, nice to meet you. Who's this Frederica?
Drag: Remember asking someone where to fight monsters at? That's her.
Maple: Ahh!
Sonic: That was her?
Drag: So you met her too.
Sonic: Yeah.
Drag: You two really surprised her good. She never thought two newbies she gave advice to would land third place.
Sonic: Heh, that was all skill.
Maple: Well, I mean... we was just really lucky, that's all.
Sally: Oh, you're right! It says the second event will start next weekend!
Maple: We can party, too! We can do it together, Sonic! Sally!
Sonic: Yeah!
Drag:If we ever cross paths, go easy on us, kay?
Sally: But Dread place second and Drag got fifth, right? You two must be really good!
Dread: You know it. But even with the both of us, we're really no match for Payne.
Sonic, Maple: Payne?
Dread: You don't know Payne?! He's the one who placed first by a huge margin. And he reached Level 2 faster than anyone else. The guy's incredible.
Sonic: (Hmm? I'd like to fight him, someday.)
Maple: Whoa! To think there's people that awesome! It sure is a wide world!
Dread: Now then, we're off to build up some levels. And you guys?
Sally: There's still places we haven't seen in Level 1, so we're looking around.
Maple: Since we don't really have anywhere in mind, do you have any suggestions?
Drag: Suggestions? Let's see...
Dread: If you have time for it, how about the north forest? After nightfall, I hear there's a quest to get the Super Speed skill. However, it might be high difficulty for you girls, and you as well. What do you say?
Sonic: You think we'll back down from a challenge? Of course we're doing it!

At the plaza:
Sonic and Sally were running as Maple was in Sally's back.
Maple: I wonder what he meant by "it's high difficulty for girls, and you, Sonic?
Sally: No idea! But when he puts it like that, it fires me up!
Sonic: Same here!

In the spooky forest:
The three got to the spooky forest as there were ghosts and skeletons.
Sally: Ahh!
Sonic: Hmm?
Maple: You okay, Sally?
Sally: This is a game! This is a game! This is a game! No worries! I'm good!
Sonic: Are you sure?
Maple: You don't seem good to me at all.
Sally: Wanna run? Let's run! Let's do it! Ahh!
Sonic: Oh, your scared of ghosts.
Sally: Ahhh!
Maple: Hmm? Oh! Oooh, what pretty flames! There's even a green one!
Sally: What?! Over there! Let's go inside!
The three goes inside the house as Sally was by the table.
Sally: Is this what he meant by it being difficult for girls?
Maple: I happen to be a girl, too, by the way.
Sonic: I'm don't see anything scary.
Maple: This place is falling apart. Want us to explore?
Sally: It's all you.
Maple: You've been scared of ghosts since forever.
Sally: I'll never complete the quest like this! Good grief. I wonder if I should just log out.
Maple: I don't think they'll bother us if we stay inside.
Sally then hears something.
Sally: Eep! No!
Sonic: What's wrong?
Sally: S-Something's there! B-By the table!
Maple: The table?
Sonic and Maple takes out the table and the mat as they see a secret door.
Maple: This is...? Looks like there's a basement.
Sonic: Let's go in.
They open the door as they see a person tied up.
Guy: It hurts! It hurts! Guah!
Sally: Eee!
Maple: He doesn't seem like he's hostile.
Sonic: I'll go check.
Sonic walks next to the guy.
Sonic: Hey, you need help.
Guy: Guah!
Sonic: It looks like he's in pain.
Maple: I'll fix that.
Maple heals the guy with the potion, but it didn't do anything.
Guy: It hurts! It hurts!
Maple: Huh? That didn't work.
Sally: I could... try healing.
Maple: Okay! Go for it!
Sally tiptoes to the guy as she heals him.
Maple: It worked!
Sonic: It's not enough. You'll have to keep using it, Sally.
Sally: Heal! Heal! Heal! This is the last I've got! Heal!
Sally's last heal recovers the guy.
Guy: Thank you.
The guy then goes up and disappears.
Sonic: Uhh...
Sally: Do you think this means he's resting in peace?
Maple: Seems that way. Hmm? Oh! Look!
A scroll was on the chair.
Sally opens the scroll.
Maple: It's a Super Speed skil! I think we did the quest just now!
Sally: Phew!
Sonic: Haha!

In the spooky forest:
Sally: It's getting late. I think I'll log out for today after this. To be honest, there's somewhere else I wanted to go through.
Sonic: Huh?
The three stopped at a big log that was broken.
Maple: What's this place?
Sally: Fireball!
Sally shoots a Fireball as a bright light shines over them. As they open their eyes, they were in the sunset with a lot of flowers around.

Maple: Whoa!
Sonic: It's beautiful!
Sally: A never ending sunset area. I hear you can come here anytime and see this scenery.
Maple: Seeing the sunset after nightfall sure is a strange feeling.
The three were by the water as Maple pics up an little object.
Sonic: Huh?
Sally: What's that?
Maple: It says [Matter Red Mother of Pearl] Oh, there's another!
Sally: A souvenir, maybe? I don't know if they're used as materials, but... maybe they're just to sell?
Maple: I think I'll keep it and treasure it!
Sonic: Same! Seems like a waste to sell it.
Maple: Today was so much fun!
Sally: Tomorrow, it's back to leveling up and gathering skills. Let's at least get to Level 2 before the event.
Maple: Oh, yeah. What's the other place that you wanted to go?
Sally: Well... You'll have to look forward to it.
Maple: Hey, what gives?! Tell me!
Sally: Not happening. Not till Level 2.
Maple: Sheesh! Wah!
Sally splashes water on Maple.
Sally: Hehe!
Maple: You've done it now!
Maple and Sally were splashing each other as Sonic was laying down. Maple and Sally both splash on Sonic as he was angry.
Sonic: Really?!
Maple, Sally: Uh oh!
Sonic: You've done it now!
Maple, Sally: Wahh!
Maple and Sally were running away from Sonic.

The next day in the cave:
Sally: This entrance leads to the second level.
Maple: Alright! Let's head on inside!
Sonic: Yeah!
They go inside the cave as they were walking.
Sonic: Should I go this way?
Sally: That's fine!
They hear sounds as a bull was coming.
Sally: It's coming!
Maple: Leave it to me!
Maple goes in front of Sonic and devours the bull.
Sonic: There's more coming!
Maple devours all of the bulls.
Sally: Devour is way too good!
Maple: But I used it four times just now. I've only got six more uses today!
Sonic: Whoa! A bear!
Maple: Wah! That surprised me!
Sally: Maple, defend us!
Maple: Right!
Sally: Mirage.
Maple's shield then disappears.
Maple: Huh? Wha? What?!
Sonic: It's gone!
Maple: Where did...?! But I was holding my shield!
Sally: Good luck!
The bear runs towards Maple as she smacks the bear with nothing in her hands as it disappears.
Sonic: Maple, your shield's back.
Maple: Huh? What was that?
Sally: A skill called Mirage. I wanted to test it out before the event.
Maple: Oh?
Sally: Let's keep pushing ahead! Let's go!
Sonic: Yeah!
They rocks open a path as they entered the boss room.
Maple: This is...?
Sally: The boss room, probably.
The rocks closed behind them. They looked up as big roots were coming around. The roots were combing as it was a animal. The roots then turned into a huge monster deer.

Sonic: It's a dear!
Sally: Here it comes!
Maple: Okay!
The deer stomps it's foot as roots were coming for them.
Maple: Hydra!
Maple releases Hydra as the dragons eat the roots. The dragons go for the deer, but it disappears.
Maple: Huh?!
Sally: My bet's on the magic circle! There's gotta be something on it!
The deer comes back as it stomps it's foot again. Maple uses her shield to devour the roots. Sonic runs up ahead and jumps on root to root.
Sonic: Aura Punch!
Sonic goes for a punch, but it blocked it's face with the roots.
Sonic: Shoot!
The deer stomps it's feet as it hits Sonic.
Sonic: Guh!
Sonic lands on its feet.
Sally: I'm gonna go investigate! Can you keep it off of me?
Maple: Alright!
Sally: Sonic, help me out!
Sonic: Got it!
Maple uses Provocation to attract the monster to Maple. Sonic and Sally runs up to the monster.
Sally: Wind Cutter!
Sonic: Sonic Wind!
They both used their techniques as it cuts down the apples.
Sonic: The apples!
Sally: Maple, attack the apples!
Maple: Hydra!
The dragons attack the apples as they were all on the floor.
Maple: All the apples fell off!
Sonic shoots energy blasts and Sally uses Wind Cutter as it damages the deer.
Sonic: Alright!
Sally: We got him!
Maple: Time to pull out the big guns!

Maple uses Hydra again as it attacks the deer. The deer turns red as it was raging, making a huge explosion.
Sonic: Maple!
Sonic grabs Sally and runs towards Maple as he grabs both of them from the explosion.
The deer stomps it's foot as the roots send them up in the air.
Maple, Sally: Wahh!
Sonic: Maple! Sally!
Sally lands on her feet as Maple was confused.
Sally: Sonic!
Sonic was still in the air as the roots hits Sonic.
Sonic: Guahh!
Sonic gets pushed down on the ground as he was struggling to stand up.
Sally: Sonic!
The deer stomps again as the roots were coming for Sally.
Sonic: Sally!
Sonic gets up and runs to the roots.
Sonic holds back the roots as he was getting pushed back.
Sally: Sonic!
Sonic: Gh... Gh...!
Sonic's shuriken was glowing brightly.
Sally: (Sonic's shuriken... It's glowing!)
Sonic: Huahhhhh!
Sonic stops the roots as smoke was everywhere.
Sally: Sonic! No!

The smoke then clears out as Sonic was still standing, but something happened to him. Sonic had a blue tornado around him as red stripes were on his hair.
Sally: S-Sonic?
Sonic didn't speak as the roots were coming for Sonic.
Sonic grabs his shuriken as two blue kunai swords were on his hand.

Sonic runs and cuts the roots off as he jumps on the roots.

Sonic throws his blue shuriken at the deer as it damages it.
Sally: Wow!
Sonic uses double team as four Sonic's were running and slashes the deer as the deer throws him back. Sonic lands on his feet as the blue tornado was still around him.
Sonic looks at Sally as Sally knew what to do.
Sally: Got it!

Sally runs as she dodges the roots. Sally jumps in the air.
Sally: Double Slash!
The slashes damages the deer as Sally was on the deer's back.
Sally: Fireball!
Sally shoots a Fireball as it hits the deer. The deer shoots more roots as Sally dodges it.
Sally: Wind Cutter!
Sally shoots a Wind Cutter as it hits the deer's eye.
Sally: Now you're finished! Sonic!
Sonic charges up his punch as blue aura was his hand.
Sally swings from the trees and grabs her sword.
Sally: Power Attack!
Sonic runs and jumps up in the air as he releases his powerful Aura Punch as Sally's technique and the Aura Punch it makes a hole in the deer. The deer collapses as it disappears. Maple then wakes up.
Maple: Sh-Shoot! I've gotta attack! Huh?
Sally: We wrapped things up while you slept.
Maple: Sonic...?
Sonic turns back to normal.
Sonic: What was that?
Sally: That power?
Maple: What happened?
Sally: Apparently, Sonic just got stronger by the shuriken.
Maple: The shuriken?
Sonic: Yeah, I don't know how, but I-
Sonic then collapses to he ground.
Maple: Sonic!
Sally: Oh no! We gotta take him to the Inn!
Maple: Okay!

Few hours later In the Inn:
Sonic finally wakes up as he sees Maple and Sally.
Sonic: Maple...? Sally...?
Maple hugs Sonic.
Maple: You're okay!
Sonic was blushing.
Sonic: Hehe.
Sally: How are you feeling?
Sonic gets out of the bed as he moves around.
Sonic: Wow, I feel great now!
Maple: That's great!
Sally: But what was that, Sonic?
Sonic: I don't know. It just happened. The shuriken started glowing and then boom, it just happened.
Maple: Maybe that shuriken is special.
Sonic: Special?
Sally: Could be. Anyway, Me and Maple are gonna go to Level 2. You wanna come?
Sonic: Yeah! Of course!
Maple: Alright! We can all go together!
Sonic: (I still don't know what happened. I couldn't control it, it was doing it by itself. Whatever that happened before, I need to figure out how to control it.)

In the next level:
The three made it to Level 2 as the plaza was different.
Maple: Aww, talk about a total letdown.
Sally: Now, now. You'll have a chance to redeem yourself here on Level 2.
Sonic: Yeah, don't be like that.
Maple: Hmm.
Iz: Maple, Sonic!
Sonic, Maple, Sally: Huh?
Sonic: Oh, it's you!
Maple: Iz! You came to the second level, too?
Iz: Yes, and I already have a shop here. Is that another friend of yours?
Sonic: Yeah, this is Sally.
Sally: Hello! Maple had told me all sorts of things about you!
Iz: I'm a crafter, Iz. Nice to meet you! Oh, right! I completed the item you asked me to make!
Maple: Really?!

In Iz's workshop:
Maple checks out her new shield as it was white and yellow.
Maple: Thank you so much!
Sonic: Wow!
Sally: Incredible! So pretty!
Iz: I'm rather proud of it myself! What will you name it?
Maple: Snow White! I'll call it Snow White!
Sonic: Snow White, huh?
Iz: That's such a lovely name. I maxed out its vitality as much as I could. All so it would better match your play style.
Sally: Lucky you to get it in time for the second event.
Maple: Yeah!
Sonic: Iz, I want you to look at this.
Iz: What is it?
Sonic shows Iz the shuriken.
Sonic: It's this shuriken. You see, I turned different and I had crazy power. Do you know something about this?
Iz: Hmm. Never seen anything like it.
Sonic: I see...
Iz: Oh, the portal is gonna take a long time to finish, so you'll have to stay longer.
Sonic: I understand. Thanks.
Iz: You're welcome.
Sally: Now, to celebrate the occasion...
Sonic, Maple: Hmm?

In a unknown place:
Sally takes them to a unknown place as bright lights and stars were everywhere.
Sonic, Maple: Whoa!
Maple: This must be the place you were talking about!
Sonic: There's a table with drinks and plates.
Sally: I'm guessing something happens once we sit.
Maple: Let's sit down at the same time then!
Sally: Okay!
Sonic, Maple, Sally: Ready, go!
They sit down at the same time as there were fire on the candles, and the cups were in the air.
The bright lights shoots down juice to the cups as the cups goes down to the table. The drink then had stars and sparkles on the drink.
Sonic: Huh?
Maple: What's this?
The flames go to the drinks as Sonic, Maple, and Sally were surprised.
Sonic, Maple, Sally: Whoa!
The meal appears as it was three balls with different color.
Maple: A small piece of Sky...
Sally: It says, "Please enjoy your meal."
Maple tries the green ball first.
Sonic: Hmm?
Sally: How is it, Maple?
Maple: Mmm! It's like eating strawberries, oranges, and apples all at once!
Sonic: Really?
Sonic tries the blue ball.
Sonic: Wow! It's delicious!
Sally: Hmm. As for this...
Sally takes a drink of the juice as her hair was glowing.

Sonic: Huh?
Maple: Sally! Your hair is glowing!
Sonic: Maple! Your eye color's all weird!

Maple gets a glass as she sees her eye color was different.
Maple: Sonic, your body is red!
Sonic: Huh? Whoa!
Maple: Wah! You think it'll go back to normal?
Sally: Probably. Just give it some time. It's been only one month, yet it feels like I've come so far. To think you were so reluctant at first.
Maple: Those days are way in the past!
Sonic: Yeah.
Sally: I hope we end up doing well in the second event.
Maple: Yeah!
Sonic: Of course we're gonna do well! With the three of us together, nothing can stop us!
Maple, Sally: Yeah!
The three were looking at the stars. Maple and Sonic were blushing as their hands were together.

The next day in plaza Level 2:
Risa: I'm a little nervous, this being my first event and all.
Maple: There're just as many people as last time! I guess nearly everyone participates in events.
Sonic then sees Kuromu:
Sonic: Oh, Kuromu!
Kuromu: Hmm? Ah, it's been a while! You've got a new shield, huh?
Maple: Yeah! I'm planning to save Devour for when I really need it!
Kuromu: I heard about the shuriken thing, Iz told me.
Sonic: Yeah, it's crazy.
Kuromu: Is this the rumored friend of yours?
Maple: Yeah, this is Sally!
Sally: Huh? Rumored friend?
Kuromu: Uh, forget it! It's nothing!
The people were yelling as a girl was up in the front.
Girl: Listen! With this event, we'll bolster the reputation of the Flame Emperors! I promise you. As long as you're with me, you will taste only victory! As members of the Flame Emperors, hold pride in your heart! Follow me to the ends of the Earth and beyond the skies! Will not our fierce flames scorch whatever stands in our path?!
Flame Emperors: Yeah!
Maple: Ooh, they're pumped up!
Kuromu: That's a group called the Flame Emperors.
Sally: Emperors?
Kuromu: Kingdom of the Flame Emperors. Their leader's a powerful Fire Wizard.
Sonic: Who's she?
Kuromu: Her name's Mii. She came in forth, but she's a force to be reckoned with.
Maple: Oh, Mii? That's a cute name, but she sounds awesome!
Sonic: Mii, huh?
The little dragon pops up again.
Dorazou: Rawr! The countdown for the second event will begin momentarily! This time, the event is a treasure hunt! The items to be found are 300 silver medals scattered around the map! Collect ten of these for a gold medal! Gold medals can be exchanged for skills and gear after the event is over!
Maple: Oh. It's just like the one we got last time.
Sonic: Yeah.
Dorazou: The top 11 players from last event already have one gold medal each. Killing players for medals is a okay! You can always search for medals if that's not for you!
Maple: Huh? It wasn't a commemorative medal after all!
Kuromu: I was ninth place, so I got a medal too. Be careful it's not taken from you.
Sonic: Haha, well, let's see!
Dorazou: Rawr! Let's start the countdown! Five! Four! Three! Two! One!
Sally: Let's both do our best!
Maple: Yeah!
Sonic: Yeah, let's do this!
