Deep and ragged breaths escaped my mouth as I finally slumped down under a giant tree in the middle of the cave.  I was surprised to see a tree growing here.

It was about 20 meters high, it's lush green leaves swayed occasionally. It looked like giant oak tree but it had a much more darker trunk, it's roots dugged deep in ground and the leaves were much greener than any other tree I had every seen in my life.

As I took a rest, the screen popped out again.
Startling me again in the process, as I stared at the text.

[ congratulations host! You survived your encounter with the monster of granite cave! Although you just heard it's growl it still counts as the creature was on the move that time.

As a reward, more information can now be seen! ]

The text read making me tilt my head in confusion. "So let me get this straight, I just fucking survive a monster encounter?" I asked, waiting for it to hopefully reply.

[ yes, that's right. Rumors have it the creature in granite cave reached lvl 1,200 or more. That exceeds the level most B rank hunters can reach ]

The system response which made me nod my head. "Hey system, can you let me see my status? Or any information about me?" I asked and another screen popped out in front of me.

"Oh! Mhm well I got some pretty okay stats for a level one. Probably should try my skills later on" I mumbled as I stared at the screen.

"Alright, thanks system. Anyways do you mind telling me where I am right now?" I asked as the screen disappeared for a moment before popping back out with an answer.

[ you are currently in Midnight forest labyrinth. It has 50 floors in total and your currently in the 46th floor. As per the system rule, you survived an encounter with a mutant monster in the 46th floor you will be automatically teleported to the 1st floor of the labyrinth.

You can choose to stay inside or leave but be warned. Humans are hostile towards monsters and will most likely attack you on sight ]

The system said making me nod my head. "Wait, teleported to the first floor?" I asked, but before I can even get a response I felt a weird feeling all around my body and white light suddenly surrounded me.

I closed my eyes for split second and the next time I knew, I was out of the cave and was now in a grassland.

The grass stretch far as my eyes can see, big canopy trees can be seen every 7 meters or so. The grass was a little taller than expected, it almost hid my body and the only thing that can be seen was probably my back and head.

"Woah" I muttered in awe as stared at my surroundings. The sky was blue, the sun was high up in the sky and fluffy looking white clouds drifted along.

"Hey system, I'm on the 1st floor right?" I asked, trying to confirm if I was really still inside the labyrinth.

[ yes you are host, labyrinth and dungeons don't really get affected by the time outside of them. So even if it's night outside, the inside of a labyrinth or dungeon will still be bright.

Although there are several cases where the inside of a dungeon or labyrinth can be night due to the monsters and creatures living there ]

The system said and I nodded in response, thinking that maybe it can see me or something. "So, is there a boss room here or something like that? You know to let me move to the other floor?" I asked and waited for it's response.

[ yes there is a boss room at the far back of this floor. Each floor has a boss room you need to defeat at every floor in order to proceed to the next ]

The system response and the text disappeared before reappearing again.

[ survive and deafeat the boss in this floor host! See you in the second floor! ]

The text read out and before I can even say a word, it disappeared again. "Great, so it left me again after telling me to survive and defeat the boss here" I groaned and looked around, finally deciding to explore this new environment.

'I wonder what kind of monsters or creatures live here' I thought and continued exploring the floor.

"Maybe I can find some food here, as there's literally bushes and trees" I mumbled to myself before I stopped when I heard a rustling sound coming from a bush a few meters away from me.

Soon a creature emerged, it had the body of a four or five year old child but the face of an old person. It's skin was green, wrinkles can be seen in it's ugly face, it had pointed ears, dirty and grimy hands holding a knife crafted out of rocks.

It's beady red eyes landed on me and we stared at each other. 'So this is what a goblin looks like?' I thought and watch the creature cautiously.

"Skree!" The monster was the first to move. It suddenly lunge at me and my spider instinct suddenly kicked it a spiral of threads shot out from me, capturing the goblin.

The creature trashed back and forth, trying to break free from my threads, but the more it struggled the tighter my webs get.

I can now see blood on my webs where it held the goblin. "Ah, so this is steel thread. Neat" I mumbled as I observe my threads.

"Oh wait, let me check something" I mumbled out before deciding to open my status, which it did.

"So it used only 3 mp huh, well that's convenient" I mumbled as blood began to pour more out of the goblin who still struggled.

"Skree!" It screeched and trashed more violently. 'Maybe I should just kill it' I thought before slowly inching closer.

Once I was close enough, I shot another steel thread and tried to control it to cut it's neck off, which succeed after a few trials and error.

"Woah" I muttered in awe as I looked at the screen in front of me. I just gained 3 levels, bringing me to level 4.

"Well that was kinda easy, but let's not be to confident. The boss might be tougher than this" I said with a determined nod. I then stared at the goblins corpse, it's head as a few meters away from it and blood seeped out from it's neck and wounds that littered it's body.

"System? Hey! Can you help me where to find food? I'm hungry!" I called out to the system, waiting for it to respond, which it surprisingly did.

[ since the host is also a monster, you can eat other monster corpse. So eating that goblin will probably replenish your hunger a bit ]

The system said before disappearing again. "Ugh.. Do I really have to?" I groaned and stared at it once again before slowly creeping much more closer.

"Well, here goes nothing" I muttered to myself and closed my eyes as I took a small bite out from it's torso. 'Well, it's not tasty, it's rather bland' I thought and took a few more bites before leaving.

"Alright, not the best food out there but at least I ate something to give me energy so I can hunt and level up more. The faster I get out of here the better" I mumbled and continued to venture deeper inside the floor to hopefully find more goblins and raise my level high enough to fight the boss.
