~Anna's POV~

"I am so proud of you!" I slapped Itachi's back and wiped my fake tears.

"Yes yes but don't hurt me." He rubbed his back. I hugged him. He was accepted in the Medical College of his desire.

Graduation was a bittersweet event for us all. High school being over and now time for us to get really serious, it was an end of an era.

Konan and Amalie both went into the fashion industry, Yahiko took up engineering with Nagato. Hidan went in for philosophy, Kakuzu into banking and accounting, Deidara and Sasori pursued fine arts, Kisame chose Marine Biology. Itachi went to medicine. Shisui even abandoned the Force and joined a college for Computer Sciences to hone his skills. Speaking of him, he and Hisako were dating. They bumped into each other accidentally and totally fell for each other. It was like out of a fairy tale.

Me? It was the saddest with me. I still hadn't found the meaning I was searching for, so I left Japan and continued in Mathematics in America. It was a different state than Manny's but the same sky at least. It was a good change but being away from Itachi, so far from each other, it took epic strength. He was ok with it, said I was free to do whatever I wanted so long as I don't do anything stupid. He visited once or twice since his parents were here as well, so it was easy.

When I was through my second year, Amalie was getting married so I took that chance to go back to Konoha.

"Aaah! I'm soooo happy to see you!!" I hugged my brothers, letting them go after a few minutes. Max was ecstatic and Eric too. "You sure grew up in my absence."

"I'm almost your height." Eric commented, standing beside me.

"Of course."

We went home and rested. Itachi would get off in his college tomorrow so I didn't want to bother him. His studies were difficult. I met Konan and Amalie soon after and we spent some time together until Grizzly was free. It annoyed me that when I finally got some time with him, Manny called about some stuff. I had to quickly tell him what he asked.

"Yes yes. Anything else? Ok. Take care of my baby. Bye." I put my phone away. Itachi was giving me a weird look. "What?"

"Your baby?"

"Yes." Then it clicked. "Oooh! I meant my Charger!" He sighed in relief.

"For a second you had me worried there." Normally I would have punched his arm but something in me had changed. I just smiled at him. A sobriety in my manner was obvious to those who had known me for a long time. But, in exactly those people's company, I was not sober. A living paradox I was. "So, are you really going to wear a dress?" Itachi asked when I went deep in thought.

"Yes." He was surprised. "But I'm keeping pants on underneath."

"That's my Anna."

I normally don't like weddings but since it was Amalie's, it could be counted on to be artistic, especially if the groom was Sasori. They looked soooo lovely it was like watching a real piece of art.

The after party was fun as well. The whole group was gathered. Everybody was happy. I was glad to see Shisui as well. I did put on a dress with much difficulty and even some earrings and bangles and not to mention, heels. God the agony.

"Ah it was fun." I sighed and leaned in the seat of the Trans Amm Itachi was driving. " Oi, you missed my street."

" I did that on purpose." I looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

" And why, may I ask?"

" I don't want to see you off just yet." Sure enough if we had went to my house, it might have been the last time he would see me since I was just leaving tomorrow evening and who knows when we would get a chance to see each other again.

"Same." I started paying attention to the roads then to understand where the path will lead. Once the car stopped I noticed the familiar surroundings and came to an answer. The field.

I got out of the car and walked hand in hand with Itachi to the flowery bed and near the pond. My breath was caught in my throat. The scenery was just beautiful.

The moon was full and the sky was clear. The moonlight shone all around and the water in the pond reflected the light and produced a nice effect. The place was quiet except for the occasional chirping of crickets and frogs.

" Wow. I have never seen this place like this before!" I exclaimed regaining your breath.

" That's not the only reason I brought you here." Yet again I was confused by the Uchiha's odd behaviour and speech. He had been sly about something the whole day. He lightly tugged at my hand and in response I followed him towards the pond.

We both sat down at the edge of the pond and just admired the beauty of it silently. Itachi put his hand in the water and pushed a lotus towards me.

" Full bloom." I muttered. I kept my gaze on the lotus he kept passing to me. Each was a little different but last one he passed was just different. I just looked at it for a while then something shone in it.

I lifted that one lotus in my hand and saw a miniature version of it buried in the yellow center. Curiosity got the best of me and I poked the little lotus. It felt cold and hard, unlike the rest of the flower, so I lifted it up and saw a metal loop beneath it.

Oh my. Is this.......?

I looked at Itachi with big wide eyes. He was smiling and in between my surprise he took the ring the from my fingers and got on one knee.

Is he going to......?

" Ever since we got together and every time I see you I get a feeling of happiness. All the time I have spent with you just makes me love you more and more. It just makes me want to spend the rest of my life with you, be there with you, protect you, cherish you, belong to you, love you. So, Anna Wayne, will you grant me this honour by marrying me?"

Thump. Thump.

My heart was beating at an abnormal pace. It wasn't surprising that it started skipping some beats. I was frozen in place wile looking into my lover's gleaming eyes.

What the hell am I doing? I don't need to think about this.

Without a second's delay, I grinned and flicked the Uchiha's forehead.

" Idiot. You should already know that I belong to you."

" Is that a yes?"

" Of course its a yes!" Itachi gaped for a moment then took my left hand and gently slid the ring on. I kissed him and hugged him.

" I love you, Anna."

" I love you, Itachi."
