~Anna's POV~

"No way!!"

" Yes way!" My uncle replied with the same enthusiasm as mine.

" Oh thank goodness!!"

" Hahaha. I can understand your relief." I grinned widely but discarded every happy emotion once Seiji entered the living room.

" She's not you, Ann-tan, but she'll work."

" Idiot! You don't say these kind of things about a lady!" I scolded my cousin.

" Sorry sorry."

" So, how far have you progressed?"

" We are dating, again."

" A proposal isn't far away. Work hard!" I patted Seiji's shoulder and left for my room.

My uncle had been staying for about a months and Seiji finally, finally found someone he liked other than me. She's some girl from his past. Actually his ex-girlfriend, so he knows pretty much everything about her.

The reason they broke up? Oh I could never forget! Seiji had told me so many times that I had to shut his mouth when he was about to tell me earlier in the week. Well, the girl had to move here in Konoha and she wasn't able to stand long-distance relationships so they reluctantly broke up. But now, the girl, whose name I still don't know, is moving to America for career purposes, they can live a happy life.

Oh how nice it is to have one person off my back! I should inform Itachi! Tehe! But wait! He hasn't even made it up to me so why should I? Maybe I should tell him that I accepted Seiji's proposal! He would be so mad! But it'll be enjoyable!

Amidst my thoughts my phone starting ringing and I didn't have to see who it was.

" Yo."

" Yo."

" Yo."

" Yo."

" Yo."

" Yo."

" Dude, stop copying me."

" I'm not copying you."

" Yes you are."

" No I'm not."

" Yes."

" No."

" Yes."

" No."

" Yes- the hell?! Did you call for this? Cuz I have really important things to do right now." Everyday of the past month was like this. Itachi always called at a particular time for which I always excused that I had to go sleep. It was his way of trying to make up.

" Rude."

" I am."

" I know. So what important things you have to do?"

" Like help uncle pack things."

" Is he leaving?"

" Ya, Friday night."

" That's tomorrow."

" Right."

" I can't believe your cousin found someone."

" Excuse me. I'm not 'someone'. Humph." I grinned when the words escaped.

" What?"

" I just thought it would be nice if I went back to America with Seiji."

" What?" His tone was strict which told me he was buying it.

" Yaaa. The ring really fits you know. And it looks nice too. I will make sure to send you an invitation as well."

" What?"

" Oh come on! Don't you get what I'm saying?"

" No. What?"

" I'm marrying Seiji."

" WHAT?!?!"

" Well I thought he's such a nice cousin so why not."

" I'm hanging up and coming to get you your senses back."

" I don't think my fiancé would let you in."

" F-fiancé?"

" Oh Itachi please. You're smart enough. You should have figured it out by now."

" Drop the act."

" I'm not acting. I know, you just don't wanna believe it."

" Lis-"

" Oh, bye! He's 'calling'!!" When I ended the call, my laughter came out too loudly. I couldn't believe I did that to Itachi.

Oh well, he needs to be reminded that I'm not some toy that he can play with anytime he want. Humph. Must have given him a lesson.

" Sis!" Max yelled banging on the door and I sighed then went to open it.

" Hmm?"

" Why were you laughing so loud?" I leaned in the doorway with a smirk.

" His reaction was hilarious."

" Whose? And reaction to what?" Max asked confused.

" Itachi's, when I lied that I'm going to marry Seiji."

" Weren't you sleeping?"

" Nopes. Those are just lies so I can talk to Itachi since I can't see him and all."

" But you lied to him."

" Yes I did."

" Its not nice."

" I'm not nice."

" But you aren't mean."

" He needs to be taught a lesson Max. You'll understand when you grow up."

" What did Itachi-nii do wrong?"

" He isn't taking our relationship seriously."

" Then instead of lying to him, shouldn't you try strengthening your bonds with him?"

" What the hell have you been watching?" You bent down to his level but he looked away with a pout.

" Nothing. Sometimes I think too deep."

I gave him a weird look and picked Maxxie in my arms, kissing his cute blush and when I out him down, he fled before I could embarrass him any further.

When Uncle left and my schedule was all abnormal again, I would go to school early everyday and just occupy myself with some reading or the downloaded episodes of some TV series like sometimes when I had too much time at my hands I would start Sherlock otherwise it was Supernatural or Doctor Who.

Today however, I wanted to be early but I ended up being at school on my normal time. I spotted Natsumi who just 'hn'ed and left. I had to control my laughter when I remembered that after she had ganged up on me and I had broken her nose, she appeared next day at school with a plaster on it. It was soooo funny.

I just roamed the corridors, listening to Fall Out Boy, looking for somebody to talk to. Actually I didn't feel like talking but maybe if I did, time would pass a bit quickly. I spotted Itachi going in his class. I would have ran up to him but didn't. Sure we were patching things up but still it felt like I was bothering him so I just stuffed my hands in my blazer pockets and walked past his class but when I turned around to resume my walk back to my own, he was standing there, looking at me.

"Gaah!" He startled me. I breathed in relief and took out my earphones. "Sup?"

"Too tired today."

"Oh Itachi, I would have sympathised if I knew what made you so tired." I taunted, faking innocence.

"Yes I know. You are absolutely lovely when it comes to sympathising." Just then Natsumi passed by again. We looked at her go then I turned to Itachi, remembering something.

" So, are you gonna go to her house or invite her to yours?" His class has some assignments for science to be done in partners.

" I don't know."

" Well inviting would be better. I'll come too and I suppose Shisui would be there as well like he always is. We will occupy ourselves so don't worry. That way I would be able to keep an eye on her."

" Its a plain assignment, what could she possibly do?" I gave him a look. " Right."

" You know, she threatened me the other day to leave you alone so that she could get her paws on you-"

" What?"

" Who do you think broke her nose?" I looked at him raising an eyebrow. Didn't he know?

" Couldn't be you-"

" It was me."

" Why?"

" Dude, if someone tells me to back away from you, do you really think I would sit quietly and obey? And especially when I'm attacked-"

" What?!" The surprise was evident in his voice and eyes.

" Whoops. That wasn't supposed to come out."

" You were attacked?"

" Its nothing new." I shrugged.

" What do you mean 'its nothing new'? How many times have you been attacked?"

" Well, once or I guess twice last year. Remember the wound I got on my arm when my brothers went to Pakistan?"

" Yes."

" My 'fans' caused that."

" Don't make me feel guilty please. To think some girls got jealous and hurt you because of me, I feel like locking you away in my house."

" I wouldn't mind that." I smirked.

" Why did you hide it from me?"

" I didn't want you tearing yourself up because of me-"

" And people hurt you because of me, is that alright?" That tone....

" Well, you aren't hurting so I guess it is."

"Don't be so selfless. Not for me."

"I was holding my own just fine before any of you so-"

"Yes but now I am here so give me your burden. Share it." He pleaded.

"Ya but then again where are you most of the time nowadays when I do need to share some burden?" That quietened him. "And you are not sharing your burden and you know that makes me feel a bit worthless that you don't think me worthy enough to tell your problems."

"Its not like that."

"No. Its exactly like this with you, all lies and secrets and you expect me to be saintly and truthful." I had all the past month to think this up and now I was letting it out.

"I am sorry I make you feel this way-"

"Don't apologise if you're going to continue making me feel this way Itachi." He hugged me now. The passing students made some remarks but who cares about them. Before anything else could be said or done, the bell rang indicating homeroom. "Take care Grizzly Bear~! I sung and went to my class.

" Why is she looking me like that?" Natsumi asked Itachi as I kept glaring at her. Itachi took my advice-slash-order and invited Natsumi over. As I had suspected, Shisui would be arriving shortly. Meanwhile I was sipping cola from a can. Itachi had juice and Natusmi had juice too. Fucking copying bitch.

" No reason." I replied to her question.

" Then stop doing that."

" No."

"You're disturbing me. I can't focus on my assignment."

" Sit a little away from MY Itachi, then perhaps I will. And keep your paws to yourself."

" Are you calling me a dog?" She asked putting her hands on her hips.

" You're calling yourself one." I picked on the straw of my cola.

" I'm just elaborating that you called me one!"

" I didn't say you're a 'dog'. They're males. You're the 'female' version of a dog. Lol, never knew blondes were this dumb." I smirked in victory when I saw her fuming.

" I'M FINALLY HERE!!"

" Thank goodness." Itachi sighed in relief when he saw his best friend. " What took you so long?"

" My R1's giving me trouble." Shisui replied as he sat beside Itachi. Ugly had a red R1.

" Its been your best companion-"

" You've been my best companion!"

" Alright! Gay time over ugly!" I interrupted their conversation.

" You're the only ugly one here and weak on top of that." Natsumi said and both Itachi and I were just plain shocked and my jaw hung open.

She did not say that. She, did, not.......!!

" Let me at her Itachi!!" Apparently knowing my violent nature, Itachi had already grabbed me before I attacked the girl. I continuously thrashed my arms around but none of them hit.

" You shouldn't call people weak, especially when you know nothing about them." He told Natsumi who made a face.

" Ya. What he said!" I huffed when Itachi let me go and made sure I wouldn't attack.

"Anna we are going to start our assignment now." He told me.

"Sure. Imma be there with Ugly, keeping my eyes on you." I pointed to the kitchen. It had a view of the living room. Ugly was my assistant while I made some dango.

"Ne, what college are you attending?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Not really attending any college." Shisui answered. I raised an eyebrow.

"Then what do you do?"

"Our family, that is the whole Uchiha, we have a Police Force all over the world. We train and recruit early so I am an almost senior member there." I narrowed my eyes.

"What about your education?"

"High school is enough. When we are recruited, well more like selected, we start studying their subjects as well like those of tactics and strategy derivation and how to use your common sense," he joked and continued, "its a profession really. A family profession."

I went deep in thought after he stopped talking.

"So is this why Itachi's so busy lately? Because he is going to be a permanent member of the Police Force?"

"Oh that reminds me! You have PE day after tomorrow right?" I nodded. He completely ignored me. "Look forward to it." He grinned.

"I don't look forward to it anymore."

"Heeeee? Mood swings?"

" Shut it ugly-" My phone started ringing and I took it out and checked the caller's I.d. " Eric?"

"Sis, where are you now?"

" Why? Something happened?" I asked worriedly.

" Its nothing big. I just felt like letting you know that Max caught this random fever-"

" MAX'S SICK-"

" But we already took him to the doctor and he gave him some doses and all. Said he'd be fine in a few days."

" Is he sleeping right now?"

" Yes. I fed him and gave him the medicines."

" Good. I'll be home soon, alright?"

" Ya. K. Bye."

" Bye." Hanging up, I placed my phone back in its place and sighed.

" Max's sick?" Itachi asked with a concerned face appearing in the kitchen. I yelled the news too loud.

" Ya. By what Eric says, he'll be fine but.."

" Your supernatural powers tell you otherwise."

" Yes." I passed him his plate of dango and took the other one to Natsumi. Enemies or not, I was hospitable to all. "I should be going. I don't like this one bit, Max being sick."

"Should I come with you?" Itachi asked. I shook my head.

"No. No its ok. You have work to do. I will just..." I was a bit too worried for my baby brother.

"Shisui will take you then."

"I don't trust bikes." Itachi gave me a look for refusing the other option as well. "Its fine-"

"Its not. The sun is down already and you are stressing yourself by worrying. I wouldn't want you to be alone at such a time."

"Tachi really-"

"I will walk with you then." Shisui volunteered, putting his arm around my shoulder. I elbowed him in the chest.

"Don't touch me so casually. And no thank you, it would be so much trouble."

"Was she always this considerate and humble?" Ugly asked Grizzly who sighed. "Well since you won't let Itachi accompany you, and since Itachi doesn't like you being alone and I don't want my best friend worrying so I guess I will stalk you."

I sighed finally giving in. "Fine. Do whatever you want. See ya later Tachi!"

I was off quickly.
