Chapter 4

~Anna's POV~

Ah food~

We all got up from our places and sat by the dining table. I just looked at food. It was mouth watering. Mikoto sat at the leader chair. I were on the first chair from the far end. Beside me was Max then Tim. Sasuke, Itachi and Eric sat together. Itachi sat across from me. I noticed Mr. Uchiha wasn't there and went to inquire but remembered he was always away on trips like all that time back in America.

Dinner started and well, I wanted to try everything. Its been a while since I ate something cooked by a 'mother's hand'.

"Oi Itachi pass me the macaroni." I said.

" What, you can't reach it with you small arms?" He said with a smirk. My jaw dropped. Just moments earlier this guy was not even talking to me and now he's... he's.... flirting? Or does it count as mocking? Oh wait, someone as robotic as Grizzly cannot flirt.

" You know what forget it. I will get it myself." I huffed and got up from my, chair walked to the other side of the table, grabbed the macaroni and on my way back to my seat, slammed my foot against Itachi's chair and as a result he choked on his water. I smiled in victory and sat back re-seated myself." Next time, obey."

" Oh sure," He rolled his eyes and continued, "as if I will obey a person younger than me."

" Excuse me. I'm just an year younger than you are."

" Oh please children. No fighting on the table. You can have your love quarrel after dinner." Mikoto-san interfered with a motherly smile.

"Lover's quarrel?! As if!" Unfortunate for me, Itachi and I yelled at the same time.

"That's the first sign." Mikoto-san mentioned with a wink.

"Of what?" I asked.

"Oh nothing.." She trailed, glancing at Tim who also gave her a knowing glance. I shook my head and sighed.

"Adults are so complicated." I muttered under my breath.

"You are one to talk sis." Max commented.

"You've been awfully quiet."

"I was busy stuffing my face and also I was enjoying the show." He smirked. I sighed, again.

"So, little Ann, when are you starting school?" Mikoto-san asked.

"Next week! I am sooooo looking forward to it!" I answered enthusiastically.

"Ara, you always loved studying." She laughed in a nostalgic way then something clicked and she asked another question, "which highschool?"

"K-konoha High-" Her intense gaze had me stutter but I hadn't even finished answering when she had literal hearts in her eyes and she grabbed both my hands.

"You must go with Itachi!" She squealed. Itachi facepalmed himself. "And Sasuke too of course!" She added to avoid suspicion but the damage was done. I sweat dropped.

She totally ships us... *sigh*

"O-ok. I don't know the roads all that well anyway." I admitted then added to Itachi with a tumbs-up, "I am counting on you, Itachi!" His eyes twitched and he sighed.

"Then its settled! If you need any help, just tell me!" Mikoto-san offered and everyone went back to their meals.

After dinner, I offered to help clean the dishes and thankfully, Mikoto-san accepted. We talked about all kinds of things. She told me she was extremely happy to have me as a neighbour and I admitted the same thing.

"Thank you for having us Mikoto-san." Eric said and bowed, as did all of us.

"Oh it was really nothing. Come by anytime." She answered.

We all said our goodbyes and were on our way home. Max was sleepy so he was in my arms but he demanded to be put down once we reached home and ran off to his room instantly.

Ah what a day today~

I felt giddy for some reason that I knew and not knew. Reunion with Uchihas and same school as Itachi, seems good.
