~Itachi's POV~

I felt guilty as heck for saying what I said to Anna. I was just irritated when my father scolded me about not having my marks up to his expectations even though I had first position in the whole grade. And I took it out on Anna. She was still recovering and on her medication and I had to go and make it worse for her.

She wasn't bugging me. I actually liked it when she was around. A fresher half to my gloomy quiet. I smiled to myself at that thought.

"You messed up Itachi." Yahiko told me, shaking his head. "Why the heck are you smiling? Its creepy stop it."

"Do you remember a Marcus?" I asked a question of my own, ignoring everything he just said.

"I remember THE Marcus. Man he was something." I ran a hand through my hair, not being able to completely remember the guy. "Do you remember a Jacob?"

"Of course I do. How can one forget a psychopath?" I confirmed and we both sat on a bench, Yahiko started telling me about some of Anna's past.

"Your mother sent you as Anna's escort, not as company." I raised an eyebrow. "With your training and all."

"What do you mean?"

"It was quite a day like this, after you shifted back here." And he told me what happened. About Anna's father, about Emily, about Jacob, he told me all of it. This incident marked the second time Jake had hurt Anna.

After hearing this story, I didn't feel enough motivation to ask about Marcus again. I felt really bad now for what I said to Anna. I never knew guilt and remorse was possible for me but she made me feel it.

"That bastard messed Anna up real bad so be careful about what you say to her." Yahiko gave me one final advice before we parted ways to go to our respective homes. All the while I was worried whether or not Anna reached her home and if I hadn't caused another attack for her. She was really angry when she left.

I arrived home and rang the Waynes' bell, Max opened the door. "Itachi-nii If you are looking for sis, she went out." He told me without me asking him.

"She returned first, then went out?" I confirmed.

"No she went about two hours ago. Why?" I panicked.

"Just tell me when she gets back ok?"

"Ok..." I left quickly after that wondering why Anna hadn't returned yet. I thought about trying to look for her but that was soon omitted when yet again, my father called me, definitely to preach about something that wasn't my prime concern right now.

A few hours passed when I received a call from a landline. I picked it up and heard Max's voice. "Sis is home," I breathed a sigh of relief, "but if you want to talk to her, now is not a good time."

"Why?"

"She is super angry. Nearly broke the door." I gulped. It was my fault.

"O-ok. Thank you for telling me. Don't mention to Anna that I asked, alright?"

"You are acting weird Itachi-nii." I sighed. "Ah sis is calling for me, got to go, laters~"

"Ok." The line went silent. If my previous guilt was something, right now I was drowning in it.

How should I make up for this?
