Ch. 96 - Party Time?

< Chapter 96: Party Time? >

♥ Justin’s POV: ♥

“It’s not as cold out as I thought it’d be,” Ryan commented, dragging a chair in front of a table and pushing it in.

“Better for us,” I chuckled, walking over to him and grabbing his shoulder. “Let’s head on inside now.”

“Are we done?” he asked, looking around Jamie’s backyard.

“We’re done,” I nodded, following his gaze. “Phoebe will take care of the rest.”

“How nice of her to do this for you guys,” he said, a smile creeping on his face.

“Nice? She’s amazing. But you helped a lot, too so thanks,” I patted his back and walked back inside the house, him following after me.

“You can go ahead and take a shower first,” he called out. “I still don’t know what I’m going to wear.”

“Since when are you so critical about your clothes?” I laughed.

“Shut up,” he stuck his tongue out at me. “Just go, I want to be ready before Allison gets here.”

I raised my hands up in defense. “Calm your nipples, bro.” Hearing him laugh behind me, I chuckled to myself as I went up to my room, taking out the clothes I was going to wear before heading to the bathroom.

It’s finally time for Lil Jason’s baby shower. I’m so happy that Phoebe did her best to make sure everything was awesome and I’m sure Jamie will love it—especially since she doesn’t have to walk around in crutches anymore. She actually got released from those four days ago, which was a huge relief. Now I know she can go places more comfortably, even if it’s just to the bathroom.

Now all we have to do is wait for Phoebe and the others to come over and finish setting up so that we can call Chaz and give him the okay to bring Jamie over. Even though she knows what’s happening, it’s more of a surprise if she’s the last to show up.

After finishing my shower, I quickly got dressed, spending an extra amount of time on my hair before the sound of the doorbell ringing interrupted me. I fixed my shirt before walking downstairs, strolling towards the front door.

“Wow, nice dress,” I playfully winked at Phoebe, stepping aside to let her in.

“Nice… Hair,” she laughed, setting her purse and a few bags down on the couch before I closed the door.

“I spent more time on it this time,” I stated proudly and she rolled her eyes.

“Don’t act like you don’t do that often,” she retorted smartly and I pouted as she grabbed some of the bags she came with and handed them to me. “Here, these are bags of chips. Can you just pour a few into a couple of plates? I’m setting them at each table so everyone has snacks and you’d be a huge help.”

“Sure. Yeah, let me get some plates,” I agreed, taking the bags. She quickly thanked me and rushed to the backyard to do some last minute touches. I went into the kitchen, bringing out a couple of plates and opening the bags of chips to put into each of the plates. A few minutes later, I heard the doorbell ring again and I sighed, knowing I was going to hear that sound a lot in the next hour.

I put down the bag of Doritos I currently held and wiped my hand with a napkin, heading towards the front door to see who it was but the minute I stepped into the living room, I got my answer.

“Oh please cut it out,” I groaned, watching as Ryan made out with Allison, who was still standing at the door. They pulled away, Allison blushing and Ryan glaring at me.

“It’s not like you and Jamie don’t do this every hour of the day,” he smirked.

I narrowed my eyes at him. “Shut up and help me move plates to each table.”

“Oh, I can help with that,” Allison piped in. “I also came to bring out the box I decorated last night from the basement. I had to keep it there because the glue had to dry but it’s where people are going to put their presents.”

I relaxed my shoulders, breathing in a sigh of relief. “Allison, I fucking love you, okay?”

Ryan gave me a strange look. “What?”

“Not that way, I meant she’s a big help, now leggo people, I told Jamie we’ll be ready by 8 o’clock.”

“Chill out,” Ryan laughed, taking Allison with him to the kitchen.

The rest of the hour was filled with everyone running all around the house, getting things into place and making everything look good while the doorbell occasionally rang and someone new would show up. First, Jade and Danny showed up with Jamie’s grandparents along with my mom, who showed up with my grandparents. Next was Noah, who went straight to Phoebe to help out. Then, Dad showed up with Erin, Jazzy and Jaxon, who were distracting at first but I got back on track quickly. And mostly after that were people like Phoebe’s parents, Ryan’s parents, Jamie’s cousins and aunts and a few of mine and blah blah blah blah.

I finally got everyone a table in the backyard before the annoying sound of the fucking doorbell rang again.

“I got it,” Ryan called, and I stopped him.

“No, let me,” I offered, “Just get the drinks out from the fridge for everyone, ok?”

“Gotcha,” he winked, leaving to the kitchen as I walked to the front door once again. Opening the door, I was surprised to see the person on the other side.

“Justin!” her smile was enormous and I let out a soft gasp, blinking at her.

“M-Megan?!” I asked, wanting to make sure it was her.

“Oh please tell me you remember me,” she giggled.

“N-No, of course I remember you, I just-… I haven’t seen you in so long,” I stuttered.

“You’re even more attractive in person than how I remember you,” she eyed me up and down before smiling at me in approval.

“And you… You look great,” I chuckled.

“Thanks,” she brushed a strand of hair over her ear. “And I know you’ve been busy being a celebrity and all that, but I really missed you.”

“I missed you too, and I haven’t seen you for like, four years,” I said, still shocked she was here. Jamie and I knew Megan since sixth grade, but she was closer with Phoebe and Jamie than she was to me, most likely because I stopped seeing her when my career started and I lost contact with almost everyone from school that I knew, only talking to a few occasionally. But Megan is a swaggy friend, and I’m honestly so glad to see her again.

“I know! Phoebe invited a few of Jamie’s friends from high school but I knew her since middle school and high school so no surprise that I’m here,” she laughed.

“Oh great, so I’ll have to greet people I don’t know at the door?” I joked.

“They might have a heart attack first. I mean, you are Justin Bieber,” she teased.

“Oh shut up,” I playfully rolled my eyes. “But please come in, the baby shower’s in the backyard.”

She thanked me before joining the party and I smiled to myself. To know that I’ll be seeing old friends just makes this day even better.

♥ Jamie’s POV: ♥

“How can a pregnant person look so good in a dress?” Chaz teased, taking my hand and helping me down the stairs.

“Wow thanks, Chaz,” I laughed, grabbing my purse once we reached the living room.

He rolled his eyes at the same time as his phone started ringing. He grabbed it from the table and pressed it to his ear.

“Hello?” he answered. I looked at him curiously, flipping my hair to the side as he continued speaking. “Okay we’ll be on our way then. Bye.” He ended the call and put his phone back into his pocket before looking at me. “It was Justin. He said we can head over there now.”

“Oh good,” I smiled, my heart fluttering at the sound of Justin’s name being spoken out loud. “We should go.”

“Yeah, but he said one more thing,” Chaz added and confusion spread onto my face.

“What’d he say?”

“He told me to tell you that he loves you,” he said teasingly, grabbing his car keys.

“Aww, well I love him too,” I cooed.

“You should probably say that to him, not me,” he grinned.

“I will,” I smirked, crossing my arms before following him outside and to his car.

When we got to my house, I could hear the music playing from the backyard and my heart bounced in joy. The minute I walk through that door, I’m able to see my family, friends and boyfriend I love more than anything in this world.

“Ready?” Chaz’s voice snapped me from my thoughts. I looked at him and smiled, taking off my seatbelt.

“Ready,” I confirmed, and he got out of the car before running to my side and helping me out. I thanked him quietly and we locked arms as we walked towards the front porch. I reached out my hand, rang the doorbell and waited for an answer. After a couple of seconds of waiting, the door swung open to reveal my mom standing there with the biggest smile on her face. “Mommy!” I said playfully, giving her a huge hug.

“Hi sweetie, you look so pretty!” she squealed, hugging me tighter before pulling away.

“So do you,” I winked, and Mom laughed before greeting Chaz as well.

“Let’s join everyone at the backyard, okay?” she said, leading the way. We followed her outside, where everyone quickly noticed I had arrived.

“CONGRATULATIONS!” everyone shouted, and I hid my face into my hands, not wanting them to see me blushing as I said a shy thank you.

“Baby,” I heard a soft whisper behind me. My heart skipped a beat and I turned around to see Justin looking as handsome as ever.

“Doofus,” I teased softly, and he chuckled quietly before giving me a quick hug and pressing his lips to my forehead.

“Go on,” he whispered, “Greet your family and friends before we start the games.”

“Okay,” I said against his chest, pulling away and instantly missing his scent. “Oh, and I love you too,” I smiled, winking playfully at him.

“Wait, what?” he asked in confusion.

“When you called Chaz, he said he told you to tell me that you love me. So now I’m saying that I love you too,” I clarified.

“Oh,” he laughed, shaking his head. “Well I love you more,” he smiled, giving my hand a reassuring squeeze before letting me go, and I turned around to see people approaching me, all of them wanting to greet me. As I saw faces I haven’t seen in a long time, my smile widened on my face and I began to greet everyone.

“Jamie!” a familiar voice called out to me, and I turned around to see a face I also haven’t seen in a while.

“Megan?” I gasped in joy, embracing her into a hug. “Oh my god, how are you? I haven’t seen you in so long!”

“Same! I can’t believe you’re having a baby with Justin! Oh I so saw this coming. Congratulations,” she winked and I found myself blushing again.

“Thanks,” I giggled. “And I’m guessing you’ve already spoken to Justin? You guys haven’t seen each other for way too long.”

“Yeah, we talked for a bit. You both have grown so much and you know I’ll be fangirling over you two every day,” she laughed, then leaned in, her voice lowering. “If you ever need a babysitter, you can always give me a call.”

I goofily rolled my eyes. “Megan, you don’t know the first thing about babies,” I teased.

“I’ll learn,” she laughed. “What’s the name of the baby anyway?”

“Jason,” I smiled, running a hand down the length of my belly.

“Too much cuteness… I think I need to sit down and breathe,” she gasped, and I laughed again.

“You do that. I need to finish greeting everyone else,” I hugged her again after hearing her agree and left to acknowledge Justin’s side of the family.

♥ Selena’s POV: ♥

I slid my heels on and quickly got my make up done before finishing touches on my hair. Smacking lipgloss on, I grabbed my purse and walked out of my room.

“Taylor, are you ready?” I called out, reaching the living room and grabbing my car keys.

“Just a minute, Sel,” she called back and I sighed.

“Hurry up, if you want me to drive you to your cousin’s party,” I said, just as she walked out from the bathroom.

“Are you coming with me?” she questioned, confused as to why I was all dressed up.

I shook my head, checking my watch. “No,” I simply replied.

“Then, why are you w—?”

“–Let’s go, Taylor, I’ll be late,” I interrupted, grabbing my purse and walking out the door, hearing her footsteps follow behind me.

“Late for what?” she asked, desperate for an answer.

“I have somewhere I have to be right now,” I answered vaguely. “I’ll pick you up from the party, just send me a text, ok?”

“Okay,” she answered reluctantly. I put on my glasses and smirked to myself.

Let the fun begin.
