Ch. 71 - Tensions, Part 2
< Chapter 71: Tensions, Part 2 >
♥ Ryan’s POV: ♥
“I WON! Ha, I told you!” Allison cheered, jumping up from the couch and doing a little dance. I rolled my eyes with a smirk and leaned back in my seat.
“You didn’t win,” I said stubbornly.
She stopped dancing and pointed at the television screen. “Are you blind or something? Of course I won! Just look right in front of you!”
Indeed we were playing Mario Kart and it just so happened that Allison came in first place.
“That’s just a glitch or something,” I grinned, causing Allison to burst out laughing.
“You’re funny… and in denial,” she winked before sitting back down next to me. I let out a small chuckle and kissed the side of her cheek before the doorbell rang loudly.
“Hold on,” I told her, setting the wii remote beside me before getting off my lazy ass and walking over to the front door. Once I swung it open, I did a double take, unable to believe who was in front of me.
“Is Justin here?” Selena-the-bitch asked, as she looked up at me.
“Why the hell would I tell you where he is?” I growled. “Heck, why are you even here?”
“I just want to see him,” she shrugged.
“You have no right to see him,” I rolled my eyes then added, “Aren’t you supposed to be in L.A or something?”
She let out a loud laugh, making me want to throw up.
“I can see why you and Phoebe are friends,” she giggled and I gave her a look of confusion.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Nothing,” she shrugged it off, “Do you know where Justin is then?”
I narrowed my eyes at her, knowing exactly where he was. But was I going to tell her? No.
“Not really,” I lied, doing both Justin and Jamie a huge favor by keeping Selena off their backs.
“Whatever, I’ll just call him,” she scoffed, turning to leave.
“Or… You can just stay the fuck away from him. How about that?” I asked in annoyance.
“Don’t tell me what to do,” she said sternly before leaving off my front porch, not looking back at me once. I stared at her retreating figure for a while before letting out a frustrated sigh and slamming the door shut.
♥ Justin’s POV: ♥
“Justin..” Jamie moaned loudly as I thrusted further into her. I, myself, let out a soft moan as I felt my body become sweaty from all the heated tension rising in the atmosphere. I pulled away from her and began to place open mouthed kisses up her stomach as if to kiss both her and the baby. I began to massage her belly as I trailed up to her right breast, placing small kisses and sucking her nipples.
Her moan filled my ears once more, turning me on even more as I continued to please her until the loud sound of a phone ringing interrupted us. I let out an irritated groan as I pulled away, leaving Jamie breathless.
“Sorry,” I whispered in her ear before reaching across to her nightstand, picking up the ringing device and silencing it by pressing the answer button. “Hello?”
“Hey Justin, how are you?” I heard a voice greet me.
I paused, breathing heavily from how hot the room felt.
“Who is this?” I asked after a while.
“Umm, it’s me.. Selena,” she replied, “I just landed from L.A and I’ve been dying to see you.”
I gritted my teeth slightly as I remembered all the things Jamie told me about her tricking me and taking advantage of me ever since my accident.
“I-…” I paused, trying to figure out how to phrase what I wanted to say. “We’re through, Selena.”
Jamie’s eyes widened and she looked up at me, finally realizing who I was talking to.
“W-What?” Selena stuttered. “Why?”
I laughed bitterly, “I think you know why.”
And that was all I said before I hung up.
I set my phone back on top of Jamie’s nightstand and she stared at me curiously.
“Is it over?” she asked softly. “You broke up with Selena?”
“Why would I want to keep her after what she did?” I asked her, leaning close so that my lips hovered over hers. “Why would I want to keep her when I have you?”
She was silent for a while and I could feel her hot breath on my lips, so I began licking them.
“You wouldn’t want to..” she whispered.
“Exactly,” I spoke my words before sealing it with a huge, passionate kiss on her amazing lips.

♥Jamie’s POV: ♥
I just came out fresh from my morning shower after I cleaned myself up from all the sweating I had done with Justin.
If you know what I mean…
Anyway, I immediately noticed that the house was covered with the smell of bacon, and my eyes lit up.
“Justin?!” I called out.
“In here!” he replied, his voice seemed to have come from the kitchen. I followed the smell of bacon and where Justin’s voice sounded like it came from and I indeed ended up in the kitchen.
“You’re making my favorite?” I asked, touching where my heart is located as if to seem touched by his actions. Which I was, but still..
“Yup! Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich for my lady,” he smiled at me, and that’s when I noticed he was only wearing a pair of sweatpants and his abs glowed like the morning sun to me.
I felt my cheeks redden.
“Awh, you’re so sweet,” I cooed, leaning over to him and placing a kiss on his cheek.
“I try, I try,” he smirked, turning back to preparing our breakfast and silence fell over us.
I watched him carefully as he nervously finished up the meal and set the plates at the table.
“Done,” he numbly stated, sitting down on a chair.
I frowned at him. “You okay?” I asked, sitting beside him.
“Yeah, I’m great,” he said, before taking his sandwich and biting into it.
“No you’re not,” I countered.
“What makes you say that?”
“Because I know you like the back of my hand,” I crossed my arms.
He sighed, running a hand through his face. “Fine,” he muttered.
“What’s bothering you?” my voice softened as I uncrossed my arms.
“I just… I have two questions I’ve been dying to know,” he spoke lowly, making me feel like I couldn’t make a sound if I wanted to hear him.
“Just ask,” I prompted him, waiting quietly for him to speak.
“Well… before I lost my memory and… we were together, you know…” he trailed off to look at me and I nodded, letting him know he could go on. “Was I a good boyfriend to you?”
My eyebrows rose in confusion. “Of course you were, you were an amazing boyfriend,” I nodded, “Why would you doubt it?”
“I don’t know… I guess I just wanted to know if we argued a lot,” he shrugged.
“Argued? Well.. we had our share of arguments, but they weren’t too bad,” I told him, and I felt myself gulp hard. I just realized that our last argument was probably the reason he lost his memory in the first place.
I’m still confused about that day and why he acted the way he did, but maybe I’ll never know, if he never regains his memory.
“No?” he cracked a smile, reaching his hand out to grab mine.
“Nope,” I smiled back, popping the ‘p’.
“That’s good,” he whispered, raising my hand up to kiss it. “I don’t want to have a history of constant fights in our relationship.”
“Every relationship have their share of fights, but I know we can grow stronger with ours,” I said.
“True,” his smile widened. “I may not remember much about our relationship in the past, but my feelings are still here. I know you probably feel like I’m some different person because I don’t even remember a single thing about anything we did together as a couple, but I promise you I still love you. I’m trying to remember, I really am. I’m doing it for you. But please be patient with me. I’m not completely gone yet.”
“I am being patient,” I reassured him, partially lying because I sometimes wish he’d remember already. But it’s not like it’s his fault. “I’m not leaving you now, don’t worry. After all, we do have a baby together.”
His eyes widened as if this was new information to him. It seemed like reality hit him in the gut and it’s now that he was finally starting to process the fact that him and I— best friends since birth— are giving birth to our own child.
“Yeah,” he whispered, “I don’t remember anything about our baby either. I just know it’s there,” he pointed to my belly.
I gave him a sad smile, “It’s not your fault.”
He didn’t say anything, he just stared at my pregnant belly. After a few seconds of silence, his voice filled the air again, “What’s the sex again?”
“The sex of the baby?” I asked for clarification, earning me a nod from him. “We haven’t found out yet..”
His eyes widened, “You haven’t? Really?”
“Really..” I trailed off. I kind of postponed my appointment, hoping that Justin’s memory would come back soon and that we’d go find out then.
“What-.. what are you waiting for?” he asked.
I shrugged, “I don’t know.”
“What do you mean you don’t know?”
“It’s not such a big deal. I mean, some couples don’t even want to know the gender during the pregnancy. That way, when the baby is born, it’ll be a surprise,” I pointed out.
“And you want to be one of those couples?” he raised his eyebrow doubtfully.
“I actually would like to know..” I mumbled.
“Then why haven’t you made an appointment?”
“I did… And then you got into the accident. I didn’t want to find out without you,” I defended myself.
“And now that I lost my memory, you’re waiting for it to come back,” he nodded his head and sucked on his teeth, sinking in the information bitterly.
“What? No!” I protested, even though it was kind of true.
He looked at me in silence, his lips forming a thin line as if he expected me to go on. So I did.
“I can go make a new appointment right now, if you want,” I offered.
“I’m not going to force you,” he replied.
“You’re not forcing me,” I took his hands into mine, “I really do want to know. Just come with me… I don’t want to go alone.”
He continued to gaze into my eyes before giving my hands a squeeze. “You’ll never go through it alone. I promise. I may have lost my memory, but I still care. And as long as I’m still alive, you’ll have someone to be there for you.”
My lips curled into a smile, “Thank you,” I whispered.
He kissed my forehead, “No problem.”
“I’ll go call my doctor then. Let’s find out if it’s a boy or a girl,” I couldn’t stop smiling at the thought.
“Which one do you want?” he whispered.
“Me? I’m not really picky about it, I don’t care if it’s a boy or girl, I just want this baby to come out healthy,” I admitted in complete honesty. “Why? Is there a specific gender you’re hoping it is?”
“No,” he shook his head, “Again, as long as it’s a healthy baby I’m having with you and no one else.”
My heart fluttered at his words.
“You do know I love you right?” he added, leaning in and pecking my lips.
I nodded with another huge smile on my face, “I know.”
“Good,” he pulled away, shifting his attention to his breakfast. “Oh, and one more thing.”
“Sure,” I waited for him to ask me his question as I watched him take yet another bite of his food.
“How far along are you?” he asked quietly. I couldn’t help but find his shyness so cute.
“Six months,” I answered, grabbing the sandwich he made and suddenly realizing how hungry I was. Or should I say… How hungry the baby was.
“Oh,” he replied with a smile. His eyes traveled over to my belly again and his smile widened. I watched him in the corner of my eye, trying to contain how hard I wanted to smile right now.
He’s right. He might not remember much about us, but his feelings are most definitely still there.
