Ch. 40 - Déjà Vu
< Chapter 40: Déjà Vu >
♥ Jamie's POV: ♥
Allison was an amazing girl. From the little time we had to know each other, we got along pretty well and she's actually funny, beautiful and really easy to talk to. She definitely seemed like Ryan's type, and the fact that he brought her here and introduced her to everyone most likely means he at least likes her on some level.
I watched with a smile as she made conversation with Justin, who just so happened to be one of her idols. Justy was kind enough to autograph her a few things, and he even gave her one of his purple hats for her to keep.
"Why are you all so cool?" Allison asked randomly, playing up a smirk.
"It's just who we are," Chaz responded with a cocky grin. I laughed as Ryan shrugged his shoulders, then smacked the back of poor Chazzy's head.
Allison let out a few giggles and then glanced at her watch, her eyes widening. "Crap, my mom told me to be back as soon as I bought my cousin's gift," she muttered, standing up from her seat on the couch.
"No.." Ryan almost whispered. "Please stay."
Allison rolled her eyes and smiled at him, pinching his cheeks. "No worries! I can give you my number and call you tonight, sound good?"
Ryan's lips curled up into a smile and I found it odd how he didn't smack away the hands that were pinching both of his cheeks, as if he was a child. He never liked it when I did it so why is this an exception?
I have a feeling I know why...
"That would be great," he agreed, taking his phone out from his pocket as Allison did the same. I felt like a stalker when I watched them exchange numbers into each other's devices, and then hand them back to one another.
"I'll call you around eight, okay?" Allison told him, sliding her purse to hang from her shoulder.
"Sure, works for me," Ryan nodded.
She smiled, "And thanks for everything."
"It was no biggie! In fact, do you want a ride home?"
"You don't have to, I can just w-"
"-I want to," Ryan cut in. Allison paused and looked at him for a few seconds.
"Then..." she trailed off, biting her lip, "let's go."
-----
"Jamie!"
I heard my name coming from an angelic voice. It's been around fifteen minutes since Ryan left to drive Allison back to her house and since then, I've been laying on my bed lazily, the sheets tangled around my legs and my head resting on the mattress, not the pillows.
"Jamie, I-" Justin burst into my room and paused to look at my position, his hand still on the doorknob. "A-are you okay?"
I struggled to lift my head up and when I finally succeeded, my eyes met his. "Yeah... I'm just tired.." I said, rubbing my eyes. I have no idea where the sudden tiredness came from, I just know that laying in bed is like the best thing ever right now.
"Jamie..." he sighed, his hand dropping from the doorknob. "Do you want me to stay here?"
"Not really. I feel like I'll just bore you. All I'm doing is watching reruns of shows we've seen before," I shrugged, finally sitting up.
"I'm never bored when I'm with you," he said.
"That's a lie," I added, and he was silent for a moment.
After a while, he began to speak again, "It's different if we're bored together than if we're just bored being with each other."
"I guess..." I murmured, falling back onto the bed again. I looked up at the white ceiling and crossed my arms. Soon enough, I felt the bed lower as extra weight was added and soft hands made contact with my body. I looked down to see Justin crawling on top of me, only to finally wrap his arms around me.
He leaned in close to my face and kissed my cheek slowly, relaxing me. "I wanted to ask you something," he whispered in my ear. His husky voice made my heart flutter and I reached out to run a hand through his hair.
"Just ask," I prompted, twirling strands of his hair around my index finger. His lips remained hovering my cheek as the feel of his breath was making me feel better for some reason.
"Okay.. Well... Umm, I was wondering if you'd like to go with me to the ice rink we always used to go to when we were little," he said, and the minute he mentioned the ice rink, memories of us playing hockey and skating around after school flashed through my head. I subconsciously let out a smile as I looked down to stare in his eyes.
"Are you asking me out?" I questioned.
"Yeah," he nodded.
"On a date?"
"Yes."
"Our first real, official date?"
"That is correct."
My smile widened. "Well I'd love to go with you," I said, wrapping my arms around his neck. I pulled him towards me just a bit so that his hovering lips could crash against my cheek and I turned my head so that our lips now met and I kissed him softly. I felt his lips kissing me back as I ran a hand through his hair. A few seconds later he pulled away to look at me.
"And I love you," he smiled.

♥ Justin's POV: ♥
"Babe?"
I felt my body being shaken by two soft hands. I groaned and shifted in the bed, slowly opening my eyes. I was surprised to see that the room was still dark, and the light of the moon gave off an uncomfortably eerie feeling. I rubbed my eyes and then looked at my surroundings until my eyes settled on Jamie.
"What is it, babe?" I yawned, trying hard to stay awake. I stretched out my arms and then felt a strange déjà vu.
After a few seconds of Jamie not responding, I looked back at her to find she had been staring at me the entire time.
"What?" I asked again, confusion running through my brain. She still didn't say anything, and it suddenly hit me. "Cravings?" I said, watching her nod immediately.
I sighed, slipping the covers off my body and sitting up. "What is it that you're craving now?"
"Umm... a burger... a big juicy cheese burger," she said, her eyes glowing at the thought. I chuckled and stood up, looking for my shoes. I found them sprawled across the floor near the wall and was putting them on when Jamie asked a question. "Are you mad?"
I finished putting on the second shoe as I shot her a look of confusion. "That you're asking for food?"
"No... Well.. Yeah... But, that I'm waking you in the middle of the night for it," she said lowly. She was giving me her apologetic face and I rolled my eyes, playing up a smile.
"Baby," I cooed, walking towards her and wrapping both arms around her body from behind. I rested my chin on her shoulder and whispered in her ear, "I love you. And you know I'll do anything for you. You're not asking for much, you're just pregnant and you can't help it. Trust me, if you need anything I'm right here."
I felt her hands hug the arms that were wrapped around her. "I love you too," she said, and even in the dark, I could see that amazing smile of hers.
Next thing I know, I was outside her room and tip toeing downstairs just like before. I almost expected Phoebe to call my name again, and we would both go out at midnight to get Jamie food yet again. But she didn't spend the night this time... Chaz did.
And Chaz is a heavy sleeper. I highly doubt anything would wake him up, specially right n-
"Justin?"
I jumped up at the sudden voice, my heart racing fast. Turning around, I spotted Chaz at the top of the stairs, looking down at me.
"Holy shit, Chaz! You scared the crap out of me!!" I whisper-yelled.
"Sorry," he shrugged, looking more amused than apologetic. "But what are you doing?"
"Jamie's craving a burger," I explained simply.
"And you're gonna go get it for her?"
"Why shouldn't I?"
"I don't know... She has two legs, she can go get one herself," he muttered.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "But she's pregnant."
"Yeah, but not disabled."
I paused and stared at him, fighting back the urge to roll my eyes.
"Just kidding," he giggled to himself, and this time I didn't hesitate to actually roll my eyes.
"I know. Now see you later," I waved, turning around slowly.
"Wait!" he called, his footsteps approaching me. "I could use a burger too!"
I reached for the doorknob before turning back to look at him.
"I had a feeling you wanted to tag along," I smirked.
"Is it that obvious?" he asked, grinning.
"Yup, now leggo!"
Chaz and I quickly made our way out the front yard, finding my car parked right out front. I unlocked the doors and got in, slipping the key in the ignition. As I pulled into the road, Chaz's voice filled the car.
"So when is that date again?" he asked casually, putting on his seatbelt.
"The one Jamie and I are going on?" I asked for clarification.
"Yeah. When is it?"
"Why do you wanna know?" I wiggled my eyebrows.
"I'm just curious," he shrugged.
"Tomorrow," I answered, tapping my fingers against the steering wheel.
"Oh cool, can I come with?" he asked excitedly. Not only did I say no, I said..
"Hell no."
"Aww c'mon!" he pouted, slouching on the seat.
"It's our first real date as a couple. It really means a lot to us. I promise you can come with us somewhere another time, okay?" I tried to make him feel better.
"Fine," he sighed. "Plus, I know it is, I was just joking."
"Are you sure you just weren't giving it a shot?" I smirked.
"Well... I kinda was. Just in case you said yes," he laughed, causing me to roll my eyes... Again.
I stuck out my tongue at him and then focused back to the road, to get my babe what she craves.
