Ch. 23 - Was It The Right Choice?

< Chapter 23: Was It The Right Choice? >

♥ Justin's POV: ♥

I anxiously made my way backstage after my appearance on Ellen was done. I was happy I got that out of the way and told the truth, but I knew I would be faced with a hard time afterwards. So here I am, nervously looking for Scooter, who must be so pissed at me right now. I was making my way down a hall when I heard someone call my name.

"Justin..." the voice spoke from behind me, causing me to turn in its direction.

"S-Scooter," I stuttered, studying how he stood in disapproval, crossed arms and blank face. "I'm so sorry, I just couldn't lie to people anymore. I apologize but I think this is all so idiotic! She's my girlfriend, I love her and people should know that!"

"Justin..." he repeated my name in a calming voice. I stopped my ranting and listened to what he had to say. Butterflies swarmed violently all around my stomach as I stared at Scooter, desperate for him to say a word that's not my name.

But he only sighed and uncrossed his arms. I swear, there's a smile forming faintly on his lips. "I'm proud of you," he stated simply, leaving me extremely shocked with only those four words.

"Y-you're... You're wha-??" I stumbled over my words, gazing at him in confusion.

"I'm proud of you, kid, I mean... You did the right thing. I didn't like this whole rule either, it was mostly Usher's fault and whatnot. You're becoming a great young man and I'm super proud," his smile was more evident and he pulled me in for a hug. The butterflies in my stomach vanished and I began smiling too. Maybe after Usher's wrath, things would turn out alright.

"Thank you, it means a lot," I replied, once our hug was over.

"I'm glad, but we should get going now before paparazzi swarm the studio," he suggested.

"Smart idea. Leggo," I nod, and we walked together towards the limo. Kenny waited near the exit and with one smile from him, I knew that he already knows about what happened in the interview. He gave me a thumbs up and I attacked him with a hug.

"Nicely done, Bieber," he teased, ruffling my hair.

"Oh my god, Kenny, watch the hair," I teased back, fixing my hair back to looking sexy. He rolled his eyes and led me outside where a lot of paparazzi already showed up.

S. H. I. T, what does that spell? Shit.

"Crap, they're fast," Scooter murmured and all three of us looked out at the crowded area. I spotted the limo nearby, but it didn't look too easy to get there.

"Alright guys, follow my lead. Scooter, I'll call Moshe and he's gonna escort you out through here. Meanwhile, let me get Justin into the limo safely through the back exit, sound good?" Kenny instructed.

"Yes, sir," Scooter nodded, then turned to me, "Alright, kid, promise me you'll keep your mouth shut this time and don't answer any of the paps. Got it?" he spoke carefully.

"Don't worry about a thing, Scooter," I winked, and Kenny grabbed my arm, pulling me towards the back exit. Geez, feisty!

We walked a few halls and turns here and there until we successfully got out from the back door and the space was all clear of paparazzi's. I followed Kenny cautiously and everything was running smoothly until we made another turn and became face to face with a group of paparazzi's. Damn it!

"Be quick," I heard Kenny say and he began walking faster. I followed real closely behind as we pushed through the crowd of people and camera flashes blinded me slowly.

"Justin!"

"JUSTIN, over here!"

"Can you answer a few questions, Justin!?"

"Justin, where is this Jamie girl?"

"Why haven't we heard from Selena?"

Questions were shouted constantly and I kept my mouth shut as I was instructed. I ran behind Kenny and was so close to the limo but was suddenly pushed violently by something or someone and I jerked forward head first. Before I could hit the ground, a pair of arms caught me and I opened my eyes to see I was face to face with the ground. The person pulled me back up on my two feet and I saw Kenny staring at me with worry.

"You okay?" he asked.

"Yeah, thanks, can we please get out of here now?" I pleaded, now frustrated. Paps can never fucking leave me the hell alone.

"Of course, just come quickly, we're literally almost there," he explained and I picked up my pace and followed him until we were both safely inside the limo. I sighed of relief and before I could ask where Scooter was, I heard a voice in front of me.

"Good, you two made it," Scooter's head popped from behind the window thingy.

"You made it, too," Kenny grinned as the chauffeur started up the limousine.

We all drifted to a conversation on what had happened and I zoned off during the middle of it, thinking about what I just did back there on the interview and what's in store for Jamie and I in the future due to this. Was it a mistake? Was it something I shouldn't have done? Should I have listened and lied again? Did I do the right thing? Are things going to get easier from here?

One can only hope so.

-----

We arrived in front of Jamie's house from America and back to Canada. I have to admit, I always get this amazing feeling every time I see her house. It gives me the feeling that I'm home, and that this is where I belong.

Scooter and Kenny dropped me off and told me they'll be back tomorrow for the concert. It was back in LA and I would be staying in a hotel room since I was performing the next day as well and then I have that Meet & Greet. It means quality time with Beliebers while missing my Jamie.

Anyway, I climbed up the front porch steps with my bag and rang the doorbell. It was night by now, possibly 8pm to be more specific. The stars always looked beautiful out here. I looked across to the house next to this one and smiled at the sight of my childhood home. My mom is staying over at my Grandparents for a while so she wouldn't have to be there all by herself. Maybe she can come visit soon enough.

The sound of the doorknob turning snapped me out of my thoughts and I saw the door swing open. I only got a glimpse of Jamie's face before she jumped on me without any warning, wrapping her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck. I stumbled backwards and fell on the floor with a grunt. I felt Jamie's lips crash into mine as she kissed me tenderly. I instantly adjusted and my hands wandered to her butt, holding her in place even though we now laid on the floor.

After a while, she pulled away and looked into my eyes. "I fucking love you," she smiled wide and I grinned at her.

"Babe, you saw the interview?" I asked.

"Of course, doofus."

"You're not mad?"

"Of course not! You told me you love me in front of the entire world, I just wished I could've said it right back. Plus, why do you think I would break my own rule of cursing just to tell you I love you?" she said, pecking my lips.

"I love you, too princess," I leaned in, kissing her mouth once more. She slid her tongue in and we began making out as she straddled me on the floor. After what felt like forever, realization hit me and I pulled away. "Wait, aren't your parents home?"

She shook her head, "No, my Dad is visiting a friend and my mom left recently to do some shopping. Mainly for food but she still takes a while."

"Oh," I smiled, looking into her eyes that were full of lust. She ran her hands through my hair in that loving manner I've always loved and then stood up and blushed.

"Sorry for attacking you," she giggled and I laughed, standing from my position on the ground.

"It's okay, babe. It was an interesting welcome," I winked. She chuckled and grabbed my hand, pulling me inside the house and closing the front door. She walked midway across the living room before turning to face me again.

"We've got that double date with Phoebe and this Noah guy," she smiled.

"Oh really?! When is it? I'm actually excited," I smirked, following to where she stood.

"Tomorrow night," she answered with excitement. My smile faded and I stared at her in disappointment.

"Tomorrow?" I asked.

She nodded, "Yup."

"Babe, I can't. I have that concert tomorrow, remember? All the tickets are already sold out, I can't let my fans down," I explained, watching how her mood of happiness didn't change.

"You're not," she grinned, digging in her pockets and pulling out two tickets to... My concert? "I bought us three tickets to see my sexy boyfriend. We're all watching you perform and then we can go get some dinner or something."

"Seriously? This is great!" My smile appeared back on my face. "That means you're coming with me to LA!"

"Along with Phoebe and Noah," she winked.

"No way!!" I said, unable to contain my excitement. "You can even stay at the hotel with me."

"That sounds great!" she smiled, and I picked her up, twirling her around as I kissed her softly in her amazing heaven-like lips.

"Love you," I whispered, putting her back down.

"Love you, too, dork."

"So I'm a dork and a doofus?"

"But you're still sexy," she winked.

Just wanted to do a quick update.

Oh and the first person to vote and comment what they think or want to happen in the story gets a dedication <3

Make it exciting!!! Can you feel the excitement yet?

Oh, I must've had too much coffee. But I didn't even drink any..

ANYWAY, love you all! Thanks for sticking with the story so far <3

Should I hold a character interview? It's when you ask the fictional characters in this story some questions and I hold a separate chapter of them answering.
