Ch. 5 - The Most Glorious Thing
< Chapter 5: The Most Glorious Thing >
♥ Selena’s POV: ♥
“Where were you?” I mumbled, leaning back on my chair.
“What?”
I cleared my throat and glared at him. “Did I stutter?” I opened a new stick of lip palm and began to smother it across my lips. “I said… Where. Were. You?”
“I ran a little late,” Nathan sighed, sitting on the chair across from me.
“Why?” I suddenly leaned forwards, facing him.
“Didn’t you see it?” he lowered his voice, almost as if he were upset.
“See what?” I was growing impatient.
“Justin Douche-bag Bieber is back in business. He just finished a brand new interview a while ago.”
I did a double take. “He was? Then why is it that I haven’t heard such a thing?”
“You’re missing the point,” Nathan waved off my question. “Guess who was on it?” I simply stared at him, shrugging in curiosity before he answered me. “Jamie.”
“Jamie? Jamie was in the interview?” I asked in shock.
“Yeah, she and Justin were both doing the talking,” Nathan growled lowly.
“Do you know what this means?” I sighed in frustration. “We’re going to have to get into action sooner than I had thought.”
“You mean—?”
“—Yes, I do.”
Nathan paused and narrowed his eyes at me, seeming suspicious at my sudden remark.
“Do we have everything planned out? I would’ve thought we’d give more time into this,” he spoke calmly.
“I have a few ideas. All we have to do is incorporate them into one, genius masterpiece,” I smirked. “Here, let me get my notebook. I even have it all drawn out.”
“That was quick,” Nathan mumbled.
“I was on a killing spree of ideas. You’re going to love ‘em and help me adjust them to be perfect. Unlike worrying what they’re up to, Nathan, I like to get things done. I’d like this whole plan to be the most glorious thing to happen to us both.”
“Sorry,” he breathed out, standing up and grabbing my notebook. He flipped through the pages patiently, gazing at each idea thoroughly.
“So what do you say, Nathan?” I grinned. “Shall we get started?”
He looked up at me slowly, slamming the notebook closed and putting it down. “How about we have some fun first?”
I raised an eyebrow at him. “Some fun?”
He began pacing back and forth, an amused smirk on his face. “Justin’s having a concert tonight. It’s his first time doing one since he’s been back in business. I already planned ahead on this, so don’t worry about how we’re going to do it. Let’s just worry about if we’re doing this thing or not.”
I crossed my legs, resting my elbow on the arm of the chair. “Then let’s hear this master plan of yours.”

♥ Ryan’s POV: ♥
“They said no,” Allison said quietly, scared to speak any louder.
“No?” my heart shattered. “You can’t move in with me?”
Allison slowly shook her head disapprovingly. “I’m sorry, Ryan. I really, really am. I hate this just as much as you do but I can’t do anything about it.”
“It’s not your fault,” I murmured, trying my hardest not to break out in tears. I sat down on my couch and stared at the ground, unsure of what to do next. It felt as if my whole life was stripped of any meaning. The girl I love is being taken from me and, as hard as I’ve tried, it seems as if life is trying to push us away from each other, as if it wasn’t meant to be.
What if I want it to be? I love Allison so much and I can’t just move on from all the love she’s nurtured me with.
“We’ll keep in contact,” she whispered, leaning down to look at me. “I promise.”
I sighed, running a hand through my face before locking gazes with her. “When do you leave?”
She was hesitant at first, but she eventually sat down next to me and rested her head on my shoulder, grabbing my arm for support. “My dad and I discussed it. He thinks it’s best if we leave as soon as possible. They’ve already begun to pack pretty much everything. I’d say I have a good two weeks before I’m completely gone.”
I landed a hand on her lap, trying to comfort her but I knew that deep inside, I was in much more need of comfort. “Then we’ll spend all of them together. Let’s make our last memories of each other good ones. It’s the least we could do.”
“I agree,” Allison nodded, a sad smile plastered across her lips. We then fell into a slightly awkward silence. None of us spoke to each other, but we embraced our bodies tighter than ever.

♥ Justin’s POV: ♥
“Did you know… That lemons contain more sugar than strawberries?” I glared playfully at the eyes of my son, who looked at me as if I were talking shit, in which I probably was. “Or that bears have 42 teeth in their mouths?” I brushed my thumb against Jason’s small lips. “Or that Elvis Presley’s middle name was Aron?” I paused, playing with his cute little toes. “This one’s my favorite,” I smirked, watching as he cooed in curiosity. “Did you know that the first letters of the months July through November spell your name? July… August… September… October… November…” I forced a gasp for dramatic effect. “That’s J.A.S.O.N!”
Jason let out a squeal and the most glorious thing happened. The curves at the ends of his lips widened across his cheek and he… He smiled.
I gasped the loudest I’ve ever gasped in my life and screamed at the top of my lungs for my fiancée. “JAMIE!!!”
I heard something drop from the kitchen in our hotel room.
“JAMIEEEE!!!!”
“JESUS, JUSTIN WHAT?!” Jamie’s voice was heard through the halls. I let out a chuckle before screaming again.
“JAMIE!! JAMIE!! BABY, GET YO ASS OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!! IT’S AN EMERGENCY.”
I looked back down at Jason, my heart beating loudly inside my chest and if I could read a baby’s mind right now, he’d probably be saying, “aye daddy, what the fuck are you doing, calm the fuck down.”
I gently held his cheeks in both my hands and kissed his forehead just as Jamie ran into the room.
“You just made me drop my plate,” she pouted. “This better be good.”
I immediately turned around and locked gazes with her. “Babe, Jason just showed his first smile!” Excitement thrilled inside my voice and I couldn’t help but feel all giddy inside.
Jamie’s eyes nearly bolted out of their sockets.
“What?! I missed his first smile?!” there was happiness and disappointment in her tone.
“It was beautiful… It was r—” I cut myself short, unable to finish my sentence. I didn’t exactly know how to describe it. It was way too special for words, it had to be seen.
Jamie blinked at me three times before approaching Jason on the baby seat and leaning so that they were eye-level. “Hey baby,” Jamie cooed at him, nuzzling her nose against his and giving him and eskimo kiss. She tickled his tummy, running her fingers to the side of his belly and Jason let out the most endearing, magnificent laugh, causing both Jamie and I to freeze. It was the most beautiful thing Jamie and I have ever seen and heard in our lives.
“He… He laughed,” Jamie whispered. When I turned to look at her, I noticed tears surfacing her eyes, and I had no doubt in my mind that I was about to cry the same way she was.
Happy tears.
At the same exact time, Jamie and I both leaned in to kiss Jason’s cheeks, me taking his left cheek and her taking his right. Jason just reached his hands out at us in excitement, kicking his legs all over the place and smiling like the cutest thing ever.
“I love you, my beautiful boy,” Jamie sobbed in happiness, caressing the back of his head.
“So do I, Lil J,” I added, smiling like a retard. We were then all looking at each other with smiles on our faces before Jamie gasped, suddenly realizing something.
“Justin!” she faced me with concern written across her face. “Isn’t Kenny going to pick you up for your concert in like 20 minutes?”
I looked at the clock and saw it was 5:41pm.
“Oh shit,” I murmured under my breath. “I’m going to take a quick shower, okay?”
“Okay, I’ll make you a sandwich so you won’t be hungry on the way there,” Jamie nodded, pulling me towards her and kissing me on the cheek before pushing me towards the bathroom. “Now get that sexy ass to work pronto!”
“Yes ma’am,” I smirked, winking at her before closing the door shut and quickly stripping myself of my clothes. I started the shower and got in, quickly washing the dirt off my body and finishing in around ten minutes. I wrapped a towel around my lower area and rushed to Jamie and I’s room. When I saw that Jason was no longer on the baby seat, I figured Jamie must’ve taken him with her so he wouldn’t be left alone while I was busy.
I rapidly put on a new, fresh pair of clothes and shoved my shoes onto my feet before doing my hair as fast as I could to make it look swaggy and finally heading out the room.
“You’ll be right here when I get back, right?” I asked out loud, knowing Jamie could hear me as I walked into the kitchen.
“You bet I will,” she smiled up at me and I noticed she was holding Jason with one arm and bringing out my plate, with the sandwich on top, with the other. “And here you go. A sandwich made from love.”
“That’s the best kind of sandwich,” I kissed her on her beautiful, plump lips before sneaking a quick kiss towards Jason too and finally sitting down to eat my sandwich. When I was halfway done, my phone began to ring and, seeing Kenny’s name on the caller I.D, Jamie picked it up.
“Hello?” she spoke into the receiver, waiting for an answer. “Yeah he’s right here…. You want him to come down?….. Alright, bye Kenny.”
She hung up and gave me a simple nod, one in which I already understood what it meant.
“Good luck, baby,” she smiled, just as I finished eating.
“Thank you.” I wrapped my arms around her and planted another kiss on her addicting, soft lips. “Tell Jason that daddy loves him when you tuck him in at night.”
“Will do,” she giggled, and I waved my family goodbye before exiting out the hotel suite. I walked down the hallway and pressed the elevator button before waiting for the doors to open. When it did, I saw Kenny standing there, shocked to see that I was right in front of him.
“What a coincidence,” he chuckled.
“You were coming up to get me?” I smirked, stepping inside the elevator.
“Who said that getting out of here would be easy?” he playfully nudged my elbow.
“What, are the beliebers crowding the outside?”
“Is that surprising?”
“Not really,” I smiled.
“Then let’s go. We don’t want to be late.”
The elevator dropped us off at the floor beneath the lobby, making it easier for us to exit unseen. We made our way around the back, ending up in the parking lot where Scooter was waiting for us in the black van. Though the fans were blocked from the area, Kenny and I still made a run for it and we managed to make it in safely.
“Hey Justin,” Scooter turned and smiled at me.
I smiled back. “Ey Scooter.”
“Did you kiss Jamie and Jason goodbye?” he winked and I felt my cheeks slowly turn red.
“Yeah, I did,” I nodded, forcing a chuckle before playing with my thumbs. I couldn’t help but smile to myself as I shook my head, my skin growing warmer.
“The kid’s in love,” Kenny teased, and Scooter decided to play along.
“The kid’s got a kid,” he added.
“The kid’s a man now, don’t you think?” Kenny dramatically rubbed his chin, causing Scooter to laugh.
“He may be, but he will always be a kid to me.” Scooter looked straight into my eyes and the way his smile widened let me know that he really was proud of me. He was proud of the man I was becoming, the girl I got keeping my life on track and the baby she and I made together. I thought that adding an unexpected baby into my life was going to cause my fame quite the hectic media, but the truth is… My life is the best it can be right now and it’s all thanks to the woman of my dreams. She gave me the opportunity to become a father and I’m not letting her or our son down. I’ve got triple the responsibility: being a celebrity, husband-to-be and father, all at the same time. It can be hard to have a family on the spotlight at all times, but I’m not worried. We’ll just take things one step at a time, because it’s the way it has always been done anyway.
“We’re here,” Kenny’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts, and I began to wonder for how long I was trapped in my own little world.
Soon, the three of us arrived backstage at my show and the minute I heard my beliebers screaming as loud as they possibly could, the adrenaline began to kick in.
I rushed to change to my All Around The World outfit and people were rushing around the place to get the show started. The screaming fans grew louder and louder as the countdown clock began to get closer and closer to zero. People ran over to help me get set up on the wings machine that lifts me up to the stage in these giant wings. I put on my sunglasses and fixed the bottom of my shirt before I heard sparks going off on stage, which meant the screens were displaying the introduction to the show. I was beginning to be lifted into the air and, before I knew it, I was being put down on stage in front of the large wave of fans. As two of my dancers helped me off the wings, the cheering and excitement filled the entire arena and I got goosebumps on my arms, already pumped and ready. With the swing of my hand, signaling to begin, I screamed, “Let’s go!”
All Around The World began playing and the dancers got into position. The fans were going crazy and, as I breathed in the air around me, I realized just then how much I missed performing for my fans. This is what I love doing, and I just can’t stay away from doing what I love for too long.
----
After I sang Baby, the show was officially over. I was backstage, changing into regular clothing when I heard my phone buzz. I quickly fixed my shoes and grabbed my phone off the table, gazing down at the screen.
1 New Message.
Confused, I opened the text message and realized immediately that it was from an unknown number. I bit my lip and read it carefully:
Hey Justin. It’s me again. You know exactly who I am but I bet you’re still pretty confused right now. Well I’ll clear all that up for you. Just come to the room at the very back end of the hallway. It’s backstage, and it’s in the hallway you go through to get out to the parking lot. I’ll be waiting for you for ten minutes. If you don’t come, I’ll just be leaving then.
I stared at the text for what felt like hours, trying to figure out who it was from before I eventually gave up and locked my phone, slipping it inside my left pocket.
“Justin, you ready to go?” Scooter asked me, motioning towards the door. I opened my mouth to reply, but nothing came out. After a short pause, I finally answered him.
“Yeah.. Um.. Let me just go to the bathroom real quick,” I spoke slowly.
“Uh, sure. Kenny and I will just wait for you right here,” he nodded. I gave him a small smile before practically running out the door, rushing through a few hallways before I reached the final door to the parking lot. I turned to the right and reached the end to, indeed, find a door there. I assumed this room is just used to store stuff, which just means it’s the perfect place for this unknown person to try and want to meet with me. My only thought is that this is a fan trying to get my attention, but something inside of me is saying that this isn’t the case.
Turning the doorknob nervously, the door swung open and the only thing I saw inside was darkness. Gulping, I switched the lights on and the minute I saw who was standing in front of me, I was ready to punch a bitch.
“Looks like you made it,” Nathan’s dreadful voice rang in my ears.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” I enunciated every word, making sure he understood me perfectly.
“I wanted to come surprise the person I hate the most in the entire world,” he gave me a sickening smile.
“How’d you even get in here?” I growled lowly.
“Chill out, man. I got a backstage pass,” he grinned, holding up the pass with my name on it, wrapped around his neck.
“You bought a ticket to my concert?” I asked suspiciously.
“I, personally, would never buy anything to support your damn career,” he scoffed. “Someone else paid for it. Someone else who would always support you no matter how much you may hate them. This person didn’t know my plan at first, but decided to pay me back once I had spoken to them.”
“Who is this person?” I almost whispered.
“Not important,” he twirled the backstage pass on his finger. “What is important is why I’m here in the first place.”
My hands formed tight fists as I glared at him. “Then tell me why you’re here before I punch the words out of you.”
“I’m not scared of you, Bieber. I know you think I am, but I’m not. Get that inside your dumbass brain.”
“Answer me!” I yelled, the anger rushing through my veins. I took a threatening step towards him and he raised his hands up in defense.
“I’m just here for a friendly reminder,” he grinned in amusement. “I’m here to remind you that I will take the thing that matters most to you. Or should I say… The person that matters most to you.”
“Jamie will never settle for you. Ever,” I sneered.
“On the contrary, Bieber, I went through all the trouble of getting a damn backstage pass to your fucking concert just to tell you that I will succeed. I’m not through with you, I’m not just going to walk away from Jamie. She will be mine. In other words, I came all the way here to warn you. To tell you to enjoy your little family of 3 while you still have it, because I’m going to be the one to rip them away from you so you’d be a family of 1. I’ll leave you with nothing and you’ll finally be sorry for everything you’ve ever done to me.”
I narrowed my eyes at him, trying with every single inch of my body not to punch that smirk off his face.
“Y-You… Want to take Jason too?” I asked him, and I almost slapped myself for letting all that vulnerability slip from my tone.
“I don’t have to try. I’m going to make her hate you. She’ll be mine and she’s going to hate you so much, she wouldn’t dare leave her son to grow up with someone like you.”
“He’s my son too!” I yelled.
“Who do you think can easily gain custody between the two of you, huh? She’s the one who gave birth to him. Who went through all that pain. And you’re the one with this life. Life with fame. Who do you think the court’s going to pick?”
“And what makes you so sure of yourself?” I clenched and unclenched my fists.
“Like I said,” he took off the backstage pass from around his neck, “I’m just here to warn you.”
He ripped the pass into two shreds and threw it to the ground below me before casually walking off towards the exit.
“Where are you going?!” I screamed at him, my voice echoing down the hallway he was walking on. I definitely wasn’t done with him.
“To wherever I came from,” he waved me off, not bothering to even look back at me before completely exiting the building through the back door.
