11: The Black Narcissus

"I see many things." Lucifer's voice rang annoyingly true.

"Do you see the black narcissus?" You pointed at the offending flower.

"Oh, I suppose. Should it not be that color?" He rolled onto his side to look at your face, with his usual blase expression.

"No, it shouldn't." You sat up. "I should go look at it. I hope it isn't a sickness that could spread to my trees."

Lucifer's face changed behind your back to that of an evil smile. He almost laughed, even, but he knew better. He wanted to have you, but he didn't necessarily want to take you unwillingly. So he was going to take his chances and infuse you with someone who did want to follow him.

As you walked up to this strange flower, you hesitated. Something felt off...

"Are you okay? What's wrong?" Lucifer called out as he rolled onto his stomach. It took a lot of mental prowess to wipe the smile off of his face.

"Nothing... nothing..." You shook your head, trying to get rid of the feeling. What could come from this odd flower? Really, it couldn't be anything too bad. At least that's what you were trying to tell yourself.

Approaching the flower, you crouched down and reached out to touch it.

"Ouch!" You tried to retract your finger, which was inside of the petals. But instead of getting it back, the flower came out with you. A mound of grass began rising up, scaring you enough that you fell onto your back. You looked back at Lucifer as you screamed.

"YN!" He put a look of surprise on his face and pretended to scramble to get up. But this was an act. He had planned all of this to the very last second.

Then, your vision went black.

Lucifer took his time walking over to you, watching to make sure Persephone followed his directions. Once he got to your writhing body, he sat back down and held you in his lap.

"Don't touch her brain, Persephone. Don't you dare." He growled as he held your seizing form in his large, accommodating lap and began stroking your hair. "I think I should like your hair however you liked to wear it. And I don't think you should have a price." He took the opportunity to look at your body. It was covered in a white, light, flowing robe, but what he did see he enjoyed. It was tempting to peak beneath and see what treasure awaited him, but if you were to wake it could ruin everything. This was going to be a game of trust and manipulation-- something Satan could do very well.

It was taking quite a while for you to wake up and he worried that your body had lost the battle against Persephone. But if it had, wouldn't Persephone have woken up by now? He examined your face closely and looked for the usual signs of life.

And then, finally, your body's eyes fluttered opened. He looked at them curiously, trying to get a sense if he was successful or not.

"L-Lucifer?"
