Chapter 2

I walked to the office and stopped in front of the door. I knocked on it and entered without even getting an answer.

"Yeah?" I asked.

Jack was standing in front of the window in the back of the room. He looked to me, "(Y/N) come here and stand beside me." He said. I walked past the chairs and desk and stood beside him.

"Look outside." He said.

Confused to why he's making me do this, I still looked outside. I could see the Shimada brothers and Zenyatta meditating in the green grass in one area. Jesse was laying against a tree probably taking a nap in another area, and I could see Lucio and Fareeha playing a little game of soccer in another.

"Everyone here has a role (Y/N), it's what makes them who they are." He said. Jack looked at me, "You still have yours to find." He said. I looked up at Jack, "What is it anyway?" I asked. Jack shrugged, "Honestly, at your age, it's not easy to find out what you want to become, what your role should be." He said.

Silence, it seemed awkward to me, probably because whenever Jack and I are at the same place, it just lead to questioning and arguing.

"You know, when I was younger, I was a farm boy." He suddenly said. I raised an eyebrow at him, but he continued, "When I became 18, I learned that farming wasn't always what I wanted to do like my parents did, so I joined the military. I found that I had high standards for it, and I continued that, that's how I figured out my role." He said.

"No offense, but what does that have anything to do with me?" I asked. Jack looked to me, "You don't always have to follow what your parents did, there's a reason you don't know what your parents do. I just want to keep you safe." He said.

From what? I thought with a frown.

"I hope that someday, you'll know your role here in Overwatch, maybe you can become a leader." Jack said. I slowly nodded, "I guess I can." I said. Jack nodded back to me.

"Why can't I go into the ocean?" I asked earning a sigh from Jack.

"Something happened to your mother, something I'll never forgive myself for." Jack said. Jack grew firm, "We made a promise to take care of you, keeping you away from danger  is out top priority, I hope maybe someday you'll understand." Jack said. I sighed, "Sure." I muttered. I turned away, "I'm gonna go to my room, see you later Jack." I said before leaving.

Man just when I thought I was going to get my answers, he just confused me even more! What happened to my mom?! What does it have to do with the ocean?! What was my mom's job?!

I grabbed my hair and had the urge to pull it out for how crazy I was feeling right now. I want answers so bad! Is that so much to ask!?

"It is if you're someone named (Y/N)." Said a voice.

I looked and saw Angela. I blushed and scratched the back of my beck embarrassingly, "Must've said that one at loud." I said. Angela laughed with a nod, "Loud and clear." She said.

Angela walked up to me, "You may not be able to go to the ocean, but that's not any excuse to not going outside, you're getting paler and paler!" Angela said ruffling my hair.

I swat her hand away with a smile, "You're exaggerating, I look the same!" I said.

"Indeed, I hate seeing you like this, stressing yourself out." Angela said. I rolled my eyes, "Wouldn't have to if I knew something that involved my mom." I said.

Angela softly smiled, "Look, maybe you'll get your answers someday, maybe even sooner, you're 16, I think it's the right age for you to have the answers you want." Angela placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Give them time, it was really hard for them, for all of us." Angela said. I sighed, "I guess so, I wasn't the one who knew her well. " I said. "Your mother was a big part of the group, we only have you to remember her by, you look just like her." Angela said before walking away.

I groaned, "But I'm not her." I said.

I continued to walk towards my room. My room's not as different from before, since it used to belong to my mom. I seemed to be getting everything my mom owned, I guess it meant less work to do for me.

I entered and the first thing I did was walk to another room, enter my bed and plop down on it. I gave the loudest scream I could, helps me calm down I should say.

I sat up and gave a huff before fixing my hair and sitting cross legged on the bed. I looked at my surroundings, no matter how many times I look, I can't help but feel this room didn't belong to me as much as it belonged to Mom.

The room was mostly blue and white, and other tints of blue and so forth. Whatever taste my mom had, wasn't exactly my taste, I enjoy more of (F/C), or (S/F/C).

I've always wondered what my mom really was like. How she acted around everyone. Who she was the closest too. What were her crushes before father!

I suddenly giggled at another thought. Who had crushes on my mom. I mean if it was Jack, the Jack Morrison, that had a crush on my mom, I'd probably die from lack of oxygen.

I snorted and placed my hand on the bed before I felt something like paper. I looked down to see indeed a folded piece of paper. I raised an eyebrow and grabbed the paper. Quickly unfolding it, a note was written.

"Come meet me at the entrance of the ocean, I promise you won't get as much trouble." ~Ana
