Having technical difficulties. . .  but please still enjoy and again sorry. Now let's jump back into the story shall we?

L O U I S

The morning started off slowly but once I had my morning coffee or tea then I was set for anything. We had gotten home pretty late yesterday writing and recording songs. Today was my day to relax. I slowly sipped my tea as I watched Liam and Harry come to the kitchen.

"Aren't you the early riser?" Liam said half yawning throughout his sentence.

I nodded and smiled while enjoying my tea. I looked out the window. Big Bentley stood tall and proud in the city of bustling people moving all at once, coming in waves in and out of the city. Big Bentley was nice to look at in the mornings, it reminded you that you were home. You weren't in a van or a plane or a bus. You had a proper bed. A proper bed always calls for proper sleep.

"She's a beauty isn't she?" Harry said sitting beside me.

"Yeah, its good to be home again. Going to different places makes you forget where you came from." I said eating my toast with a spread of jam on top.

After devouring my toast, Niall came down to the kitchen. Speaking of Niall, he went to sleep later than we did. I know because I could hear him say things through the wall. Since we have our rooms back to back, its easy to eavesdrop and hear things from wall to wall that we wouldn't want to hear necessarily. I wonder if it has to do anything with that girl of his. I was happy for Niall, he had finally found someone he was clingy and possessive about. Every time we would mention her, Niall was the first to listen. Sometimes we would even tease him about it.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. Instinctively, I pulled it out to see who it was. My face was unamused when I saw it was Eleanor. Recently, me and Eleanor have been a little distant. I don't know whether its me or its her. we've been going for a while now but something in stomach tells me that something is wrong. Eleanor hasn't texted me for 3 days now. This was quite abnormal for her. She would usually text me everyday. . . Now its more like 2 times a week. Maybe I am just imagining things and Eleanor has decided to give me space. Nonetheless, I respond to her message.

Eleanor: Morning babe!

Louis: Morning El, sleep well?

Eleanor: I slept wonderfully. . .What about you?

Louis: I slept like a baby.

As I started texting Eleanor, Niall started inching closer and closer to me. I could notice from the corner of my eye, how he slowly made his way closer and closer to me.

"Morning Louis." Niall greeted as he sat beside me with his plate in hand.

"Morning Niall." I stated putting my phone down.

Niall looked at me as he took a seat, "I need a favor Louis."

I looked at him as he quietly handed me a 50 dollar bill, sliding over the wooden tabletop.

"Whats this for?" I asked intuitively as I flipped the bill and examined it.

"I have another press conference and I need you to use these fifty dollars to get some flowers and balloons and then you are going to go see her for me. Please."  Niall said hopefully.

I looked at him and sighed before debating whether to do it or not. I looked at the fifty dollar bill and then at Niall. His eyes were focused on my response. His irises inching with hope. He really cared about this girl. He really wanted me to do this. After my mind toyed around with my thoughts and doubts, I decided I would indeed help Niall out. It was all he could do now. Besides, I didn't have anything better to do. Today was our break day, and now that I think about it, fresh air sounds very tempting at the moment.

"Alright Niall, I'll do it. Where is she at?" I said as Niall's releaved face turned into a smile.

"Thanks Louis, I knew I could count on you." Niall chirped making me smile.

I nodded, "Your welcome. I'll go get ready. "

Niall replied, "Here. You'll need this special pass to get through. Call me when you get there. "

I nodded, "You got it."

Niall's POV

I had left a few hours with my conversation with Louis. At first he didn't seem find of it, but after a while, he slowly got around to it. During the time I stood there infront of reporters and bustling people, I couldn't but feel distraught that I had to say time after time that me and Ruby weren't a thing and that I didn't feel the way I feel for her right now.

The way I feel about Ruby is nothing short of butterflies inside me that propel me. They invigorate me. They make me feel alive. Denying that is some sort of a sin. Something that I wish I never have to do again. Something I wish I couldn't do but have to due to my occupation.

Being 1/5 of One Direction isn't easy. You get to sing and listen to your music on the radio and you have fans and get money but what about you past life? Your normal friends? Your family? Your decisions? All that puts my job in jeopardy if it isn't the right decision. It frustrates me sometimes. Sometimes I have to do certain things for the sake of my job. For the sake of being Superstar Niall Horan, 1/5 of One Direction. I would love to just take a chance sometime and be Niall from Mullingar. Thinking about a past life that sometimes seems relatively better than your new one is somewhat paranoid. Its nostalgia but you realize that the person you were back then, isn't the person you are right now.

The chattering voices on reporters became evident as the sound rang through my ear drums. There were camera flashes here and there but it got annoying as to how much things these reporters make up about you. They personally don't know me, which is why I hate press conferences.

"Mr. Horan, there were speculations that you were pretty close to this mysterious woman? Was this a one night stand?" the woman asked.

I looked at her in shock. Unbelieveable. These reporters are really something. I would never do something like that to her. These reporters assume everything. They assume we did something, we haven't even started dating yet! How could they? They think that just because I hug or touch someone, it means something beyond that happened. I'm a wee Irish man just trying to look for the perfect somebody that lights up my world and life. Someone I can settle down with and maybe have wee little children running around a house. Is that so much to ask? For a superstar, that is asking for the world. . .

"Aren't you guys dirty? " I said right at the reporter who asked the stupid question.

She stood aback from my words before waiting for my response.

"I've already answered that question. She was a fan, there was no physical contact. " I said at her.

These reporters would do anything to pry it out of me however. The next hour was spent on them trying to make me change my response. But, I didn't nudge or budge. My response didn't change. It was the truth.

"Look, I've said before. My response hasn't changed. We didn't do anything and we weren't anything. So the rumours are all wrong. We appreciate our fans and that dinner was just an experience that lucky fan will remember for the rest of her life. We don't want it to scar her for the rest of her life so please, don't ruin this for her sake." I said practically giving them a mini speech.

I was constant of my phone. I told the truth and I was proud that I could at least speak my mind on that one matter. I don't want the world the scar her for that.  The only lie I said was that I didn't love her. I did love her. I know it sounds stupid to everyone else, but not to me. This was as serious as the meaning of music to me.

I'm not going to give her up. I felt that spark. Butterflies made me feel the way I feel. Only I know what I feel and what I feel, isn't fake. Not this time.

I stood down and left the stage only seeing Simon take the stage and answer a few more questions for me since I was obviously ticked off. It pissed me off how much those people make a living on stretching the truth on someone else's reputation.

I don't know how they sleep at night. I don't know how I can stay calm. I was internally huffing. All I was waiting for is that phone call. That one phone call.

Louis's POV

I had finally made it to the facility. I was impressed. This facility didn't look like what it was meant to be. It was peaceful. It had sort of a zen like feeling. It was strange that I didn't see a hippy whatsoever through out the area though. That would've just been ironic. I watched the waves roll back and crash onto land. Some patients were already outside enjoying the nice weather. A nice breeze gusted up nostrils.

That's what it is like to be free. Paul drove me to the facility before teasing, "So zen dude."

I laughed as he imitated a hippie sorta voice and vibe. Never let it be said he wasn't a good actor. An actor he was. A drama queen, not so much. As we made it inside, we talked to the front desk. The nurse seemed to know why I was here since I barely said a word before she replied saying, "Right this way."

I didn't even get to flash out the pass Niall gave me. I guess they knew that Niall and the boys would eventually come and visit her. These people were always prepared.

The nurse led me towards the doctor's office before saying, "He will be here in a few minutes. Please wait here."

The silence was peaceful yet haunting. It hasn't been this quiet since before I auditioned for the X-Factor. Its nice to have peace and quiet every once in a while. Its almost like therapy.

"Mr. Tomilson?" Dr. Walker said and I stood up almost immediately.

"Dr. Walker. " I said half smiling as I shook his hand.

"I take it Mr. Horan couldnt make it. Could he?" He asked pushing his glasses up to the bridge of his nose.

"No, and for that he is sorry. How is she?"I asked hopefully getting the chance to see her and cutting to the chase.

Dr. Walker replied, "I'm sorry but you won't be able to see her today. We are doing tests today."

"Oh." I trailed off.

Dr. Walker added, "She has been more fidgety the last couple days. She hasn't woken up yet."

After talking to Dr. Walker, I concluded that something wasn't right. I could see it in his eye. He was lying, it was just something about this guy that made me doubt his words. Last time he was alright, but this time, something just wasn't right. I nodded and handed Doctor Walker the things I had bought for her.

As I drank from the fountain of water before overhearing Dr. Walker say, "Take these to her room. I will meet up with you. I have to go get the printed results of her test."

I knew he was lying. I eavesdropped as he took the elevator and the nurse went down the hall. Why would he lie about her condition? I followed the nurse up the stairs and then into the elevator.

"Excuse me." I said.

"I'm lost. I am looking for the room of my friend. She hit her head pretty hard." I recalled.

"Yes, of course. Doctor Walker sent you didn't he?" She said.

I lied convincingly, "Yes. He did. This is my bodyguard Paul. He will be joining us."

She nodded and smiled, "Welcome to the facility. Right this way."

She stepped off the elevator and made it to a room before saying, "She's in there. I'll be back in a minute, I have to get her food and chart."

I nodded as I took the flowers from her and Paul took the balloons. We opened the door and I couldn't believe what I saw. My eyes widened.

"Who are you?" She asked alarmed.

"I . . .um. . we brought you these." I said confused at what to say and where to start.

"You're the flower boy? The one who brought me all those bouquets?" She said pointing to the not so fresh flowers which had covered the whole table. Geez Niall.

I uttered, "No. My friend is. He couldn't make it today. Paul can you give us minute."

He nodded before setting the balloons down in an area by the tv and stepping out.

"You can set them down over there." She said before sipping some water from her cup.

"How long have you been awake?" I said wondering how long this guy had lied to Niall and us.

"A few days now. You could say I'm a lab rat. Test after test, I've taken. You are my first visitor. Thanks." She said half smiling looking at me.

I smiled before saying, "You're welcome."

Am I seeing ghosts or illusions or is she really awake? I had mixed emotions at the moment. She does look so much better than before.

Silence succumbed our conversation as she only stared at me. I looked at her and made eye contact before she looked away timidly. I spoke up, "How are you feeling?"

She looked at me before replying soberly, "Alone. Like I said, you are my first visitor. Its very quiet and very lonely in here. Dr. Walker keeps me company sometimes, but it is still lonely."

I opened my mouth before Dr. Walker came in, making my smile fade into a more serious face, "May I have a word with you, Mr. Tomlinson?"

I nodded and said, "I'll be right back."

She nodded before looking outside the window. Dr. Walker closed the door before saying, "What are you doing here?"

"I'm seeing my friend which you lied about." I said scolding him.

He sighed before saying, "Very well. I didn't call because I have come up with a conclusion. I wasn't sure at first, but I am now accurate with my conclusion."

I looked at him confused, "What conclusion?"

He sighed before taking a pause, "I have done these tests more than once and I am positive that the diagnosis I have given her is correct."

I looked at him bickering him to continue.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't avoid it. The tests diagnosed it. She has amnesia."
