Kiss me with thy poisoned lips

Geoff: be there in ten xx

He had sent that twenty minutes ago. Awsten sighed and wandered over to the mirror in his room. Tilting his head up and down he looked at every angle he could, humming a random tune.

He was bored and Geoff was late.

A white cylinder stood next to the mirror. Awsten refused to look at it, knowing what was inside. To anyone else it would look like a normal, sparkly lip gloss and Awsten made sure people kept thinking that. They wouldn't believe him if they knew the truth.

The blue haired boy didn't think he would need to use it however Geoff was late and Awsten hated tardiness. It gave him anxiety. If you give someone a time you're expected to be there and if you arrive later, they start to worry. Anything could've happened.

Awsten was contemplating whether or not to call Geoff and tell him not to bother, when the doorbell rang.

About fucking time. He thought. Hurrying down to answer the door, he left his bedroom door open. Never mind, he could close it later.

"Coming!" The small boy raced down the stairs and almost crashed into the door.

Behind the heavy door, Geoff stood with a bouquet of daffodils and tulips. He was late mainly because he spent ages picking out the perfect flowers and also because he spent five minutes trying to calm himself down and not have a panic attack in the car.

Awsten opened the door to a beaming brunette. His blue irises captured his attention first but then Awsten's gaze gradually drifted down to the plants in his tremblings hands.

They were the wrong flowers. Awsten didn't like tulips or daffodils. His eyes narrowed and he clenched his fists.

Geoff sensed the mood change and his smile faltered. "Are you ok?" The blue boy forced a smile and nodded. "Yeah." He snatched the flowers and walked into the depths of his house, Geoff trailing meekly after him.

"So, welcome to my humble abode. Can I offer you any refreshments?" Awsten asked as he tried to find a vase or, failing that, a very large glass for the flowers.

"Uh no thanks, I'm good for now." Geoff stood awkwardly in the doorway, hands in pockets and unsure of what to do.

After several minutes of searching for a suitable storage unit, Awsten found one and pulled out a large cylindrical glass with a triumphant grin. "Found one!" He carelessly dumped the stalks inside the glass and covered them with cold water before prancing into the living room and slamming them down on top of the fireplace.

"There perfect, makes the room look happier now come here." He twirled around to face the brunette, who had wandered in after Awsten, and smashed his lips against Geoff's.

Taken completely by surprise, Geoff didn't kiss back. Awsten pulled away and frowned. "Did you not want that? I mean, we are technically dating. Was that not good enough for you?" Awsten questioned. He was angry. Geoff had basically just rejected him and Awsten didn't do rejection.

Taken aback and slightly scared of Awsten due to the accusing words and vicious tone exiting the small boys mouth, Geoff could only stutter an apology.

"Uh..uh..no.. I mean yes, I d..id enjoy it. Wait, what?"

"Ugh, pathetic." Awsten rolled his eyes and folded his arms.

The brunette was stunned. His boyfriend just called him pathetic. What had he done wrong?

The anxiety from earlier came flooding back, replacing the warmth and happiness he'd felt Awsten had opened the door.

Geoff wasn't entirely sure how to handle the situation but he wanted to make Awsten happy. In this moment of desperation the brunette pulled Awsten close to him and reattatched their lips.

For a moment, Awsten was the one to be taken my surprise. It was origionally what he wanted and he wanted the evening to progress and take it a few steps further, but Geoff hadn't proved himself worthy yet. Awsten didn't kiss back.

Geoff broke the kiss and raised an eyebrow. "Was that not good enough?" He asked, mimicking Awsten. The boy in question glared at Geoff and locked his jaw in place. "One moment please." Awsten excused himself and did everything in his power to not run up the stairs.

In a calm and collected manner, Awsten walked up the stairs and entered his room, walking straight over to the mirror. He origionally intended to take a moment to calm down but something caught his eye.

Something white and sparkly.

Maybe Geoff will find it cute. Maybe he'll think he deserves it. The boy thought. Maybe he thinks he deserves it, well, he does but he doesn't know it...yet.

With a twisted grin upon his face, Awsten took the applicator and smeared the gloss across his plump lips. The slight burning sensation just made him smile more.

Downstairs, Geoff was perched on the couch drumming his fingers on his thighs. He was bored and wanted to go home. Awsten had been fucking with his head all evening and wasn't sure what to do or how to deal with him.

Geoff was just about to stand up and walk to the door to leave, when Awsten half ran and half fell down the stairs.

Slowly and seductively, the blue boy made his way over to Geoff and clambered onto his lap, straddling him and threading his slender fingers through Geoff's soft locks.

"I'm sorry about earlier babe, I promise I'll make it up to you." Before Geoff could answer, Awsten forced his lips upon Geoff's, coating the brunette's with the burning gloss.

Geoff broke the kiss, clapping a hand to his burning mouth in an attempt to wipe it off.

"Awsten what the fuck is that!" His boyfriend just pinned him down and forcefully kissed him again, shoving his poisoned covered tongue into Geoff's mouth. The brunette began choking and gagging, the poison entering his system pretty quickly.

Smiling, Awsten pulled back. He watched his lover slide to the floor, grasping at his neck.

Geoff's pleading gaze reached Awsten's eyes. He didn't know how to react or how to think. All he could do was writhe on the floor in agonising pain. "Aws..Awst..." He gasped, trying desperately to form a sentence.

"Shh baby, you don't need to speak. Just close your eyes and let it happen." Awsten purred, holding Geoff's hand.

Geoff felt his face start to burn and it spread through his while body. Within minutes the brunette felt vital organs start to shut down. Then he couldn't feel his legs or his arms.

Even through the pain and the firey sensation across his entire body, or at least the bits he could feel, he still saw Awsten the way he always had. Geoff saw his smile, his humour, his kitten sneezes and his morning voice. Geoff saw Awsten and the love he felt stayed until the second his heart stopped beating.

"I love you." The brunette whispered.

Awsten looked into Geoff's deep blue eyes and one lone tear fell as Geoff's pale eyelids closed.

Geoff's hand fell from Awsten's and went limp at his side. The blue boy inhaled and closed his eyes, wiping the gloss off with the back of his hand. He'd worn it so many times and shared it with so many people he had become immune to it.

Before Geoff came Patty. Awsten loved Patty but he wasn't good enough. He wasn't perfect. But Geoff was. However he had let himself down, Awsten wanted to keep him, he really did; he couldn't. Geoff deserved better than Patty.

Opening his eyes and standing up, Awsten grabbed Geoff's left leg and pulled him out the room, up the stairs to the bathroom.

With his spindly arms Awsten lifted Geoff into the bathtub and turned the taps on. Bending over his lover, Awsten placed a soft, non toxic, kiss to Geoff's lips. "I'm sorry." He whispered.

Awsten stood back up and walked over to the cabinet. The boy opened it and found the large bottle he was looking for. Unscrewing the cap, Awsten tipped it and let it drizzle down onto the floor.

Before it ran out, Awsten turned it upright, switched off the taps and carried on pouring it around the house and down the stairs. It ran out just before Awsten got to the front door.

With a grimace he threw the plastic bottle into the hallway before fishing out a lighter from his pocket.

Awsten flicked the switch a couple of times to make sure it worked. With one last look up the stairs, the blue boy flung open the front door and strode outside, chucking the lit lighter over his shoulder into the house.

As the lighter hit the fuel, flames erupted from behind Awsten and the windows shattered.

"I love you too Gee."

This is sad, I'm sorry. So is the next one btw.
