Chapter sixteen

Bubbling up inside me all morning was a mixture of excitement and nervousness. I couldn’t believe that only last night Damon and I decided that we where getting married today. Although it was all happening so fast, I didn’t care, as I knew Damon was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Nevertheless, that didn’t to stop my nerves, as knowing I was going to have to walk down the isle was killing me. I hated when all eyes and attention was on me, as I still get the feeling that someone is out there to get me even though I have been told I am perfectly safe now. Glancing over at Destiny all my nervous feelings fled from my body leaving me the happiest woman alive.

Cherelle is now busily working on my hair while Lexis is fussing like a mad woman over my make-up. The last couple of hours were spent, waxing and plucking and right now I was ready to explode, between the way they where pulling me about. Between my hair makeup and nerves, it was all becoming to much. “Ouch!” I yelped as Cherelle ripped the hair out of my head, while in the process Lexis stabbed the eyeliner into my eye. “Everyone out now, I need a few minutes alone,” I shouted through frustration. Feeling guilty, I quickly apologized and started explaining that I just needed a few minutes of alone time. Cherelle Lexis and a few of the nurses all gave me reassuring smiles before leaving.  My body slumped back into my chair; taking in some deep breaths, I could feel my body instantly calming. Picturing Damon in a tuxedo was sending pleasurable shivers through my body, “easy Sheena you need to stop this now” I mentally told myself.

I still wasn’t used to having these feelings down below, it amazed me how strong these feelings where. Just remembering the way I used to feel when Damon touched me before was amazing. However, now it is totally mind blowing I mean it is just explosive. Just the thought of him alone had me watering below.

Caught up in my own naughty little thoughts, Cherelle and the others came barging through the door. Blushing deeply, I started thinking, what if they knew what I was thinking about. Nevertheless, seeing Cherelle, carrying my dress had set the butterflies going wild in my stomach. “Come on Sheena its time to turn you into a princess” Cherelle said in her excited singsong voice. Seeing her so excited was funny, it was as if she was the one getting married and not me, ha.

Watching them all running around the room finishing dressing themselves made me jealous.  “I wish I could walk down the isle,” I mumbled to myself. Not thinking anyone would hear me, but they did as the room went from complete chaos to completely silent as the words had left my mouth. There intense pitiful stares had me wanting to break down and cry, but then the thought of going through them doing my make up again had me mentally begging for my tears not to fall. One of the nurses that I recognized from treating my wounds yesterday started clapping her hands while jumping up and down. She is totally losing it I thought to myself. “I’ve got it, I’ll be right back,” she shouted out as she ran out of the room. Staring at the door she had just ran out of “What was all that about?” I asked to no one in particular. The room irrupted into to laughter, “god knows, she’s always been crazy but that was pure scary” one of the nurses said. We all started laughing again, I was laughing that much that I was holding tissue under my eyes so they wouldn’t smug my make up.

Just as Cherelle finished placing flowers in my hair, she stood back with Lexis and the others while looking at me. “WOW” they said all at once,”Let me see?”  I whined they all broke into a fit of giggles as Cherelle shouted, “Not until we are finished. Pouting and giving Cherelle my best puppy dog face wasn’t even working, giving up knowing there was no way I was going to win I sat there sulking. Just as Cherelle pulled the dress out of the bag I gasped, the dress was so beautiful. The dress was made of white silk there where pearls and diamonds scattered all over making it sparkle just like a princess’s dress from Disney. “Wow” was all I managed to say in a light whisper, as I was speechless. “This is even nicer then the one I have dreamed of.” Stopping I took in a deep breath, looking up at Cherelle “Thank you so much! If it weren’t for my legs not wanting to move right now, I would have jumped on top of you and probably hugged you to death.” I said giggling the whole room joined in laughing with me.

After Cherelle had managed to get the dress on me, the crazy nurse that had done a runner earlier came bouncing into the room. “Ok is Sheena ready?” she asked, I could tell she was up to something between her big mischievous grin and her eyes sparkling. Scanning across the room at the others I could see they where all thinking the same thing as me. However, what made me laugh was none of us answered her, we all just stood and sat there looking at her like she was crazy, not that she wasn’t crazy because she definitely was. Cherelle was the first to break the silence, “yes she’s all done, there is just one thing left to do” she replied. Then Cherelle ran to the other side of the room where all the nurses had gotten ready earlier and then came back with a full-length mirror in her hands. “Lexis, Tamara you two help her up and straighten out her dress” she ordered them using her business voice. My insides where overflowing with nerves and excitement, my emotions where going hey wire along with the butterflies in my stomach. “Hurry up Cherelle” I called as I waited for her to turn the mirror around so I could see myself. “Hold your horse’s young lady,” she said teasingly.

As soon as Lexis and Tamara had me ready, they both gave Cherelle a nod. As the mirror turned to face me, I couldn’t believe that the beautiful woman in the mirror was me “Oh god Cherelle look at me it is me isn’t it OH Cherelle” I knew I was rambling but I almost looked like a real princess. The dress hugged tightly to my breasts in a sweetheart shape, which really complemented my breasts. Then the silk material hugged my body down to my hips where it then flowed softly down to the ground. My heart was hammering so hard against my chest as I took myself in that I actually thought I was going to pass out if not die this very moment. While I stared at myself in the mirror I could hear sniffs and giggles coming from around the room staring up at Cherelle I could see the tears in her eyes “Thank you” I whispered still feeling chocked up. “Come on everyone the husband to be is waiting at the Alter.” The room broke into fits of excited giggles as everyone got into place so we could make our way out to the gardens.

Once we reached the door exiting to the hospitals gardens I started feeling anxious. Say if he’s changed his mind, I quickly shoved that out of my head knowing damn well he loved me as much as I loved him. “Now for the big surprise” someone shouted from behind me. Recognising the voice to belong to the one and only crazy nurse had me feeling nervous all over again. Opening the door, I saw a walking frame but it wasn’t like the big clumsy ones I would usually use in my physio it was a lot smaller and neater. Seeing the crazy nurse standing there bouncing up and down, shoved all my nervousness aside and replaced it with so much excitement that happy tears started to escape me. “Wow not now Sheena no tears please the makeup,” Lexis quickly said as she held tissue under my eyes trying to stop the smudging. Swallowing hard and taking a deep and steadying breath I slowly pulled myself back together, taking one last deep breath “You may be crazy but you’re the best crazy person I’ve ever known” I said laughing. It amazed me that I didn’t know half of these girls a couple of days ago and now its as if we have known each other our whole lives. “Thank you all so much for everything, I ask only one more thing” they all nodded motioning for me to go on “That we will all stay friends after today” I said sincerely. The smiles on all of their faces told me that this was the start of our newfound friendships.

Standing strapped into the small wooden frame that they had hidden under my dress, thrilled me. Emotionally I was a wreak however, the excitement of being able to walk down the isle was more than I could have ever wished for.  For that, I owe it all to the crazy nurse Ha, “I’m going to get married,” I screamed out excited. David was now standing by my side with his arm raised waiting for me to link. “Are you ready madam” he asked while bowing his head I couldn’t help but giggle at his expression. “Why yes sir” I replied doing a mock curtsey. Taking the last corner, I stopped in pure and utter shocked gasping at the sight before me. The gardens where all set up with white drapes and flowers everywhere, chairs where placed in rows with big ribbon bows done in a deep purple. “You like?” Cherelle whispered into my ear, “No I love it!” I replied.

 The music started to play signalling that it was time for Cherelle, Lexis and Destiny to walk down the isle. All three of them had the same deep purple silk body hugging dresses, well except Destiny’s didn’t hug her little body it just flowed but looked so cute. I still hadn’t seen Damon as the girls had managed to block my view the whole time, on purpose as well I must say. Seeing the crowd standing up shocked me as I didn’t even know this many people, David squeezed my hand “everyone that was working on your case wanted to be here for you both” he said with pride. “Wow” was all I could say as I thought of all these men and women had done for us and here they all where on our special day. Seeing that it was nearly our turn to walk had me trembling. What if I fall or the frame wont hold my weight, not that I weighed much but oh please god help me I prayed, David nudged me letting me know its time. Taking in one last deep breath we started to move forward nonetheless seeing Damon stopped me in my tracks, the look of love mixed with shock showing on his face made me feel proud. I knew he was proud of me by the sparkle in his eyes; his mouth was still hanging open as he saw me standing at the end of the isle. “Sheena” David called me with worry edged in his voice. I didn’t reply because I knew that my voice would show my nervousness so instead I tugged on his elbow letting him know I’m fine. As we continued to walk down the isle the crowd became silent my hands where sweating and every step closer I was getting to Damon the harder it was becoming. However, this was my dream and nothing on this earth was going to stop me from walking down this isle, I thought to myself.

As David handed me over to Damon I could see the tears in both of their eyes I gave them both a small smile as I swallowed down my own tears.

The whole placed clapped and cheered as Damon and I stood side by side at the Alter.

The whole service felt like a blur to me as before I knew it I heard the priest saying, “You may now kiss the bride.” Damon placed his hands on either side of my face before leaning in to kiss me. However, it wasn’t a little kiss like most couples do, he kissed me deep and passionate, not that I was complaining because it was perfect. ”Hey, get a room you two”, “there will be plenty of time for that later.” That was only a couple of the comments I heard, but there was much more being shouted out. Feeling the heat rise to my face I broke from the kiss lowering my face into Damon’s chest. Feeling the rumbling vibrations from Damon’s chest I knew he was laughing, pulling me in closer he placed a kiss on my forehead.

 Damon helped me turn around so we where both now facing the clapping and laughing crowd.  Slowly Damon led me back down the isle to where I could see a horse and carriage I gasped as I took in the snow white horse and the glass carriage “you remembered” I said as I stood still as the tears cascaded down my face.

“Sheena you are a princess, my princess and you deserve the best. Now to answer your question, yes I remembered your childhood dream and although I couldn’t give you your dream wedding, I thought I could at least finished it the way you have dreamt it.” He replied with so much love that my tears turned into sobbing.” God, thank you, thank you, thank you, so much for given me Damon. I will always make sure to love him and look after him until the day I die. This to you I promise with all my heart and soul.” I silently prayed thanking god for giving me the love I have always longed for.

Lexis and Cherelle where now along side us and un strapped me from the frame, Damon the scooped me up and lifted me into the awaiting carriage. I couldn’t stop the smile spreading on my face, I was just so happy and to think this is the start of my knew life as Mrs Marz.

Sorry it took so long to upload but between the kids going back to school and college and shows, it has been hectic and on top of that I  have the worlds championships coming up very soon so all is mad. However I really appreciate all of your patience!
