The Great Hall erupted in green and red lights. People were screaming, the older students were ushering first and second years under the tables while the staff were doing the best they could to stop the death eaters.

Reece ran around the entire room looking for Zio. He hand his wand out just in case he had to fight. So far no one was attacking him though; the death eaters attacking though Reece was on there side and the staff and students assumed he was on there side. Reece didn't actually have a side, his side was to just make sure Zio was alright and to protect him.

Reece ducked as a red light was casted above his head aimed at another student. Reece shuddered to think who that student was. Reece ran, just in case it was Zio the spell was aimed at.

Zio's tux had several tears and rips in them. He'd already been victim to the crucio curse; after the attack it didn't take too long for a death eater to single him out.

He was now hiding underneath the Slytherin table with several other scared student. His arm was bleeding profusely through the ripped cloth from his tux. His wand was in pieces too, his attacker was quick to do that.

Zio closed his laying down on the floor clutching his arm as tears threatened to spill. He was absolutely terrified. And he rightfully was, this attack was all his fault.

He didn't mean for it to happen. It just sort of did; he was honestly expecting it to happen later in the school year towards exams when everyone was too stressed about grades to worry about You-Know-Who.

Zio clenched his eyes, hiccuping lightly and slowly the sounds of the fight went away.

The fight ended an hour and a half ago in Hogwarts favor. It took a whole hour for Reece to find his date under the table.

Reece was terrified when he saw Zio lying on the cold ground with his eyes closed and was quick to bring the boy to the hospital wing.

Zio was in there for almost three weeks and it was safe to say that Reece refused to leave his side almost the entire time.

Zio groaned as he woke up shifting to his side. "Everything hurts and I don't know why..."

Reece barely looked up from his homework as he responded. "Probably because your dumbass got hit by the cruciatus curse."

"...so you're mad at me," Zio said. He sat up in the bed staring at Reece.

The latter rolled his eyes, moving his parchment and quill out of the way. "Of course I'm not mad." Reece sat on the bed next to Zio's legs looking his date in the eyes, as if making sure this was real and wasn't another dream. "I've never been so scared in my life, angel. I was terrified. I honestly didn't think you would wake up."

Zio looked away too embarrassed to say anything. He supposed he should've seen this coming, but to be honest he didn't think anyone would have actually cared if he got hurt. But here Reece was apparently terrified at thought of Zio never waking up and they'd only been one date (that clearly didn't end well), Zio had to admit though that that was more than his family probably worried.

Reece moved his hand grasping Zio's face lightly and wiping his tears. Zio didn't know when he started crying, he just did. Reece sat beside Zio and carefully guided the boy's head to his lap.

"Go back to sleep, angel. You need the rest," he urged kissing Zio's forehead softly.

"You'll be here when I wake up right?" Zio pulled the covers up on them, getting comfortable.

"Of course I will, angel. I'm with you 'til the end of the line."
