Previously on Prologue

"My house feels so empty without my parents" she said, after a moment of silent. Her two friends gives her a sympathetic gaze. Then she smile "dad wants me to move on... So I will, I will be stronger just like how my dad last wish is" she said. She gives her friends a determine looks. Despite the pain she's feeling in her heart, she's still willing to go on.

I will be stronger... I will avenge my parents

Y/N P.O.V

It's been 4 years since my parents death. I'm still grieving, but I'm moving on. Just like how my dad wants me to. Midori and Akane is always there for me, to make sure I can cope with anything.

Akane, Midori and I is walking on a train station. We're heading to the academy. We talk about random things.

We got on the train. "I wonder what kind of training we'll be having today" I said to them. "Yeah... I wonder" Akane said. Midori nods her head.

Then all the sudden, I could hear screaming. "What's that?" I say. "Let's go check it out!" Akane said. Midori and I nod our heads. We run towards the room.

We see a blonde boy. He just hurt a guy. We run forward. Akane told the boy who we are. Then the location is secluded.

"Who are you?" I yelled. My eyes widened when the boy turns to us. I start shaking "you... You're the one who killed my Father" I said. He just stare at me, emotionlessly. Midori and Akane just stare at me wide-eyed. 'No... He can't be, the way he looks at me is completely different from that boy' I thought.

The boy turn around and walk away. "Hey! Wait!" I yell. But he was already out. I collapse on my knees as the pain of loosing my dad came back. Midori and Akane run to my side. "Y/N-Chan... Are you okay?" Akane asks. I just nod my head.

Time-skip

We are at the academy. The screen is showing about what happens today. "The attacker was captured thanks to the World Council's academy students that happened to be at the scene" after the woman on the screen finish saying that, the people around us is clapping their hands.

"Thank you! Thank you" we say. We walk towards the lift, still waving. Then the door close and we start moving down.

"Y/N-Chan... You recognise the boy?" Akane asks me. "Yes and no.." I say. "What do you mean?" Midori asks, confused. "He looks exactly like the boy who killed my dad. But..." I said and stopped. "But?" Akane questions. "He is different. It's like... I'm looking at two different people. It's like there's two of them. This boy is not the same boy as that time in Blue Christmas" I said. They just stare at me.

We keep walking forward. Then suddenly Midori run forward "race you!" She yelled. "Hey! You have a head start, no fair!" I yelled. "Oh come on! Again? We just have a race yesterday" Akane complain. "Well... It's Midori we're talking about... Of course it's all about running" I say. But we run anyway.

Midori is the first, I'm second and Akane third. "Man... You're fast" I say out of breath, leaning on my knees. Midori giggles in respond.

Time-skip

The three of us is sitting down at the academy. "Hey... That boy..." Midori said, pointing to a certain direction. We follow her gaze to see the same boy.

"Hey! Sorry about this morning" Akane said. "Sorry for totally misunderstood" Midori said. I just follow closely behind them. "Yeah.." The boy said, with a quite voice.

"Any way would you like a tour around the academy? People around here are Adapters like us" Midori said. The boy look at the others, then turn back to us. "Why me?" He asks. "Uh, well..." Midori hesitate. "We are told to recruit you" Akane said. "Akane!" Midori said. "There is no point of keeping it a secret" Akane defends.

They keep talking, but I keep my attention towards the boy. He really seems different. He walks pass us, saying that he don't want to join us. Akane talk about the Parent Killing Aoto. Then the boy turn to us "well... I did kill them" the boy said, then he walk away. Leaving us dumbfounded. So boy is Aoto. The one everyone talks about.

We don't have any practice today. So I just told the others that I'm heading home. Other student live at the academy, everyone but me.

I make my way home, with my hands in my pocket. I heard a sound of cats. I turn my head towards the direction to see someone is feeding the cats. Upon closer look, I recognise the person as Aoto.

I decide to confront him. I walk up behind him. "I see you like feeding cats" I said. He turns around to look at me. "Just when I feel like it" he said. I just stay silent. He continue to look at me.

"Why would you lie?" I asks, after staying silent just looking at each other. As kid, I can see people, who's lying and who's not. "Lying? About what?" He asks. "About killing your parents" I said. "I did kill them..." He said. I shook my head "you can fool others, but you can't fool me. I know when someone tells the truth of lies" I said. He stayed silent after that. "And I know you're not the one who killed those people on Blue Christmas" I said. "How would you know?" He asks. "I was there..." I said. He just stare at me. "I meet the killer... That killer killed my Father" I said. He stayed silent and continue to stare at me.

"You look exactly like him... But you're not him, your eyes is different" I said. He stayed silent. He stares at me with unchanged expression. I look into his eyes and see something I've always felt. "Your eyes.... I can see the pain in them... I can feel it... You're in pain. Just like me, but a different kind of pain" I said.

Then the rain starts pouring down. "Ah shit! Why would it starts raining now!" I complain. I look at the boy. I run towards him and grab his arm "come on! We need to find shelter. We'll go to my house" I said. I didn't give him a chance to reply, as I pull him along with me.

We reached my home. "This is my home... I hope you don't feel awkward about being here" I said. I walk over to grab a towel and walk back towards him. I toss him the towel "dry yourself... Otherwise you'll get sick" I said. He just nod his head and dry his hair. "I'll grab something for you to wear" I said, walking towards dad room.

I walk back and give him some clothes. "I hope they fits you... It belongs to my Father" I said. Then I gesture towards the bathroom "you can change there" I said.

I just met him.... I can't believe I let him in my house
