Ryuu being the bro he is. Riku force Gaku to sing for him and Tenn is back-! Wait what? Who is who? The world really hate Gaku but- Hey! At least he get to meet Tenn's mother right? RIGHT?

It's been few days since then, Gaku's now on break from his practice session with Ryuu. He sat on the floor while leaned on the big mirror which is wall. Since he's still in the practice room it's not weird to have a big mirror. He sighed, eyes look exhausted. Even when he's sitting, he looked like he could fall anytime now. Ryuu gave him a worry gaze, who's sitting beside him.

"Gaku, is there something wrong? You look like a kid who just lost their parents?"

Gaku quickly turn his head toward his partner with an alarm look. "What with that comparison?! Do I really look like that?!"

Ryuu beamed at him. "Ah! You're fine now!"

"Ryuu?!"

"Haha, I'm just joking! But for real, is this about that boy? You've been visiting him right?"

Gaku stared at Ryuu with blank look. "... Are you reading my mind?"

"Of course not! He seems to always in your mind. I'm here y'know."

Being the bro Gaku was, he told Ryuu everything. Gaku have been visiting Tenn, who's still Riku. Again, why's that name felt familiar? Anyway, Riku made his visits more enjoyable and less annoying. Don't get him wrong. Riku is a nice and bright person. It's just..

"You miss Tenn right?"

"O-oi Ryuu!"

"What? It's true right?" Only received silence from the other guy, Ryuu encouragingly smile at Gaku. "Just be patient alright? Let me find something about DID. Maybe there's something about alters switching place. Maybe there's some factor why the switch happen." Ryuu took his phone from his bag beside him as Gaku leaned toward him to see the bright screen. He look through the search network and scrolled his phone's screen, searching for some information. Both of them read about the mental illness.

Outwardly, switching is a process where an alter shift with another alter. There's many types of alters. But there's too many facts and their brains couldn't process any of it. Anything about alters really difficult! Gaku mess up his hair since he doesn't understand a bit about what he just read. Ryuu found another website about switching. He called Gaku as Gaku quickly look at the screen.

From what they read, switches can be consensual, forced or triggered. Gaku and Ryuu gazed at each other with concern looks before their eyes went back to the website.

A consensual switch might be planned ahead of time. Like an alter might planned to take over as they want go to the competition when it's the day competition start. Then, a forced switch. You can already understand from that. The alter themselves decide to switch themselves. And last but not least, triggered switch, which are not intentional. Rather, they occur when a situation forces a particular alter to come forward. There are a variety of triggers that can lead to switching. (God, DID just too complicated. Just do your own research to understand. I don't think I can explain it more with how limited my English is.)

Gaku and Ryuu stared at each other anxiously. So, there's no way to know when the real Tenn come back.

"And the host usually not aware of them.... That's because they don't remember about those traumatic events, the cause of why they develop DID. Tenn must having a hard time to adjust. Urgh... Life really unfair... Like my love life."

"Your love life are totally different, Gaku." Ryuu deadpanned.

"I understand a bit of DID... It's really hard to get better... There's no cure too. It's must be hard for Tenn.. Gaku, just do your best okay?" Ryuu patted Gaku's back as Gaku let his head fell with gloomy aura appeared around him. ".... Aye..." (I've been watching fairy tail a lot okay?!) (Future me : Yeah, I used to rewatch that show a lot.)

"Gaku!!!"

"W-what- What's it?! Is there something wrong?!"

Gaku was peacefully read his book- he got it from Tsumugi- while visiting Tenn but that too energetic brat suddenly shout his name out loud like that. He swear that anytime that brat could explode from too much energy.

Riku shook his head with a grin. "No no! Nothing wrong! You're an idol right?!" He seemed too excited for his own good.

Gaku really didn't like where this'll be going... "Yeah.."

Riku tilted his head a bit in a cute manner. "Then, sing and dance for me!"

Like here?! Now?!! "Huh?! Why?!?"

"Because... Tenn-nii used to sing for me whenever I get sick... I can sing for myself but..... It just feel weird.." W-was that what people call puppy eyes? Gaku sighed weakly. "Alright then."

"Yay!"

"Don't 'yay'! I'll only sing got it! There's no way I can dance in this place! What kind of song do you want to hear?"

"Hmmm... Anything is fine!"

"Got it, anything then. How about one of TRIGGER's song?" Gaku suggested a song from his idol duo group, he received a nonstop nod from the teen. Gaku really had to calm that brat down with how he keep bounced around and restless this brat was. Riku gave Gaku a sheepish smile as he settle down on the bed. Gaku simply shook his head before he took a deep breath. He opened his mouth.

Riku's eyes widened in happiness. His grin couldn't get any wider when listened to Gaku's voice. He thought, Gaku was amazing. It must be nice to sing in front of people. It must be wonderful. The song itself, was about dream. His smile falter a bit when thought about that word. Dream. He wanted Tenn to reach that dream too. Just like in that song, he sure, Tenn will get it.

Gaku's strong voice brought Riku back from thinking about bad thing. Yes, he just had to believe, just like in the song. He rested his hand on his chin, smiled softly at Gaku. It's nice. This was so nice that it's a shame he won't hear those songs anymore.

Gaku had been missing his visit for Tenn for days. Blame his manager. He didn't even know where the hell all that works in his schedule came from. Thank goodness that he didn't have any works today. So here he visited Tenn alone. Originally, Ryuu was with him. Ryuu have been wanting to visit Tenn but he suddenly got a call from his family. So he can't accompany Gaku today. Seriously, what with the timing.

When he entered Tenn's room, he actually greeted by a sleeping angel. The pale pink haired was asleep. It's actually unusual... Tsumugi even said to him that she always look after patients sleep patterns. He didn't want to disturb Tenn, so he quietly took a sit beside the bed. And observed. No, he's not watching people like a creepy person. This was just an observation. Now that he looked at Tenn closely, Tenn indeed look like an angel even with pale skin colour. Though, Tenn's skin was paler than he remembered. That's.. worrisome.

God, Gaku, you're being a creep right now! Stop it! Gaku mentally scolded himself. Good thing he brought a new book. He opened the first page as he read. He didn't know how long it is. He was too engrossed in that book, he almost jump from his sit when he heard a voice.

"Gaku.... Since when you're here?"

Gaku immediately lifted his head from the book. His eyes met with half lidded pink eyes. He placed his hand on his chest in relief. Oh, it's just Tenn. Wait. That tone.... That expression.... Don't tell him that- "Tenn?!"

Tenn raised his eyebrows. "What? Why are you so surprise.."

That's really Tenn! Gaku couldn't help but grinned at the teen. "You're back! That's great!"

"....." Tenn widened his eyes but quickly gone look away from Gaku, didn't let Gaku see his face. "That's not a great thing...." Tenn mumbled under his breath.

"What's wrong? Did you say something?"

"No. It's nothing.... Yeah, I'm back I guess..." Tenn smiled softly but slowly expression of deep sadness pasted over the top. Gaku saw that but didn't know what to say since this situation was too complicated. He scared that he would only hurt Tenn even more. So, they didn't talk the rest of the day.

Gaku sat on the same spot where he and Tenn first meet. He wore the same sunglasses he wore at that time to avoid people recognize him. He may look like he was gazed at the sky peacefully until you look at his face. His face scowled, show that he pissed off. Now Gaku really pissed off at Tenn. What the heck is wrong with that brat. He was happy the Tenn he knew back but here Tenn gave him silent treatment! Yet...

"........ Tou-san and Kaa-san worry about me....."

"Yes. Tou-san working hard for his family! That's why he didn't have time to visit....... While Kaa-san keeps visit us...."

Gaku entered the room and saw Tenn was facing at the window, gazed toward the blue sky. He couldn't see Tenn face from his perspective so he just need to go near Tenn. But he won't for now because why would he need to do that? "Tenn, I'm here again. About yesterday, I don't know why you didn't say anything to me... So if it's my fault, I'm sorry."

But Tenn didn't say anything or give Gaku any reaction from body language. "Are you really going me silent treatment?!"

Tenn turned his head, facing Gaku. Gaku widened his eyes, speechless.

Tenn looked at Gaku with eyes void from any emotion. Those eyes look too empty. Far too empty.

"Tenn.....?"

Tenn tilted his head, his face still didn't show any emotion at all. "You're....?"

"Eh?" Tenn.... Didn't recognize him? Tsumugi did say there's more alters. That's mean... This Tenn here.. Okay. He can do this. "I'm Yaotome Gaku. Call me Gaku."

".... Ga.. ku...?"

Gaku smiled weakly. "Yes. We're friends."

"... Friends...?" Tenn smiled. "... I like that.." That smile... Gaku couldn't describe it but with those blank eyes, smile that supposed to bring happiness look out of place. It's weird. Who's this guy?

"T-then, who- I mean! What should I call you?"

".... Tenn."

"......"

"......"

Another Tenn?! Is it common for alter have same name as the host?

"I'm not sure.... I'm just a nurse, Gaku-san. Not a doctor. I only know basic knowledge about DID..."

He really didn't think about that. Now he just bothering her. "I'm sorry for asking..." He said with gloomy aura around him.

Tsumugi quickly wave her hands, told Gaku that she doesn't mind. "Ah! Don't apologize! But.... That Tenn.... He don't usually come out... When he did come out, usually for a short time like few minutes or hours."

Those gloomy aura immediately vanished as Gaku look at Tsumugi with his eyebrows raised. "What? Really?"

She nodded, placed her hand on her cheek. "Yeah... I don't know why though... He's a quiet person. He don't remember about some details about himself sometimes. He didn't talk to his doctor at all. And that's make it hard for his doctor to help."She bit her lower lip. "But his doctor confirmed that Tenn you met earlier is suicidal."

Gaku's eyes widened. He apologize to Tsumugi and ran back to Tenn's room. Tsumugi didn't have chance to answer now that Gaku already gone from her sight.

With loud bang by the slammed door, Gaku hurriedly went back to Tenn's side. "Tenn! Don't move!"

Blankly stared back at Gaku, Tenn blinked and furrowed his brow confusedly. ".... Okay.." Like really, he didn't even move an inch at all.

Gaku examined Tenn from head to toes. He released a relief sigh, seeing that there's no wound nor cut on Tenn's. Still didn't change any expression from his face, Tenn stared at Gaku puzzledly but with how blank his face was, Gaku didn't even sure why Tenn stared at him like that. Gaku took a deep breath and sit on the chair beside Tenn's bed before he facing at Tenn closely. "Y'know.... You can just talk to me. It can make you feel better.."

Tenn only blinked at him as the respond he only got is "......... Okay...." Was that the only respond that brat could give?! Whatever. Just calm yourself Gaku. Though, now he looked at this Tenn more, Tenn seemed in a deep thought. He wondered if Tenn really would open up with him. Maybe Tenn tried to think how to say to him?

Spoiler. Tenn didn't. That brat didn't say a word to him at all. Now he's back at getting silent treatment.

"Stop with this silence!!!"

Tenn didn't look like he surprise from the sudden yell. ".... Sorry. I just don't know what to say."

Gaku took a deep breath and exhaled. He really need to control his tamper..
"It's okay.... Then, can you answer my questions?"

"... Okay...."

Gaku smiled a bit. "Good." Okay. Fuck. What should he ask now? Uhh.. "What's your favorite food?" That's the same question you asked few weeks ago you dummy. Gaku mentally scolded himself. Oh well, since those words already out from his lips, he will just wait for Tenn to answer. Tenn seemed to ponder about his question. So he just have to be patient!

He waited for that?! Is it too hard? Gaku forcefully let out an awkward laugh to ease the atmosphere. "Haha.... You don't know."

Tenn gazed down at his pale hands on his lap. "Sorry.... Everything is blurry...."

So about him having difficulty to remember it true... "Then, what's the most delicious food you ever eat? It's not that hard to think."

".... There's a red haired woman..." Tenn trailed off, then he quickly shook his head as he remembered something. "No... Kaa-san... She brought me.... Omurice... I think... It's delicious."

Yosh! A small step forward! Gaku mentally cheered while gave himself a pat on his back. Okay, what's to ask next...

While Gaku pondered, Tenn seemed to be in his own world. His blank eyes gets duller as each seconds passed. His mother.... She always visit him. She keeps apologize for no season. He couldn't remember what she apologize for. She's his family. Then, his father... She said his father was busy. That's why he never see him. And then....

A flash of memory came to his mind. It's a red haired boy. He stood in front of little Tenn, as if to shield Tenn from someone. He yelled at that person. "Stop do this to Tenn-nii!!!"

Tenn's eyes widened as his breath was growing ragged, his hands shakily raised to cover his ears from whatever he heard. He shook his head, try to deny everything. The truth. That just make him even harder to breath. This didn't escape from Gaku's sight. Gaku immediately stood up from the chair with panic.

"Tenn?! Wait, I'll go call Tsumu-!"

Before Gaku could move, something grabbed his wrist tightly, too tightly. It's Tenn. Tenn grabbed his wrist with both hands and Gaku couldn't move at all when he saw that expression. Tenn's eyes still blank as ever but he looks so scared. His eyes widened so much and unshed tears beginning to form.

"Don't go. Don't leave me alone."

That made Gaku's heart shattered.

"Don't leave me. I don't want to be alone! Alone. It's hurt! It's hurt! Riku's gone. I don't want!! I don't want!!" Tenn shouted, tears fell on his cheeks. Gaku couldn't see Tenn's face anymore, he stared down at his hand where being held by Tenn. He clenched his teeth and shut his eyes tightly, softly said to Tenn.

"Alright."

A red haired woman, Tenn's mother ran from her workplace as soon she got a call from the hospital. She stopped her feet in front of a doctor, who's outside of her son's room and panting from a long run. "How's my son?!"

The doctor gave her a small smile. "Nothing worrisome. He had another one of that so we couldn't help but gave him another injection before he could harm himself. He is sleeping now so you can see him inside." With that, she immediately went into the room.

Gaku was also there beside the doctor but she just too worry about her son to see his existence. She didn't even saw him. Gaku thought but quickly shook those thoughts away. Her mind just filled with her son of course she didn't saw him. Gaku looked at the door where she entered. So that's Tenn's mother. Then, he switched his gaze toward the doctor beside him. She had hazel brown hair that long enough to reach her shoulder. She seemed to look through a file maybe of Tenn he guess.

"Sensei, I'm sorry if I'm intruding. I already told you what happened earlier. So I deserve to know too."

She stopped her hands from flipping the papers. She raised her eyes, directly stared into Gaku's. Gaku didn't realize that he actually nervous around her as he felt himself relax when she gave him a gentle smile. "Of course. You're his friend so you deserve to know. I assume that you know a bit about DID yes?" As she received a nod, she continued. "Many people always misunderstand DID. Every alter you met is Tenn. Even Riku is Tenn. They're the system that's Tenn. Even though they're the same person, they still have their own identity. Of course each of them have their own problems, their own history but.. from what you said earlier, I'm not sure if it confirm my theory or not."

"What it is?"

"You do understand the term 'host' right? Host is also an alter. Host is the one that's more awake and more time than most of the alters. However, the identity who's the host may change." Explained her.

What? Gaku thought host is the original identity... He took some pieces and put in together. He look at her with uncertain in his face. She didn't mean that Tenn..

"Maybe the Tenn earlier was the former host. The one that actually experienced those traumatic events."

"N-no, it's nothing really." Why the heck is he nervous for?

What happened? Oh well, Gaku actually in the same room with Tenn's mother. Originally, he just wanted to greet her before he go visit his grandfather. But she said she wanted him to stay a bit so he did. He sat on a chair not far from her. Not really that far. She's beside Tenn's side and he still beside Tenn's bed. Yeah. Unfortunate for him.

Though, the red haired woman look like she didn't have a great night. You can see bags under her eyes. Even so, she still look beautiful. He can see where Tenn got that angelic look. Not that he want to admit. Damn, was she really around 40s? She look so young. He almost jump when she suddenly started to speak. As a good man he was, he will become the ears to the elder.

"Tenn always stuck with his twin brother, Riku. He's such a great brother! Always take care of Riku whenever we busy.... Riku had a weak body. Most of his life was in hospital. So, when he finally healthy enough to go to school, both of my sons was really happy and excited! Tenn can go to school with Riku! But..." She sounded so happy when she recalled those nostalgic memory. Gaku noted her behavior. She did sounds happy but what she said after that really shock him.

Both of the twins got kidnapped. She didn't want to tell what those people did to her sons. Gaku understood why. You don't want to imagine all those bad things that happened to your child. Especially if it's a horrible thing. The kidnappers got arrested weeks after they kidnapped the twins. The twins finally found but the youngest twin died when they were found. Tenn was there with Riku, hugged his younger brother's cold body.

Gaku could hear the sob in her voice. "The painful thing is watching the person you made memories with slowly becoming memories. It must be so painful for Tenn. "

Those words really squeeze his heart so hard. It made him think about his family. Yes, even that father of his.

"This is all my fault! If only I send them to school and not let them went to school by themselves! If only.." She continued to cry, leaving Gaku raised his hands, not knowing what to do. Thankful- for Gaku at least, someone else beat him.

"..... Kaa-san...."

Gaku jolted up, he looked at the pair of pink eyes. Ah. That's the same Tenn. He still had those lack of light in his eyes. Gaku switched back his attention to the woman beside him. She was holding her son's hands and place it on her cheek as tears streaming down.

".... Kaa-san, please.. don't cry..."

She keeps apologize to Tenn. Again. Again and again. Tenn shakily sat up brought his arms around her neck, gave her a hug. Gaku didn't know if his eyes lied to him or not but he swear he saw a flick of light in those eyes before Tenn hide his face on her shoulder.

Ah... This was their family moment. He shouldn't interfere with their mother son time. Plus, he'll be late. He planned to visit his grandfather after all. Slowly, Gaku stood up from his sit as quiet as possible and walk out from the room.
