"Well, what did you find?" I inquired.

"Let's go to the park. I'll explain what you failed to notice there." Lili responded as she lead the way out of the hall.

"We got you your coffee, your highness," Sage said, handing a mocha to Lili.

    "Thank you."

The short walk to the park was beautiful, with flowers and butterflies scattered everywhere, but no one broke the silence. We walked over to a park bench and sat down, Sage on my right side and as far from Lili as possible.

I handed Lili a cinnamon roll and asked her to elaborate on her discoveries. She pulled a plastic bag containing one business card out of her coat pocket and held it up for our inspection.

"I found this on one of the display shelves. You'll notice the name on top, and, I hope, recognize it."

We looked at the card. The name read Kathryn Brooke, one of my rivals.

"So you think she stole the books? That seems pretty unlikely," Sage commented skeptically.

"I agree. That doesn't seem like Kathryn," I said.

Lili rolled her eyes. "You didn't let me finish. I think it's a false clue. The shelf it was on was too high for it to be dropped by accident. I believe someone other than Kathryn placed the card there to frame her. I propose we get the card checked for fingerprints. If the police find a match, we will know who we are looking for.

"How can you be sure that Kathryn didn't put that there to make you think it was a false clue? I'll bet she's smarter then you think. Most people are," Sage pointed out, "And how can you even get a fingerprint scan?"

Lili took the insult in stride and continued her explanation.

"I have connections. Kathryn is a possibility, but it doesn't seem very likely. If my idea doesn't turn out, (though, of course, I think it will), we can go talk to her."
