     I sighed as I followed my mother. She was taking me some place to see a boy and was currently giving me my instructions on how to behave.Earlier that day I had heard my mom say something about making an agreement on the date. I had no idea what she had been talking about but I didn't ask. Because as my mother put it, "It's not lady like to stick your nose where it doesn't belong. Plus you are to young to understand grownup things." Then I when I tried to tell her I was now eight and was surely old enough to understand. All I got was a glare.

    " Kaitlyn Margaret Rivers.Are you listening?" My mother asked me.

    "Of course I am," I replied.I didn't want to worry my mother any more than she already was. Something had her walking on egg shells, but I had know idea what it was. For now I would leave well enough a lone, and ask about it later.Everything has been so different since father died........
