||Chapter 36||
-Author's POV-
They both never wanted to leave each other, hours had passed and there they sat with their giggles resounding into the empty ice cream shop.
Madison giggles into Cheryl's side, she clutches her stomach as the sound of happiness blends with the Geordie's beautiful laughs.
In this moment, Cheryl knew.
Madison is me daughter.
"Wait," The teen giggles, "You actually threw her into the water?" She sits up and wipes her tears. "What'd she do?" She giggles once again.
"She bloody well deserved it!" Cheryl exhales deeply, "You haven't seen Kimba's annoying side yet-"
"I think I've seen a bit of it," Madison giggles, "She's really funny.. I find her quite hilarious-"
"Don't go telling her that," Cheryl raises her eyebrow and winks at the teen. "She's already big headed thinking she gets us laughing-"
"You do laugh at her jokes.. Don't you?" Madison settles sideways into her seat and rests her elbow to the top of the chair.
"Course," Cheryl smiles, she mirrors the teens posture.
They face each other with beaming smiles.
"What's it like?" The teen boldly asks.
"What's what like?" Cheryl asks with a confused pout.
"Being in a relationship with a woman-"
"Oh," Cheryl laughs lightly, "It's.. Different?"
"Different? How?"
"This is an awkward topic to be having with me da-" She stops herself, "Enough with the questions." Cheryl clears her throat and averts her eyes from Madison's uncomfortable expression.
"Right," The teen clears her throat and licks the corners of her lips.
This action gets the smile back to Cheryl's appearance.
"Tell us something-"
"Something like?" Madison asks with a light smile.
"I don't know.. Something nobody knows."
The teen ponders the question.
So many secrets.
So many unsaid adventures.
So many.
"There's this place," She begins, "Nobody knows about-"
"Where is this place?" Cheryl smiles, the teen was slowly allowing the beautiful Geordie into her world. The secrets were being unraveled and spilt through her lips.
"It's a place... I like to go there when I'm not very happy, or when I just want to get away from everyone," Madison shrugs, "You think it's stupid-"
"I didn't say it was stupid." Cheryl scowls, "Don't put words into me mouth-''
"Well, that's what everyone thinks-"
"I'm not everyone." Madison smiles and turns her face away from Cheryl's gawking gaze.
"Now tell us," Cheryl speaks gently; she takes the teens hand into her own, without hesitancy, she strokes the silky skin.
"It's where my brothers buried.. There's a place near there I like to.. Just be." Madison breathes; she looks down at the affectionate strokes Cheryl was currently giving the palm of her hand.
"And what do you like to do there?" The Geordie asks; a touch to Madison's chin gets the teen to look back into Cheryl's eyes.
"Don't you have a place you escape to?" The teen asks with a sparkle in her eyes, "Everyone likes to escape from time-to-time.. Right?"
Cheryl smiles.
"Yeah," She whispers, "There's this park a few miles away from me house-"
"What do you like to do there?" She repeats the Geordies question.
"It helps us escape the world for a short while," They share a smile.
"Me too."
They fall into a peaceful silence, and all Cheryl could do was draw the teen back into her arms.
I've never been held this way.
Madison's mind was a broken record whenever she was around the older women. They made her feel things that were impossible to the soul, touches to the heart that were only dreamt of. This was unrealistic to her - this sudden love Cheryl had for her was questionable.
"Are you nervous?" Cheryl breaks the silence, her eyes cast around the empty ice cream shop. No sound to be heard but the low tunes swaying through the speakers dotted throughout the shop.
"No," Madison lies, "Are you?" She looks up to the Geordie.
"No." Cheryl lies.
They smile kindly at each other.
"I'm quite excited actually-"
"What do you think the results will be?" Madison asks and sits up from Cheryl's tight cuddle.
"Honestly?" The Geordie smiles, her hand reaches out and tucks a strand of hair behind the teen's ear.
"Yeah," Madison smiles, "Honestly." She shrugs.
"I think you're mine." The teen's heart drops a million miles; landing into a pit of rose petals.
She clears her throat, "What makes you so sure?"
"Your eyes," Cheryl smiles, she was unsure where her sudden boldness was coming from. But, she finds herself caressing the teen's cheek, and Madison allowed her, because secretly, she was selfish for the contact the Geordie was currently giving her.
"What about my eyes?" Madison frowns.
"You have me eyes-"
"My eyes are green." The teen rolls her eyes.
Cheryl smiles and retreats her hand back to her lap.
"You've got browns in your eyes," Cheryl begins to explain, her smile never disappears. "The beautiful browns rim around your pupil.. You've got an almond shape to them-"
"Almond what?" Madison giggles nervously.
"Your eye shape.. They're the same shape as mine."
"Loads have almond shaped eyes," The teen tries to push away the possibilities. "Nothing special."
"Your dimples-"
"A lot of people have dimples-"
"Your lips-"
"Are nothing like yours-"
"Your chin-"
"Just like any other chin-"
"Your bloody attitude!" Cheryl snaps, "You're always driving us mad!"
Madison holds back her laughs.
"Mum says-"
"Fcuk your Mum!" The teens eyes widen to Cheryl's outburst, "Do you know how many fcuking times you've mentioned her since we sat here-"
"Twice.. Three times max-"
"More than you fcuking should! Does she even know you're with us right now?" Madison remains quiet.
"Exactly!" Cheryl sighs angrily, "If you were me daughter-"
"If," Madison repeats her words, "If I was your daughter.. I'm not your daughter-"
"We'll find that out tomorrow.. Wont we?"
"Test results need a whole day for clinical lab to run them through their system-"
"Well then we'll have to wait a day!" Cheryl groans, "You've got an answer for everything! Don't you?"
"Mum say's," The teen pauses with a wink, "Oh did I mention her again-"
"Alright," Cheryl stands to her feet. "We're leaving-"
"Aw," Madison stands to her feet, "Is somebody sad?" The teen babyishly speaks; she pokes fun at the sulking Geordie.
Her giggles never stop as she's dragged out of the shop and forced into the passenger seat.
Cheryl tuts with a smile; she hides the grin and walks to the drivers side.
It was Madison's laughs; the overwhelming urge to grasp the teen and hold her with every fibber in Cheryl's body was growing rapidly. She didn't know how she's controlled herself for so long.
"Tonight was fun," Madison giggles, "We should do it again."
"Really?" Cheryl beams, "I mean.. Yeah.. I've enjoyed it I guess."
Madison bites her lower lip and suppresses the forming smirk.
She's amazing.
"I guess.. Whatever.. I'll see if I'm not busy."
They laugh.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow-" Madison cuts her off.
"I can have Jeffry drop me off-"
"No I'll pick you up. That's final." Cheryl argues.
The teen shrugs and settles further back into her seat.
Tomorrow's adventures give her sudden anxiety. Her thoughts are questionable, she's unsure what she wants the results to be, but here she was, smiling more than ever.
She's amazing. She mentally repeats.
"Did you tell your parents?" The word. Parents. It cuts Cheryl deeply; she wanted Madison to be hers.
She's mine.
The Geordie has convinced herself. With all the traits and qualities Madison held, it was impossible not to believe it.
"No.." The teen whispers, "I don't want them to get into this-"
"Why would they?" Cheryl frowns.
"I don't know," Madison shrugs, "Wouldn't you want to get involved if your daughter was secretly going to get DNA tests?" She asks boldly.
Cheryl gulps to the question.
"Of course," She clears her throat, "But I'd still let her do what she wants." She finishes with a shrug.
"You wouldn't at all be.. How do I word this?" Cheryl gives the teen as much time as she needed. "Be jealous?" Madison scrunches her nose as the words leave her mouth.
The Geordie stays quiet.
"Not like jealous.. But, well, yeah? Wouldn't you be upset or jealous your daughter wanted to get these tests?" She asks again.
"Yeah," Cheryl glances at the teen with a smile and returns her focus back to the road, "Of course I would.. I'd be very upset." She forces herself not to get emotional.
Madison sighs, she ponders what Clara and Connors reaction to all this would be.
Would they care?
Would they force me not to take the test?
A million scenarios play in the back of her mind, and all of them swept away as Cheryl's voice sounded once again.
"We're here," She smiles at the older woman, but the smile soon turns false with sadness washing over her.
I don't want to go home.
"Let us hug you goodnight," Cheryl leans over and pulls the teen into a tight cuddle. "I'll see you tomorrow." Madison sighs into the contact.
"See you tomorrow." The teen gives Cheryl a kiss to the cheek and rushes out of the car.
She curses herself for allowing a few walls to crumble.
Damn it.
The Geordie drives home with a sparkling smile, here she thought; Madison had finally allowed her in. Little did she know, Madison was beating herself up for taking a liking to Cheryl.
"Where have you been?" The teen is startled; she jumps in place and clutches her chest.
"Don't do that!" She hisses.
"Don't make me go out there and get your parents-" Madison cuts Abigail off.
"Are they still here?!" She screeches, "It's fcuking twelve o'clock-"
"Exactly!" The older woman cuts in, "Where the hell were you?" She narrows her eyes at the teen.
"I went for a walk-"
"A walk?" Abigail scuffs, "What were you doing in that car-"
"Leave me alone!" Madison groans and rushes up to her bedroom.
"Don't think I wont get it out of you!" She hears the older woman shout from the stairs.
Nothing could fade this smile, no one would tear her world down from this new euphoria.
Cheryl.
Kimberley.
Love.
She lies in bed that night, her eyes setting out to the skylight windows built above her. They show off the nightly sky.
The stars speak to her late that night; they dismiss all the painful thoughts away. Every twinkling star takes a little piece of her heart, and she naively gives her heart away to Cheryl that late twilight.
Inaudible would see whispered to the night, confessions secrets, wishes, and memories held firmly in her mind.
Please stay. She whispers.
Never leave me.
I've never felt this way before.
Her heart expresses words she'd never dared to reveal, they freely shoot up to the sky, and ignite stars into the twinkling illuminations flickering above her. The stars that guided her each night; speak back to her with gentle words.
Loving words.
Words she'd never receive from her parents.
Kimberley and Cheryl have managed to allow the teen to feel important in the shortest amount of space.
She falls asleep that night with tears streaking down the ends of her eyes, they weren't sad tears; in fact, she was erupting with euphoric fireworks.
A smile adorns her lips, and off she slipped into dreamland.
-------
Kimberley giggles and hangs onto the stripper she'd come to find out was Bridget. She was unaware of her state of mind; the alcohol had streamed and controlled her actions.
"There's stairs," Bridget holds the blonde closer, "Don't fall." She giggles girlishly.
"Mmm," Kimberley groans and hangs onto the woman, "Help me." She grumbles and wraps her arms tightly around Bridget's shoulders.
"Well don't fall," The stripper tuts, "Which room?" She asks with a sigh.
"Any," Kimberley huffs, "Are we almost there?" She moans.
Cheryl awakens with a confused expression. The clattering sounds, and muffled groans alert her instantly.
Just as she's ready to stand to her feet; in comes Bridget dragging Kimberley along with her.
"What in the fcuk!?" Cheryl rasps and bolts out of bed. "Who the fcuk are you!?" She growls.
The lights to the bedroom come on, along with Cheryl's anger.
She bubbles and boils with fury.
Kimberley mumbles inaudible words and falls on the bed.
"Well!?" Cheryl shouts, "Who the fcuk are you!!?"
Bridget fidgets in her spot, "Erm.." She clears her throat, "I came home with Kimberley?"
Cheryl's eyes shoot to her wife, who was now knocked out from all the alcohol she'd consumed that night.
"You came home with Kimberley?" Cheryl speaks calmly, but her eyes deceived her tone.
She's ready to kill the woman currently standing in front of her.
"Y-Yeah.. Er.. Who are you?-"
"GET THE FCUK OUT OF ME HOUSE!" The stripper jumps in her spot, the temper headed Geordie charges at her and drags the terrified woman out of their bedroom.
She stumbles and falls with each step down the grand stairs. Cheryl wasn't stopping, and all she could think about was murdering the woman being hauled out of the mansion.
"Don't you ever fcuking dare come near me house again!" Cheryl snarls and slams the door shut, never allowing Bridget to utter a single word.
She clenches her teeth, and with a deep breath she storms her way back up the stairs.
Kimberley snores loudly from exhaustion.
"Get up!" Her wife snaps, "Get the fcuk up!" She gives the sleeping blonde a rough shove, sending her flying to the ground.
"Hm w-What?" Kimberley's startled from her sleep, she squints and sits up on the floor. "Hm?" she groans again.
Cheryl's trying to speak, but the tears were forming quickly in her brown orbs.
"Who the fcuk was that?" Her voice rasps, "Why d-did she come home with you?"
Kimberley pouts with confusion. "Huh-"
"Don't you fcuking dare play stupid with us!" Cheryl shouts, "Get the fcuk up!" She charges at her and grasps Kimberley by her arms, and forces her up off the floor.
The blonde stumbles and hangs onto the Geordie.
"What the fcuk!?" Kimberley groans, "Let go!" She snaps.
"No!" Cheryl gives her a shove, "I'm sobering you up and you're explaining." Kimberley doesn't bother arguing, she allows her wife to drag her over to the sofa.
"Sit!" The Geordie aggressively throws her to the linen sofa, "I'm making you a coffee-"
"Let me sleep for Christ sake." Kimberley groans and rubs her temples, "You're giving me a god damn headache-"
"I don't care!" Cheryl takes a deep breath, "I'll be right back."
The blonde rolls her eyes and stays still as she waits impatiently for Cheryl to return with a steaming brew and water.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Cheryl repeats this breathing excursive. She was forcing herself not to cry, she was on the verge of a horrifying breakdown.
She wouldn't cheat.
She'd never cheat on us.
Shakily, she grabs a few painkillers and retreats back up to the bedroom.
"Here," She thrusts the brew into Kimberley's hand, along with the tablets
The blonde takes it without a word.
The geoordie sits across from her wife, and waits patiently for her to drink the steaming brew. Her mind works in circles, terrible images invade her, and she no longer could wait to hear Kimberley's explanation.
"Who was that?" She finds herself asking.
Kimberley stays quiet for a few more seconds.
"Bridget-"
"And who the fcuk is she?!" Her patience has been thrown out of the window, the temper now replaces her once calm aura.
"Stripper." Kimberley whispers, and Cheryl has heard her wife loud and clear.
"What the fcuk is a stripper coming into me house?! WITH ME FCUKING WIFE!!?"
The blonde's heart thump frantically, her once hazy state now clears with sobriety.
"J-Just some girl-"
Cheryl stands to her feet with rage in her eyes.
"Don't you fcuking tiptoe around this fcuking sh*t right now!" She shouts, "Tell us who THE FCUK SHE IS!!"
The blonde shakily sets her coffee down.
"Will you relax!?" She shouts back, "If you want to know who she is then sit your fcuking arse down-"
"You don't get to fcuking tell us what to do! Not after what I just fcuking witnessed!" Cheryl intakes a shaky breath, "Tell us who the fcuk she was-"
"I had too much to drink," Kimberley begins her explanation with a shrug. "You know what I can get like."
Cheryl closes her eyes, "Tell us what happened Kimberley." She whispers sadly.
"I don't know if I want to," Kimberley holds back a sob, "I'm sorry baby."
This is all it took for Cheryl to breakdown right before her wife's eyes. She falls to her knees and releases every howling cry that was held back.
"D-Don't t-tell us!" She cries out in pain, "Pl-Please don't tell us." The Geordie begs.
Kimberley looks away from the tragic scene occurring.
"I kissed her." She whispers, "And I brought her home."
Cheryl's cries fill the room.
"You-You bastard!" She howls out, "You fcuking b-bastard!" Her hands slam to the furred rug, she's in rage, her world had came crashing down to the words Kimberley had just confessed.
The blonde allows the tears to slip down her cheeks as she watches her wife lose all sanity.
With hesitation she slides off the sofa and catches Cheryl's fists as they go to slam on the floor once again.
"LET US GO!" The Geordie tries to fight the grip free, "LET US GO YOU FCUKING B*TCH!"
Kimberley doesn't release the grasp.
"It just happened!" She tries to speak calmly, "You have to believe that I would never cheat on-"
"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!" She cries, "GET OUT!" And finally, Kimberley releases her with those words.
The blondes tired heart beats slow, she can no longer watch her wife lose it.
Shakily she stands to her feet.
"I'll.. I'll stay in the pool house tonight." She walks out of the bedroom; with one last glance she sighs sadly and exits the room.
Cheryl is left behind trying to collect the pieces of her broken heart.
Kimberley hiccups and stammers her breaths; she too breaks that night. With the night slowly casting into yesterday, she closes her eyes and allows the darkness to consume her.
She's never felt so cold; the large bed makes her feel unsafe without Cheryl wrapped up in her arms.
What have a I done?
------
It's awkward.
The sound of chatter and giggles that once resonated through the home now fill with silence. The married couple shuffle around each other, no eye contact or words are being exchanged that bright morning.
The light that was once inside now replaces with gloomy sorrow.
She's ashamed of her wife.
She's broken and bruised.
Kimberley clears her throat and speaks up.
"What time will we be going today?" she asks hopefully.
Cheryl continues to busy herself with the cuppa she'd been making.
"I'm going regardless if you're in a mood with me or not."
The Geordie sets her stirring spoon down and for the first time, she meets the exhausted blue-greys.
She'd been crying.
"You're not coming," Cheryl speaks firmly, "I don't want you to be there-"
"I'm going." Kimberley chuckles dryly, "I want to be there for Madison more than anything-"
"She doesn't need you." Cheryl bites back, "I'm with her."
The blonde clenches her teeth and holds her cup of coffee in a tight grasp.
"Excuse me." She slams the mug onto the table and walks out, leaving a triumphant looking Cheryl behind.
Kimberley's tears fall unknowingly as she dials the teens number, she hides away in the piano room, the escape was needed from Cheryl.
"Don't tell me you's are coming now!" Madison speaks frantically, "I just got out of the shower, and I haven't got dressed, my hair is a mess-"
"Maddy," Kimberley giggles with teary eyes, "Calm down." She giggles again.
Madison has made the blonde feel happiness with just the sound of her angelic tone.
Kimberley sighs and leans against the large windows, her eyes cast freely out to the beautiful back garden view.
"Are you okay?" Madison frowns from the other end, "You don't sound alright."
Kimberley smiles weakly, "I'm fine.. Just wanted to see what you were doing."
It was the teens voice, it was her gentle care, and it was the innocence she found herself to be addicted to.
Madison.
My Madison.
"Cheryl said she was picking me up in an hour," The teen huffs, "I still have to get dressed, and my parents are home." She groans, "THEY ARE NEVER HOME!" She shouts.
Kimberley laughs.
"What are you going to tell them? Do they know?" The blonde asks, suddenly anxious as to what Clara and Connor would think of this sneaky behavior.
"No.." Madison sighs sadly, "I can't tell them." She whispers.
"Why?-"
"Just can't," The teen cuts her off, "Are you coming today?" She changes the subject. "I need you there Kimba.. I.. I didn't tell Cheryl but... I'm scared." She confesses.
Kimberley heart melts wholly.
"Of course I'm coming, I'd never let you's both go through this alone-"
"Promise you'll be there-"
"Hey now," Kimberley scowls, "I said I was going to come? Didn't I?"
The teen's insecurities were showing; the constant reassurance couldn't be ignored. All Kimberley wanted to do was help the teen feel appreciated and wanted.
Trust was needed to be built.
"Mhm," Madison mumbles, "I can't wait to see you.." She whispers her confession.
Kimberley smiles, the tears reform into her blue-greys.
"Me too sweetheart," She breathes, "Go on and get dressed, I'll see you in a few."
Madison nods, the words unable to be voiced. She didn't want Kimberley to hear the tremble in her tone.
"I love you." Kimberley speaks with tenderness, "See you soon." Knowing the teen wasn't going to return the I love you; she ends the call and sighs with sadness.
With another sigh, she returns back down to the kitchen finding Cheryl in the same spot she'd left her.
"I've just spoken to Madison," She gets her wife's attention, "She wants me there."
"Don't expect us to talk to you.. I will never forgive you." She grits her teeth and pushes past Kimberley.
"Are you going to get dressed?" The blonde calls out.
"I SAID I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU!" Cheryl shouts from the stairs.
"So is that a yes or a no?" Kimberley steps out of the kitchen with a growing grin.
Cheryl chooses to ignore her; she wasn't ready to speak to her. The hurt was too much, and the constant images of Kimberley and Bridget kissing, touching, and cuming together results the Geordie to lose her mind.
"I said don't talk to us." She whispers sadly, and continues her way up the stairs.
I guess the cheeky act won't get her to cave.
Kimberley moans as she mentally beats herself.
Please forgive me. She whispers.
With an exhalation she retreats back to the kitchen and waits for Cheryl to get ready for the day. She ponders last night's actions, her careless touches and kisses to the stranger.
This was a new low for her.
Cheryl comes to mind, and her eyes close with a sweet smile adoring her lips.
~~~~~
Her warm whispers.
Kimberley smiles and takes her girlfriend into a tight cuddle.
They stand in the middle of the pouring rain with hearts connecting in a noiseless melody.
"You're crazy!" Cheryl giggles and holds onto the blonde with every fiber in her. "What are you up to!?" Her hot breath hits against Kimberley's neck.
"I'm going to dance in the rain with you!" The blonde shouts over the pouring showers.
The darkness surrounds them, the moonlight hides away behind the dark clouds pouring and roaring loudly through the streets.
"Dance with me." Kimberley gives her girlfriend a sweet kiss and spins her around.
Cheryl's smile never leaves all throughout this spontaneous dance that her girlfriend had decided to enact.
She giggles and laughs, the abandon roads were perfect in the moment of memories being created.
"Dance with me!" Kimberley laughs, "You're beautiful!"
~~~~~
The tear slips and falls down the blonde's cheek, reality turns to clarity and just like that night her tears pour evermore.
"I'm ready," Cheryl's whispered words sound, it startles Kimberley and she's quick to wipe the sadness.
Cheryl looks away; she wasn't going to allow herself to give in that easily.
"Right," Kimberley clears her throat and grabs the car keys; she walks past Cheryl with her head down. The tears still pour, and she silently wills herself to control the emotions.
The Geordie takes a few moments to follow her.
A smile curls to her lips when walking out and seeing her car door already opened for her, with Kimberley sitting in the drivers seat; ready to go.
She silently climbs in.
The second Cheryl's door closed, Kimberley began the journey to the teen's house.
A smile forms with just the thought of seeing Madison again.
My Madison.
"I know I've said this already," Kimberley begins, "I really am sorry.. Darling you know I only love you." She quickly glances at the quiet Geordie and returns her gaze back to the road.
"I'm going to stay at a hotel for a while-" Kimberley slams and swerves the car off the road.
"AH!" Cheryl screams, her arms shield her face as the car comes to halting stop.
"LOOK AT ME!" The blonde rages, she grasps her wifes face tightly by the chin.
Cheryl gulps.
"Don't you dare!" She shouts, "Don't you fcuking dare!" With her emotions now seaming through her cracked heart, she lets them be known in front of the Geordie.
"Don't you dare!" She repeats in a cry.
Cheryl yanks her chin out of the tight grip.
"You don't deserve to cry," She whispers, "This is your doing." The cold tone in Cheryl's voice breaks Kimberley further.
She's taken her sanity, and all the reasoning to care for this life she's only ever loved since Cheryl came into it.
"P-Please." She hides her face away, the cries muffle against the palm of her hands. "I'll do anything." She begs.
Cheryl doesn't reply.
"You're my life-"
"You don't get to call us that anymore.. You don't have the fcuking right!" She screams out in agony, her hand slams to the headboard with aggression.
The pain shoots through her, but it doesn't faze the hotheaded Geordie.
She was breaking.
Kimberley turns away from her wife, she curls up into a vulnerable ball, the hiccups and sobs still sound through the compact space.
Their cries mix together in a disastrous tune.
Cheryl looks away from the blonde's vulnerable state, she knew she'd surrender if she allowed herself to take in the way Kimberley's body shuddered, and trembled from the breathless pants she was expressing.
Silenced minutes pass.
Kimberley breathes deeply and sits back up; she avoids the Geordie sat beside her. With shaky hands she begins their drive back to the open road, the tears still spill and she mentally fights herself to quite this ridiculous behavior.
This is my fault
I have to deal with the consequences.
"I-If," She begins with a hiccup, "If you need-need space I wont stop you." She sniffs.
Cheryl remains silent.
"Just know I didn't mean any of it."
Silence is still remained.
Deciding there was no getting through the geordie's head, she drives to Madison's house without another word.
------
The teen glances out of the kitchen window again, she sighs with annoyance.
Where are they?!
"What are you doing peering out there?" Clara walks into the kitchen.
Madison is startled, but is quick to compose her self.
"Oh," She clears her throat, "Cheryl is picking me up-"
"And why is she picking you up?" The mother asks with a raised eyebrow. She walks over to the teen and takes in her expression. "Are you lying?" She tests her trust.
"Lying?!" Madison gasps, "When have I ever lied-"
"Madison.."
"That was once.. Twice," The teen rolls her eyes, "I swear Cheryl and Kimberley are picking me up-"
"Aren't you not in the competition anymore?" Clara pushes, "What are they picking you up for-"
"They're having all the contestants come together.. Even the ones that went home." She lies.
Clara belives it.
"Alright," She sighs, "When will you be home?"
"What's with all the questions?" Madison groans, "Just because you's are home today-"
"We're not home today," Clara cuts her off. "That's why I'm asking, we're going out in a few minutes, I need to know when you'll be home so I make sure Abigail doesn't lock you out."
The teen's heart breaks.
Of course they didn't want to spend time with me.
Naïve child.
"I don't know," She tries not to let her sadness be known, "I'll text you?"
Just as the words left her lips, the ding to her phone chimes to life.
The smile returns.
We're outside! x
"Bye Mum!" She runs out of the kitchen and ignores the words Clara shouts to her.
The smile beams widely, the afternoon winds blow with bliss, and suddenly.. She was happy.
"Hi!" Madison greets the couple as she climbs into the back, "I told Mum I was with you's." She doesn't notice the discomfort between the couple; her mind was far too occupied with the seatbelt she'd been fighting.
"She think's its for the competition - bloody thing!" She groans and finally clips it into place, "So what's the plan for today? Are we just going to get the tests? It's really nice out maybe we can go for lunch or something after-"
"Breathe babe," Cheryl giggles and glances back at the teen with a smile, "We can do what you like-"
"Really?" She smiles, "Then in that case I want to go to Soho after-"
"What's in Soho?" Kimberley interacts, the earlier tears have washed away, the teens aura has brought her back to a euphoric sanity.
"There's this furniture shop-"
"You want to go to a furniture shop-" She cuts Cheryl off.
"No its.. Well.. It's a nice shop yeah? We can get some ice cream or whatever. I mean only if you's want.. We don't have to. Forget it." She rambles.
The married couple giggle, their eyes meet for a second and quickly avert.
"We can do whatever you want," Cheryl smiles, "Let's get these tests done first." Reaching out, the Geordie gives the teen's knee an affections squeeze.
Madison smiles with a fluttering heart.
"You look really beautiful by the way," The teen blushes at the compliment and averts her eyes nervously.
"Thanks," She clears her throat. "So.. Are you ready?" Madison asks.
She glances at Kimberley through the rearview mirror; meeting the blue-greys for a split second. The weary in the once warm eyes gets her to feel uneasy.
Cheryl gets her attention back.
"Yeah," The Geordie speaks to the teen all the way to the clinic, her body turned around and interacting with Madison with full interst. "I'm going to be honest with you-"
"I'll be honest first," The teen cuts her off with a nervous giggle, "I'll probably cry-"
"You are scared of needles too?" Cheryl giggles.
"You too?" The Geordie nods with a pout.
"I'll need you by me side then wont I?" She gives her wink.
"I'm sure we'll both need Kimba," Madison notices the blondes quietness, it was unlike Kimberley not to give cheeky remarks, or intermingle with the teen.
Something isn't right. Her gut feeling speaks up loudly in her working mind.
"Wont you Kimba?" She asks.
Kimberley glances through the mirror and gives the teen a wink.
"I'll be right by your side-"
"By our side.. Cheryl needs you too." Madison's warm smile gets the blonde to melt with just a simple glance.
"Yeah," Kimberley clears her throat and sighs with relief as they arrive to the private practice.
No paparazzi in sight.
Madison waits until the married couple is out of the car, she doesn't climb out until Kimberley opens her door.
"Is someone getting a little too spoilt for me?" The blonde giggles and carefully helps Madison out.
The teen shrugs and surprises Kimberley with a hug.
"Hi," She breathes into the cuddle.
Cheryl looks away from the affection and walks ahead of them.
"Are you okay?" Madison asks when noticing the Geordie was out of sight.
"I'm fine-"
"Don't lie," The teen frowns, "Are you okay?" She asks once more.
"I'm more than fine. I've got you in my arms right now." Madison giggles and releases the cuddle as it naturally comes undone.
Kimberley doesn't hesitate when taking the teens hand into her own; there was a sense of love that cursed through her blood. Madison was making the blonde feel a new type of love, it was addicting, and the need to have Madison around her all the time was growing with desire.
They catch up to Cheryl who was filling out paperwork for the tests.
"Our appointment is coming up," the Geordie speaks with little interest to the teen.
She was jealous.
"Alright," Madison shares a look with Kimberley. "Do you know how long-"
"Like I said," She cuts her off, "It's coming up.. Take a seat." Cheryl walks to reception and gives her the paperwork she'd filled out.
"Don't I need to fill out anything?" The teen asks with a frown. "And why is she being such a b*tch all of a sudden?"
Kimberley shrugs, although she knows what her wife's reasoning was.
The teen huffs and sits in the leathered seat.
Time ticks, and all Madison could think was if she'd done something wrong to the older woman.
"Madison?" Comes the nurse's voice, "Cheryl?"
With a deep breath, the teen takes Kimberley's hand in her own and follows Cheryl to the private room.
"This will be a quick procdure, Madison?" The teen meets the nurses eyes, "You'll go first.. Sit here love." She pats the seat and beckons her over.
"Please don't let go." Madison whispers to Kimberley and holds on tighter.
The blonde smiles and stands beside the frightened teen.
"You wont feel a thing... Take a deep breath." The nurse speaks gently, Madison hides her face away into the blondes chest.
She whimpers with the needle easing into her skin.
"Deep breaths," The nurse reminds her.
In the moment of tears, Madison meets Cheryl's eyes.
And suddenly, all she wanted was to belong to the couple.
I hope she's my real Mum. She mentally begs to a higher power.
Cheryl smiles at the teen, it reassures Madison, and it helps her relax for an instant.
"And.... Done." She comes back to reality.
"That's it?" She sniffs, Kimberley helps her to stand back up. "Are we done?" She asks.
"Just need Cheryl's blood now-"
"Go to Cheryl," The teen pouts and gives Kimberley a gentle push.
"She'll be fine-"
"Go." She insists.
Madison sits down at an empty chair with a grin. Her hand mindlessly places over the fresh plaster to her skin.
"Just hold my hand." Kimberley huffs, Cheryl hesitates before taking the gentle hand that once touched her heart with love.
Cheryl closes her eyes with a whimper.
Kimberley smiles, it was as if Madison was in her arms once again.
The Geordie presses her face into her wife's chest and takes deep breaths until the blood was out of her system.
"Alright," The nurse laughs lightly, "We're all done here." She holds up the blood filled tubes.
"You're all set to go.. The tests should be ready by tomorrow. You'll need to come in for the results."
Madison's heart picks up in speed.
"Okay thank you." Kimberley thanks the nurse and keeps her hand clutched to Cheyrl's.
"Come on Maddy," She takes the teens hand and leads them back out to the car.
"Let's spend this day without worrying over those tests?" Kimberley was going to do everything she could to get the girls smiling with genuine thoughts and easing breaths.
"Climb in," She opens their car doors.
Cheryl doesn't protest, because right now, all she needed was her Kimberley.
"So.. Soho?" She glances back at the uneasy teen.
Madison timidly nods with a smile.
"I'll even let you convince me to buy an armchair," This gets the teen to laugh sincerely.
"There's this armchair I want.." The married couple allow Madison to ramble on once again.
They all needed each other in this moment.
