|| Chapter 133 ||

Author's POV

Morning fell peacefully; the snow had completely melted and in return the sun was kissing the ground. The sound of birds could be heard; their large acre of land was a piece of heaven on earth.

Madison sighs as she awakens, the sun beaming through her windows brings a smile to her face and soul. She's missed the sun; gloomy England was never her friend. She rolls around, getting comfortable once more, wanting to fall asleep for just a little while longer.

Her eyes abruptly fly open, the sound of her parents' bed banging against the wall only results to her shouting. "STOP!!" She yelps, hearing silence in return.

She sighs.

The banging only seems to return after a short few seconds.

She stands to her knees and bangs the sides of her fists against the wall, the sound of her parents giggling echoes through the thick walls. "I SAID STOP!" She wanted to gag, this time she climbs out of bed and calls it an early morning, surely she wasn't going to get much sleep after that.

She waddles her way to the large en-suite, the sun seemed to follow her through every which path she acquired, this results her smile to return.

She really did love this house. This bathroom was far too large, but there was something so cozy and welcoming regardless of its immense space.

Madison takes her time that morning, filling herself a warm bath, throwing in a few dried rose petals and watching them come back to life in the heated water. Scented oils were poured along with the petals, candles were lit, and the sun wasn't going anywhere; she wanted it to stay forever.

She sighs as she emerges herself into the steaming water, her head lent back as she inhales the honey scents lingering in the air. This is the most relaxed she's been, she can't remember the last time she had a bubble bath, she can't remember the last time she felt so at peace.

It didn't last long.

Cheryl welcomes herself into the tranquil space, a silk robe wraps her modesty away.

"Good morning," She walks through the en-suite doors.

Madison is startled, quickly hiding her own modesty under the bubbles. "Can you not?!" She huffs, "I can't get a single second to meself without the both of youse either waking me up with your god-awful sex frenzy or interrupting me bath time!"

Cheryl smirks, perching herself on the end of the tub, "You're cute when you go all Geordie on us." She gives her a cheeky wink.

Madison tuts her lips, rolling her eyes.

"Sorry about that." Cheryl pulls a face, referring to her and Kimberley's early morning sex manic.

"S'fine. I should be used to it by now anyways."

Cheryl giggles, "A little birdy told us you wanted to talk to us?"

"That birdy you're referring to better not be Mum."

"Well," Cheryl pouts, "That birdy is blonde... With blue eyes... Talks a whole lot."

They share a giggle.

"This is nice," The Mam looks around, "Got yourself your own little spa going on over here."

"Was. Was having a nice bath until you interrupted it." She huffs.

"Can I join—"

"Don't make it weird." The Teen gags, not knowing her Mother was only joking.

Cheryl laughs, "You remind us a lot of meself, ya'no."

"God forbid I was your daughter."

Cheryl's smile falls slightly, "Are you upset with us?"

Madison shakes her head, telling the complete truth. "Not anymore."

"But you were mad at us."

The Teen looks down at the bubbles, rustling the water gently, "Well yeah." She shrugs, "How would you feel if you were in my shoes?" She pouts, looking up at her Mam for a slight second before returning her focus to the bubbles.

"Can you come out of the water so we can talk? I promise I'll run you another bath after."

The teen sighs softly, giving in.

Cheryl hands her the fuzzy robe hung.

Madison follows her back out into the bedroom, ready to have that talk.

"C'mere." Cheryl settles down into the sofa, beckoning her daughter over. This reminded Madison of her Mum last night and how comforting and full of love their conversation was. She slowly walks over, allowing her Mam to pull her down to her lap, cuddling her close.

She sighs against The Geordie's chest, mindlessly drawing patterns against the silk crème colored gown Cheryl was wearing.

Cheryl places a gentle kiss to the top of her daughter's head, inhaling the innocent scent.

"You okay?" She asks, getting a nod from the Teen.

They sit in silence, it wasn't awkward, it felt like home to Madison. "I don't hate you," She says, making sure her Mother knew.

"I would hope not." Cheryl chuckles lightly, her hand running up and down along her daughter's back. She gives her another kiss to the head. "Your Mum and I couldn't love you any less—"

"I know Mum told me yesterday." Madison sighs softly, clinging closer to her Mam.

"I understand now though." Cheryl breathes, "I know why it's so hard for you."

The Teen remains still.

"You probably hated us for the longest time, you probably had imaged us already having a family... already having this great life going for us." She sighs, "I wasn't happy Madison." She confesses, "Your Mum, yeah, she made us happy of course... but I wasn't happy internally. I would smile and laugh, but there was always that missing piece niggling in the back of me mind reminding us how miserable I really was."

Madison looks up at her Mam, leaning the side of her head against the Geordie's warm shoulder.

"How could I possibly be happy without you in me life. Giving you away was a mistake, I know it was... and I made sure to remind meself every single day."

"Mam," Madison whispers, "I know now. I promise. You're right about everything though... I always imagined you with kids and a husband that loved them wholeheartedly. I never imagined you to not have any kids because of me... I accept it now. I promise. I don't want you to hold onto it." She wraps her arms tightly around her mother's slim waist, burying her face against her chest.

Cheryl sniffs, a tear trickles down her cheek, thankful that chapter has finally closed.

--------

"Stupid rain!" Kimberley huffs, "We're moving to a different country – AH!" Lightning bolts and cracks loudly as she says those words, "Fine!" She speaks to herself, washing the rest of the dishes in the sink.

"When are they due?" Madison asks, walking into the kitchen with her Mam, both holding dirty dishes from dinner. "Do you think I should meet them?" She asks, unsure.

"Why would you not meet them? Of course, I want you to meet them." Chery giggles, handing her wife the dishes and walking the rest of the way to the fridge. "What do you want to drink?"

"Nothing." Madison and Kimberley say in unison.

"Suit yourselves."

"What time are they coming?" Madison repeats her question.

"Any minute now I'd say."

The Teen sighs. "I don't know if it's a good idea to sit with youse—"

"Why are you fidgeting?" Kimberley raises an eyebrow.

Madison groans, "Girls make me nervous okay?"

Both Cheryl and Kimberley giggle.

"I'm being serious!" She huffs, "They're bullies, they always seem to target me like I bloody murdered their dog – by the way I want a puppy."

"A puppy?" Kimberley turns the water off, "That's a no from me—"

"But—"

"No buts – I'm not cleaning up after a dog, I know youse both will leave me responsible for its sh*t."

"We're not getting a dog, end of." Cheryl gulps her water down, "No arguing." She points a finger at a pouting Madison.

"You hate me."

"I know, It's a hard life." Just as Cheryl says those words, the gate doors ring, taking her attention away from her pouting daughter. "That's probably them." She looks at the screen, and opens the gates instantly.

"Mummy." Madison whispers, just as Cheryl walks out of the kitchen.

"Don't play the Mummy card, that's not fair."

Madison whines, slumping down to the counter. She can hear her Mam greeting the girls in the background, she couldn't seem to find her confidence today, apparently empty from it all.

"So glad you girls made it!" Cheryl excitedly lets them in, "Lets head into the studio space down the hall, make yourselves comfortable while I get youse something to drink."

"Please don't trouble yourself."

"No trouble here, me wife will do it." They erupt into laughter, Cheryl making her way back over with a smile on her face.

"Me wife will do it." Kimberley mocks her, "You're hilarious." She says as she brings out a serving tray and sets drinks of all sorts on it.

"You know you're me favorite person in the whole world." Cheryl sighs dramatically, pouting her lips for a kiss, in which Kimberley grants the kiss.

Madison rolls her eyes.

"Come on, Maddy." Cheryl nods her head towards the door, holding the tray tightly.

"What?"

"Come meet the girls."

The Teen shakes her head, "It's okay—"

"Come on, sweets." Cheryl pouts, "If I feel like they're being nasty I'll kick them out."

Kimberley smirks, "Into the rain."

Madison giggles, "Fine." She clings to her Mam as they walk down the hallway, the sound of girls chatting and giggling becomes more clear as they near.

"I've brought someone along." Cheryl says as they walk in, setting down the tray of drinks before taking hold of her daughter's hand. "This is me daughter, Madison."

"You're gorgeous." One says.

"Oh my god Cheryl she looks just like you."

"Aw she's so cute."

"Hi Madison."

To the Teens surprise, she finds herself greeting them back and smiling.

"Come on, let's have a sit down." Cheryl never lets her daughter leave her side, they all get comfortable on the sofas, relaxing back and exchanging ideas for the future.

"I noticed youse were American." Madison says.

"Yeah – oh we should probably introduce ourselves!" She claps wildly, giggling. "I'm Camilla." She found her to be very warming.

"I'm Lauren." The rasp in her voice caught her attention.

"I'm Normani."

"I'm Dinah!" She smiles, giving a quick wave.

"And I'm Ally."

Cheryl smiles as she witnesses her daughter exchanging conversation with the group of girls, glad they were off to a good start.

"So!" Cheryl interrupts the endless chatter, "Let's start with the group name!"

"The girls and I were thinking of Fifth Harmony."

Cheryl smiles, taking in the name. "I love it, what do you think Maddy?"

"Me?" The Teen is taken by surprise.

"Yeah." Cheryl giggles.

"I like it." She shrugs, "It's catchy. I'd definitely remember that name."

"Well that's settled then." Cheryl claps, "Now I'm getting excited."
