||Chapter 11||
-Author's POV-
It was the awkward tension between the contestants that could be cut with a knife. The jealousy that settled in the home was obvious, and Madison was trying to busy herself with anything and everything. It seemed to be that none of the girls could stand the sight of her; her presence was infuriating them.
"She doesn't deserve to be here" She'd heard them whisper. Jessica had made it through, and in the slightest of her anger, she blamed Cheryl for allowing such a foul girl to be part of the final four. Ella, and Kaylee follow the mean girl posse; all she could do was make distance for her sake.
"Has everyone got their cases?" Cheryl speaks with a smile; Kimberley stands beside her wife and holds her hand with affection, giggling sweetly into her ear. Their love rekindled as Cheryl had done what the blonde requested.
Oh god. Not two hours of this sh!t again?! Madison mentally groans.
"Yeah! All packed and ready to go!" Ella speaks up, her voice too Cheery for Madison's liking. Here she goes again, arse-licking Cheryl. She mentally rolls her eyes.
"Alight you lot, let's get this show on the road!" With whoops and cheers, they walk out of the large home, leaving their worries behind.
"Mmm I love you" Kimberley purrs into her wifes ear, placing sweet kisses to her neck. Cheryl smiles, and sighs to the affection being placed against the smoothness of her skin.
Madison drags her case, the last out of the girls following behind. She was in no hurry to get back home; she was upset with her parents who haven't answered any of her calls. She'd received a call off Jeffery informing the teen that her parents were in meetings all day and night.
Too busy to answer one f!cking call.
So, she does what she knows best, she doesn't complain, simply smiles when spoken to. Madison never showed her true feelings, she didn't know how. Love was uncertain in her life; did her parents really love her? Or did they love their successful careers more? Would they leave their meetings for a day? Would they give her their time? She'll never know it.
The large van drives everyone to the airport. Madison chooses to sit in the far back, her eyes fixated on the world passing, scenery changing right before her eyes.
"I say we get a McDonald's before going to the airport" Cheryl speaks up, the girls agree with claps of excitement.
"Mum says it's not really good to have fast food before a flight" She says unintentionally, she'd never filter her thoughts before voicing them. Now they're going to think you're a fcuking child! Wayta go Madison.
"Does your Mum tell you when to use the toilets too?" Kaylee teases, getting Jessica and Ella to join in.
"What else does your Mummy tell you to do?" They laugh at her.
"Baby Madison" They continue their laughter. Her eyes never leave the window; she can feel Cheryl and Kimberley looking at her with sympathy.
"That's not very nice girls" Cheryl tries to sound serious, she didn't want to pick sides; after all, she was all of their mentors.
"Aw! It's funny" Jessica giggles, "She's practically still a child-"
"How's about you go fcuk yourself!" Madison growls, her teeth grit together in anger.
"Oh my god!" Jessica howls out in laughter, "She's even cuter when she gets angry!" She coos and goes in to pinch the teens cheeks. Madison grasps her fingers and twists them with aggression.
"What the fcuk man!" Jessica winces with pain "Let me go! Fcuking b*tch!"
"Don't fcuking touch me!"
"Alright! Enough, that's enough!" Cheryl reaches out and pulls Jessica back into her seat, forcing the teens to settle down. Kimberley and Madison lock eyes for a moment, but the younger girl can't take the compassion in Kimberley's blue eyes.
"I was thinking of getting a salad before the flight, I remember when I had fast-food that one time.. Remember baby?" Kimberley takes the attention off Madison.
"Oh yeah should probably get a salad too" Cheryl agrees, quickly, she looks back at the sulking teen. Madison is away with the fairies, her pout firmly placed as she looks out with sad eyes.
-
Madison decides against getting any sort of food, she isolates herself from everyone. The need to get home was needed for her, she wanted her bed, her teddy bear, and most of all, she wanted her parents.
She sighs and slumps into the airport seat. Time was ticking and their flight would soon be called.
"You think she's okay?" Kimberley asks, she speaks in a low whisper. She wasn't okay with her wife's choice of contestants, she found them to be bullies. They constantly were up her wife's arse, and she was always the jealous type.
"She just needs a minute to herself" Cheryl smiles at the blonde, placing kisses to her temple.
"That was a bit mean don't you think?" Kimberley's eyes look at the other girls before meeting Cheryl's brown orbs.
"They were just teasing her-"
"That wasn't teasing, it was more like bullying."
"Let's not do this now." Cheryl tries to speak softly; her wife's protection to the teen was questionable.
"Fine." Kimberley pulls away from Cheryl's touch, sulking back in her seat. She focuses on the book in hand, pretending to read the small print to the white paper.
"Don't start with that" Cheryl whispers, but of course the blonde was stubborn and always wanted it her way.
"Kimberley." Again, nothing but silence is given to the Geordie. Kaylee and Ella raise their eyebrows at each other, questioning the scene with a confused shrug.
"I'll talk to them-"
"Talk to them now." Cheryl shakes her head.
"I'm not having this conversation with them now.. Not in front of all these people-"
"Fine, then you wont be having a conversation with me." The blonde shifts away from an aggravated Cheryl.
"You can't be-"
"Boarding call for London, flight 34" Cheryl closes her mouth and stands with a huff.
"Well, come on then." She nudges her wife, but Kimberley doesn't budge.
"I expect you to be on that flight right next to us." Cheryl hisses and walks away, her contestants trail behind. Kimberley releases the smile she'd been holding back, her eyes shift and set out for Madison. The teen collects her things and walks past the blonde, unknowing of the blue-greys shadowing her.
Kimberley's smile never leaves her expression as she too gets on the plane. She's giggly, and filled with complete euphoria. Never has she felt this way, and she asked herself over and over again. What is happening to me?
"Glad to see you've changed your mood." Cheryl rolls her eyes, the Geordies mood evident to her wife.
"Aw, don't be mad at me." Kimberley leans in a gives her an unexpected kiss, getting the dimpled grin back out in full.
"I can't wait to go home actually-"
"Why's that?" Cheryl asks naively, Kimberley's grin grows, edging closer; she presses her lips to her innocent wife's ear.
"So I can f!ck you" Cheryl's entire body throbs with the tone Kimberley chooses. She giggles it off masking her body heat that's rising with desire.
"Stop it." Cheryl continues her girly giggles as Kimberley presses hot kisses to her neck, trailing them to the smiling Geordies lips. The blonde can't seem to keep her hands off the Geordie beauty sitting beside her. Never in all her life, never did Kimberley long for her partners touch, with Cheryl; she needed the physical contact.
"Kimba-" She cuts her off with a fierce kiss, sealing their lips with laughs and smiles.
Madison's eyes haven't stopped rolling, even with her seat back to the couple, she can still hear them giggling loudly.
"Are they fcuking serious right now?" She grunts, Ella shrugs, the blonde teen was in no mood to speak to Madison.
"Are you always complaining?" She had to ask.
"What?" Madison furrows her eyebrows, she's confused and hurt with the question.
"You haven't stopped complaining since you entered this bloody competition.." Madison shuffles uncomfortably, her eyes shift.
"I don't complain.. Just say my opinion really-"
"So all your opinions are complaints?" She chooses to remain silent. Can't even talk without getting judged.
"Exactly" Ella laughs dryly and sticks her headphones on, allowing Madison to curse freely under her breath without being heard.
The plane takes off with speed, her green eyes never looking anywhere but the seat in front of her. Losing time and space, her moment in the present life diminishes as the imaginary imageries settle in her dazed line of vision. She tries to think happily, her parents, her life, and most of all, she thinks about Chris and what he would be doing in this moment.
If you can hear me Chris, haunt them all.
She releases a giggle, laughing at her stupidity.
Sighing with a huff, she settles back in her seat.
Kimberley gives her wife a knowing nudge. Cheryl doesn't need to ask what she's requesting, they have come such a long way in their relationship that unspoken words were loud and clear.
"Fine.. Just go call her for us. Do you mind sitting next to one of the contestants?" Kimberley beams widely and gives her a quick kiss, repeatedly, over and over again. Cheryl mirrors the blondes smile with each quick smack placed to her lips.
"I love you, you're the best." Cheryl watches Kimberley get off her seat to call Madison. She's so wrapped up in her thoughts. What's going on between those two? Why does Kimba want us to talk to her so bad?
The blonde walks with a smile, and with a deep breath she approaches Madison.
"Hey Maddy?" She gives the teen a soft shake.
"What?" Madison replies with her eyes closed.
"Erm.. Cheryl wants to have a word with you-"
"Sleeping." She replies with blunt words.
"Please can you just go and see what she wants?" Kimberley bites her lower lip; she catches Ella nosily listening in on their conversation. It was a good job Madison had chose to sit in the aisle seat, making it easier to communicate with the stubborn teen.
Madison opens her eyes to a nervous looking Kimberley.
"What's she want?"
"If I knew I'd tell you-"
"Why do you look so nervous?" Madison challenges.
"Would you stop with the questions and just go see what she wants?" Kimberley shouts in a whisper.
"Fine." The teen stands to her feet and pushes her way past the older woman. She licks the corners of her mouth, nervously making her way to Cheryl.
"Hi" Kimberley sighs and takes Madison's seat with an expressive smile.
"H-Hi" Oh here we go, we've got an awkward one on our hands. Kimberley mentally rolls her eyes.
Madison stands beside Cheryl, waiting to be acknowledged by the Geordie too engrossed in her magazine to notice the impatient teen.
"You needed me?" She asks with attitude.
"Mm yeah have a seat" Cheryl speaks, her eyes never leaving the glossed paper.
"I'm not taking a seat, what is it you need?" Cheryl sighs with annoyance and sets her magazine down for the first time.
"Would you sit down?" She asks with a hiss. Madison rolls her eyes and sits with her arms folded across her small chest. Showing Cheryl that she was in no mood to converse with her.
"Do you want to go far?" The Geordie asks, her brown orbs always looking out for nosey listeners.
"Far? There are a million answers to that question-"
"You know damn well what I'm talking about" Again, Madison rolls her eyes.
"Stop with the damn eye rolling. I swear to god you're ticking us right off-"
"You have anger issues-" Cheryl gasps with wide eyes.
"I do not! You're the one that gets us going!" Madison smirks, obviously impressed with pissing the Geordie off without even trying.
"Are you starting? Are you starting with us now?!" Cheryl makes a sound; it's filled with aggravation and frustration. This only gets Madison laughing, and gets Cheryl even more raged.
"Okay.. Okay I'm cool." Madison releases one last girly giggle, "What is it you wanted? I'm sure you'd rather be exploring your wife's tonsils than have me sitting here"
"You need to respect us, I'm your mentor-"
"So what does that make you? God?" Cheryl counts to ten, she needed patience with this teen. She wasn't sure where she would find the patience, but she needed it now.
"No it bloody- you know what. You need to listen to me when I talk-"
"I'm listening to you right now, otherwise I wouldn't be answ-" Cheryl clasps her hand over Madison's mouth. This doesn't faze her as she continues to talk with her words muffling against the Geordies palm.
"We have to get along in order to work together" Madison stops her talking, and gives in. She's allowing Cheryl to speak and keep her mouth shut the entire time.
"Can I take me hand off now?" Madison nods in response. Cheryl wipes the palm of her hand against the teen's shirt, pretending to be disgusted with the evident saliva left against her skin.
"Thanks" Madison says sarcastically.
"Are we going to have a proper talk now?" Again, Madison nods.
"I'm not going to just be your mentor you know," Cheryl begins "I'm going to be your best friend, your sister, and even like a Mam to you-"
"I have a Mum, I don't need another Mum." The teen replies dryly.
"Okay, I wont be like a Mam then.. Erm.. Look," Cheryl is suddenly nervous and she doesn't know why. She curses herself for being so opened with her emotions.
"This competition is going to get harder and harder, and if you want to make this a fun journey, then we have to get on with each other.. Don't you want this competition to leave you with happy memories?"
"I guess" Madison shrugs, she doesn't speak what her mind was swirling. Keeping quiet and bottling everything up was her specialty.
"Me wife really likes you, I hope you know that." Cheryl smiles as she catches a glimpse of her prying wife looking back every second or two. "She doesn't like anyone that easily.. Now that I think about it, she doesn't really like anyone." They laugh.
"She's nice." She replies simply, her emotions and feelings kept locked away.
"Is this going to be a new chapter for us?" Madison nods with a small smile.
"I'll try to tone it down.. but, I can't help it. This is my personality, you can't just ask someone to change their personality for you-"
"That's not what I'm asking you to do sweets," It was the pet name Cheryl voiced. Madison's body relaxes to it.
"I just want us to let each other get on, without bickering all the time." She explains. Madison nods, unable to use her voice in this special moment. Cheryl bravely opens her arms, inviting the teen into her arms. The Geordie craved Madison's touch, the moment they shared back at the judges houses erupted something deep within her.
Madison hesitates, but soon falls into the older woman's arms. Unintentionally she sighs with comfort, Cheryl's scent intoxicates her, melting every part of her soul.
Kimberley watches the scene with a light smile.
"So that's a deal then?" They pull apart, Madison misses the contact instantly - the contact she'd been craving from another human. Selfishly, she wanted to hold onto Cheryl, but mentally she curses herself for giving in.
"Mm yeah sure.." She trails off and quickly stands to her feet. "I'm going back to my seat now" Before Cheryl has a chance to reply, the teen was rushing back to her seat. Madison speaks inaudible words to herself.
'What the fcuk is wrong with you?!' She scolds herself.
"Okay you can go back now" She urges Kimberley to get up. The blonde pouts and stands to her feet, Madison is unable to meet the grey orbs, she sits with a huff and fiddles with her phone, frantically searching for a song to calm her nerves.
"Everything okay-"
"Yeah fine. Your wife is waiting for you." Still, Madison keeps her eyes focused on the screen in hand. Kimberley holds her position for a few seconds, but she finds it's no use with the stubborn and moody teen. She sighs and walks back to her wife.
"What did you tell her?" Cheryl frowns at her wife's stern tone.
"Nothing.. We're good. She agreed to play nice-"
"Well she didn't seem alright to me-"
"Kimberley please. Enough." Cheryl sighs irritably. Kimberley sulks back in her seat, and busies herself with the book she's yet to read, Madison occupying every thought.
The plane journey fills each woman with irritation. Kimberley wanting attention from her upset wife, and Cheryl infuriated with Kimberley's constant fussing over the teen.
Madison's world is in a never-ending tunnel; she's desperately searching for the light. She wants out, she wants to find the cure to ease her unloving heart. The love she wished to get from her parents. I know they love me, they're busy, it's fine.
-
"Are you mad at me?" Kimberley whispers to her wife, Cheryl smiles and reaches out for the blonde's hand.
"Nah," She gives a smiling Kimberley a kiss. They walk through the empty airport with beaming smiles.
"I love you" The blonde giggles and leans her weight into Cheryl's side.
"I love you" Comes the reply, both filled with complete euphoria. The contestants trail closely behind the couple. Cheryl was silently glad the airport wasn't packed with strangers, but that wouldn't stop the paparazzi from lingering outside as they wait for their arrival.
"Has everyone called for their lift?" Cheryl stops just before the departing doors.
"Yeah my parents are coming to pick me up" Comes Ella's reply, followed by Jessica and Kaylee's nod of heads.
"Madison?" Cheryl focuses the question on the teen.
"Hmm?" She plays it off as if she didn't hear the question.
"Did you call for your lift home?"
"Oh yeah," She laughs nervously "Should already be here actually." Cheryl thinks nothing into it, where as Kimberley can see the anxious and fidgety body language.
"Alright you lot," Cheryl speaks with excitement; she releases the tight clasp her wife was holding on to.
"I'll be seeing you's in two days, come on, let's get a group hug in." All three girls hurry into the Geordies opened arms, Madison waits a few seconds, and hugs with distance. She didn't want to fall for Cheryl's warm touch.
"See you Cheryl!" Jessica says, they hug coming to a natural undoing.
"Bye girls" Cheryl takes a few steps, but is stopped with Kimberley's hand. She turns around with a questioning pout, the contestants fall back, each find their parents, all but Madison sitting in arrival.
"Maybe we should wait until everyone's safely gone home?" Kimberley asks, she was trying to be discreet, but Cheryl could read right into her unspoken words.
"She said her parents were coming, come on baby, I'm really tired." The brunette whines.
"Please Chez?" She pouts, and it takes everything in Cheryl to reject her. But of course, she gives in immediately.
"Fine." Kimberley smiles widely; her cheeks growing sore from the beam. They approach the teen, who's too engrossed in her cellphone to pay any attention or acknowledge their presence.
"Your parents almost here?" Cheryl asks, trying her best not to sound irritated with the waiting.
"Yeah." Comes the blunt reply.
"We'll wait until they come" Kimberley takes a seat beside Madison, the teen grows annoyed with the constant insisting the blonde had been doing for her.
"They said they were coming, can you two please just leave me be?" Cheryl frowns at Madison's tone; here she thought she'd made some progress with her attitude.
Without another word, Cheryl sits beside her wife. Almost as if she'd been told off, she's upset with the affect the teen had on her.
"Okay, well we'll wait since they're almost here" Kimberley says, she sits back and turns to her wife. Ignoring any remark the teen would voice.
"What are we doing once we get home? Are you hungry?" Madison clenches her jaw; she felt the need to scream. She had a feeling the blonde was purposely trying to boil her blood.
"I thought you were hungry?" Cheryl giggles and hides her face into Kimberley neck, still giggling away.
Madison's eyes bolt out; getting a hint there was more to those words.
"You know I'm always hungry-"
"Are you two serious right now?" The teen stands up with a huff and sits on the seats across from the horny couple.
"What?" Cheryl plays dumb.
"You know what. At least wait until a fifteen year old is out of ear shot for fcuk sake."
"You don't act like a fifteen year old to be honest." Cheryl challenges the aggravated teen.
"And you don't act like a forty year old-"
"Forty year old?! I'll have you know I'm th-"
"Baby," Kimberley giggles, getting Cheryl to smile. "She's just winding you up. Relax. You and me both know you're not a forty year old.. More like a thirty nine year old-" Cheryl's smile turns into a scowl.
"Kimberley Jane! Keep up with that and you'll be in the dog house for the rest of the week!"
"Look what you've got me into now." Kimberley playfully winks at Madison, who was biting her lower lip in hopes not to reveal her smile. She couldn't help but enjoy the married couples constant bickering.
"I'm sorry, give me a kiss." Madison looks away from the affection, she's unable to take in such attention the couple projected to each other. Cheryl and Kimberley share a long, and passionate kiss. Both women wanting to get home and rip each other's clothes off. They'd have to wait, but that didn't seem to stop them from going down each other's throats.
Madison keeps her eyes fixated on the windows, watching as families picked up their loved ones. Car after car came, and car after car left. But, none came for Madison.
Time ticks and no cars come for the teen.
"You said they were on their way?" The teens green eyes tear away from her intense staring to the outside world.
"Mhm" She hums, her emotions slowly working deep inside. She didn't want to show her fragility in front of two strong and confident women, or so she thought they were.
"It's been an hour-"
"They said they'd come." And just as those words left her mouth, the luxury SUV that Madison knew all too well came pulling up, and out came Jeffry. Her frown grows as she watches him enter the Airport, looking eagerly for her.
"There you are," He breathes with a smile "Oh hello there." Cheryl and Kimberley stand to their feet, greeting the man with a smile.
"You must be Madison's father-"
"Oh no," He chuckles "I'm Jeffry her-"
"What are you doing here?" Madison cuts him off with a bite in her tone.
"Mum and Dad said they were coming, I thought they were coming-" It was Jeffry's turn to cut her off.
"Come on kid. We'll talk about this privately." Kimberley frowns at his tone, although Jeffry loved the teen, he sure as hell didn't like her bad attitude.
"But-"
"I said come on." He takes her case, and grasps her hand. Dragging her out of the airport, leaving both Cheryl confused and Kimberley furious.
