Chapter 19

The talk Harry had with Andromeda was replaying in his mind, and he didn't know what to do with himself. He had so much energy that he decided to bake, with Draco on his mind. His answer to Draco was in the dessert, and Harry couldn't wait any longer. Draco had allowed him access to apparate into his room, and Harry was going to try it out. Tray in hand, he closed his eyes, and was pleased to find himself looking at Draco.

"Harry?," he asked, closing his book and sitting up. "What are you doing here?"

"I had to see you. These are for you," Harry said bashfully, holding out the tray.

"They're roses," Draco said quietly, rubbing his finger over the top of a pastry.

"They're your answer."

"My answer?," Draco asked for clarification, putting the tray down on his nightstand.

"To your courting flowers," Harry replied, a soft smile on his face.

Draco laughed, grabbed Harry's hands, and pulled him into his bed, wrapping himself around Harry.

"I'm so happy you said yes."

"Draco being with you is like breathing. It wasn't a question of if, just when."

"For clarification, I can eat those right?"

"Yes you can. I wanted a more creative way of saying yes than just sending you a flower. It's an apple filled pastry, and the apple slices are rolled to look like rose petals."

"My Harry is so thoughtful."

Harry got goosebumps at the possessive term, and Draco buried his face in Harry's neck, pressing a kiss there.

"My Draco is worth the effort," Harry replied, giggling as Draco pressed kisses all over his face.

Almost all over his face anyway. Harry knew now it was a pureblood custom to wait at least until the first date. In Harry's mind they had essentially been dating for months anyway, but he didn't want to overstep with Draco. While he knew Draco didn't hold the pureblood ideologies anymore, he knew that certain customs still meant a lot to him.

"Stay the night?"

"You couldn't make me leave if you tried."

"Have you tried these pastries yet?"

"No, I haven't."

"Cheers to us then," Draco said with a smile, grabbing two of the pastries and giving one to Harry.

Harry took his and fed it to Draco, who didn't think he could become even more infatuated with the other man. He was giddy and felt like giggling constantly. This was a side of Draco Harry felt privileged to see, and he was happy to be the cause of Draco's smile.

"You fit so perfectly in my arms."

"I don't think I've ever been this happy," Draco admitted.

"I know I've never been this happy."

"Salazar I can't stop smiling, my face hurts. I never thought that I could have you, that I could have this. I was so scared at first that you would reject me again. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized even if you didn't share my feelings, you wouldn't discard me."

"I don't think it won't work out for even a second my love, but if something happens, I won't let you leave my life. You're my home Draco."

"And you're mine," Draco replied quietly, overcome with emotions.

"My beautiful Draco," Harry whispered, voice akin to disbelief.

"Enough, this is far too sappy for me."

"I thought you enjoyed hearing about all of the things that I love about you?"

"It's a very short list, the answer is simply everything."

"Yeah, it is," Harry replied with a happy sigh, kissing Draco's cheek.

"Go to sleep if you're not going to argue with me," Draco huffed, willing the color of his face to return to normal.

"Maybe I just want to keep cuddling you hmm? Or kissing all over this pretty face of yours now that I can."

"Why not do both? Sing me a song while you're at it, I'm tired."

"Any requests?"

"What are you feeling now?," Draco asked, caressing Harry's face lovingly.

Harry was feeling everything right now.

"I need a guitar."

"There's one in the closet."

"I didn't know you played?," Harry asked in confusion, summoning the guitar instead of getting up.

"Show off," Draco muttered. "I don't, but its mere presence annoyed my father and that was enough for me."

Harry tuned the guitar, giving it a few strums here and there, and Draco looked up at him lovingly. This is all Harry ever wanted, for someone to look at him like this and mean it.

"Like the rain on a sunny day
There's a shadow behind your face
Tell me what you're running from
I don't know what made you so afraid
Don't you know you got the best of me?
Yeah, you're everything I want

Anyone can see
Anyone can see
Your heartache, heartache (heartache, heartache)
You can talk to me
It's more than skin deep
But I'm trying, yeah (trying)

Since we're alone
Yeah, you can show me your heart
If you put it all in my hand
No, I swear
No, I won't break it apart
Yeah, since we're alone
Show me all that you are
And if you get lost in the light
It's okay, I can see in the dark

All your thoughts running through your head
The things you think better left unsaid
Just wanna know where you came from
Why would you wanna play someone else?
I love you best when you're just yourself
Yeah, you're everything I want

Anyone can see
Anyone can see
Your heartache, heartache (heartache, heartache)
You can talk to me
It's more than skin deep
But I'm trying, yeah (trying)

Since we're alone
Yeah, you can show me your heart
If you put it all in my hand
No, I swear
No, I won't break it apart
Yeah, since we're alone
Show me all that you are
And if you get lost in the light
It's okay, I can see in the dark

Since we're alone, lone, lone
Alone, lone, lone
Yeah, you can show me your heart
Since we're alone, lone, lone
Alone

Since we're alone
Yeah, you can show me your heart
(Show me your heart)
If you put it all in my hand
No, I swear
No, I won't break it apart
(Break it apart, yeah)

Yeah, since we're alone
Show me all that you are
(Show me all that you are)
And if you get lost in the light
It's okay, I can see in the dark
(I can see in the dark)

Since we're alone, lone, lone
Alone
Show me your heart
Since we're alone, lone, lone
Yeah, we're alone now
Show me your heart"

Draco was hoping for a sweet song to put him to sleep, not a song that filled his eyes with tears and made him want to snog Harry until he was absolutely breathless. He had to hold out for his plan, it had to be perfect. Harry was looking at him expectantly, and Draco closed his eyes.

"You don't know how much of my willpower it's taking not to kiss you right now."

"I respect that you have a plan and customs to follow. I think it's very sweet that you want to go through all of this effort. You're worth waiting for. I'll take a kiss on the cheek though, if you're offering," Harry teased.

Draco did just that, telling Harry to put the guitar away so they could cuddle.

"I liked that song. I've never heard it before," he said quietly, his head resting on Harry's chest.

"Since We're Alone by Niall Horan. Beautiful song for my beautiful Draco. I love that you can be yourself around me, and that you trust me to be here for you. It means everything to me."

"You mean everything to me Scarhead. You save me when I get lost in the light."

"I always will. Goodnight my love, I'll see you in the morning."

Waking up in Harry's arms would never get old. His heartbeat was quickly becoming one of Draco's favorite sounds.

"My Harry," Draco said quietly aloud, replaying last night's events in his head.

"I'm all yours," Harry rasped, tightening his arms around Draco.

"Good morning."

"What time is it? I need to shower and get ready."

"You could just stay, you know."

"Not when your gifts are at Grimmauld, Pumpkin."

"You could just stick a ribbon on yourself. I'd love to unwrap you," Draco teased, his hands running along Harry's sides.

"We'll have time for that," Harry promised, pressing a kiss to Draco's forehead. "I'll see you in an hour?"

"Okay Scarhead."

The hour went by quickly. Draco showered, chose an appropriate outfit, and made sure that all of Harry's gifts were wrapped perfectly. He hoped this was all enough to show Harry how much he really meant to Draco.

Sometimes, Draco still had to separate his Harry from Harry Potter in his head. He didn't think those who perceived Harry Potter could ever imagine him showing up to a pureblood household in a reindeer onesie. Or even worse, bringing three matching onesies for the whole family.

The last thing Draco had ever expected was seeing his father swallow his pride and put on the reindeer onesie, after curtly thanking Harry. Draco didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"Did you eat, Harry?," Narcissa asked. "We were just getting ready to sit down for breakfast."

"No, I didn't."

"Please join us."

"Thank you."

"Is this some kind of muggle fashion?," Lucius inquired, holding up the offensive looking onesie.

"Not particularly. Some muggle families wear them together around the holidays and take family photos."

Lucius perked up at the term "family" and Draco could see exactly where this was going.

"Very interesting."

"Draco, did you know it's supposed to snow today?," Narcissa asked.

"Is it?," Draco asked in excitement. "We have to pull the curtains open in the front room while we decorate the tree then."

"You're so cute," Harry teased, hooking his foot around Draco's under the table.

"Harry," Draco hissed, smacking Harry's hand.

Harry caught Draco's hand and pressed a kiss to it.

"Yes my love?"

"I- you- eat your breakfast Potter," Draco huffed while Harry laughed at Draco's inability to form words.

Narcissa was hiding a laugh behind a cup of tea, and Lucius had a slightly worrisome glint in his eyes. Harry ignored it as he served himself some fruit. Thankfully, there wasn't much more discussion over breakfast.

Once the table was cleared, Draco had Harry help him get all of the decorations out. The living room was teeming with boxes, and Harry didn't think all of his belongings could even take up half as much space as their decorations.

"These decorations date back centuries," Draco explained, sorting the boxes with a wave of his wand. "New decorations are added each year to signify the growth and longevity of the family."

"Oh."

Harry wished he had things like that from his own family, and he was struck yet again with how much he had lost, without knowing what there actually was to lose.

"Come on Harry, we always start off by making ornaments each year. Everything is already set up in the other room."

Draco took Harry's hand, pressing a comforting kiss to the back of it.

"This is going to be the best Christmas ever my darling, even if we're not together for all of it."

"We'll find time to see each other on Christmas Day. Maybe we can spend the later half of the evening together?"

"Now that I do love the sound of."

Harry had never been so happy to be covered in glitter than he was right now. Draco was so kind and considerate, and never made Harry feel stupid when he didn't know a tradition. They spent hours singing off-key to Christmas songs and messing about with glitter, glue, and paint.

Out of all of their ornaments made, Harry's favorite was when Draco had painted his thumb green, and Harry had painted his own thumb silver. Their fingerprints formed a heart, and Harry was so full of love he just hugged Draco tightly.

"It's you and me Harry," Draco had whispered.

After they got cleaned up, it had begun to snow, and Draco was practically begging to go outside.

"Come on Pumpkin."

"I told you we'd decorate the tree Scarhead."

"The tree will still be here, come on."

Draco dutifully wrapped his own scarf around Harry, having kept Harry's scarf from their outing in Hogsmeade for himself. Dressing Harry up was something that Draco absolutely loved to do. It showed that Harry trusted him, and made his heart skip a beat. Harry on the other hand, didn't mind being doted over if it was Draco doing so.

"You in Slytherin green does things to me Potter."

"I should wear it more often," Harry teased, lips ghosting over the shell of Draco's ear.

"Wear it more often, wear less more often. Both good choices," Draco praised, looking Harry up and down before his gaze was averted to the window. "Look at the snow! Come on, we have to go!"

Harry allowed himself to be pulled outside, falling more in love by the minute. Draco laughed, head tilted up into the falling snow. Gently waving his hand, Harry caused soft music to begin to play.

"Do you have time for that dancing lesson now?"

"You're such a show off," Draco teased, grabbing Harry's hand in his own.

"Only when I have you to impress."

"You don't have to impress me my darling, you already have me. Your dancing however, is abysmal. Don't look at your feet, look at me," Draco chided.

"What if I step on you?"

"I won't let you step on me obviously. Actually, put the tips of your toes on my feet. Let me lead."

"If you say so."

In this manner, Draco was able to get Harry to finally move to the beat. Harry laughed as Draco spun him around listlessly.

"See? Everything is okay when you focus on me, Harry."

"Don't I know it, Draco."

"Are you busy tonight?," Draco asked suddenly.

"No, I'm not. Why?"

"If the weather clears up, there's supposed to be a meteor shower. Watch it with me?"

"I would love to," Harry confirmed, grinning as he pressed a kiss to Draco's cold red nose. "Come on Rudolph, let's get you back inside."

After some well placed heating and drying charms, it was time to have a quick lunch and then decorate the tree. Harry looked at all of the boxes in amazement as the long process began of stringing up the lights, and then the garland. He loved listening to Draco passionately explain the history behind each decoration, and hoped he would be able to have stories to share about them one day.

"Harry, put the first ornament on the tree!"

"Which one?"

"Something that's meaningful to you. It's tradition, I should have realized...," Draco trailed off with a frown.

"Mr. Potter, this is for you."

Lucius presented Harry with a golden snitch ornament, and to say Harry was taken aback would be an understatement. Upon the press of a button, the wings took off, and the ornament levitated in place.

"It's beautiful. Thank you."

"New family members always place the first ornament on the tree," Draco explained, wrapping his arms around Harry. "You'll start building your own collection of ornaments now. I should have gotten you one myself, I'm sorry Harry. I wasn't even sure you were going to come."

"Are you kidding me? I'm honored just to be included in your traditions. You should know now, whenever you call I'll be there."

"Wait, hold on. I have something you can use."

"Thank you," Narcissa said simply, watching Draco's retreating form.

He didn't need to ask what he was being thanked for. Somehow, he already knew.

"When did you start... getting close?," Lucius inquired, fixing his hair under the hood of the onesie.

"The beginning of October I would say is when we became friends. We fought a lot before that, but that's nothing new. Draco and I understand each other at such an innate level that it's infuriating sometimes, and we didn't know how to deal with it at first. But we're doing very well. It's a nice thing, to be understood."

Whatever Lucius was going to reply with was cut off by Draco's triumphant shout of "aha!"

"I have an ornament for you as well Harry."

Three choices were presented to him to be the first ornament on the tree. The golden snitch from Lucius, a small knitted Gryffindor scarf from Narcissa, and a hanging frame with a photo of him and Draco in it. Immediately Harry placed the other two ornaments down and took the one with the photo of them in it. Grinning, that was the ornament he chose, and the first one placed on the tree.

Draco exhaled shakily, and Harry turned around to see Narcissa and Lucius sharing a look.

"Was this some kind of test?," Harry asked with a raised eyebrow, eyes flitting between the family.

"You could say that. A test of what matters to you most. Your passion, your loyalties, and your priorities. You chose Draco over anything else."

"Because I value him the most," Harry replied, staring directly into Draco's eyes.

"Shut up and hang up the rest of the ornaments," Draco muttered, turning a beautiful shade of red.

"You love me, truly," Harry teased.

Draco flipped him off, and Harry laughed, wrapping his arms around Draco.

"Stop it in front of my parents," Draco hissed.

Harry let off, not wanting to actually upset Draco.

"As you wish Draco. Tell me more about this box or ornaments."

That was safe conversation and Draco talked with ease. He was almost sad when they had finished the decorating.

"Do you have a tree at Grimmauld?," Draco asked.

"Oh, no. I'm not really going to be home for the holidays, I didn't want to bother. This is more than enough for me," Harry admitted, smiling at Draco.

"Careful darling, I may just break in while you're out and redecorate the place."

"You should break in while I'm there," Harry whispered in Draco's ear.

"Why would I do that? I like my peace and quiet."

"You're such a prat."

"Hmm, I don't think you can be mad when I'm dressed like this."

Harry's joking frown changed into a grin.

"I still prefer my Pumpkin."

"Do I want to know why you keep calling my son a round, orange fruit?," Lucius drawled.

"Aren't pumpkins a vegetable?," Draco asked, wrinkling his nose in confusion.

"No, they're a fruit. They have edible flesh and seeds, therefore they're a fruit," Harry explained.

"Huh. Anyway, it's because of an unfortunate bright orange Halloween outfit such as this one. He wouldn't stop calling me that, I've accepted my fate."

"You both make quite the pair," Lucius mused.

"Don't we?," Harry asked with a grin.

"Boys, it's time for dinner," Narcissa called.

"After dinner, I'm changing out of this outfit."

"Draco, we need a photo. Please?," Harry begged, batting his eyelashes.

"You're insufferable, did you know that?"

"I have you to remind me," Harry replied solemnly. "I'll never get an ego with you around."

"Fine."

Draco's eyes almost fell out of his head when his father joined a photo, pulling his mother along. Harry caught the murmur of a "family photo", and he was once again wondering what angle Lucius was getting at.

After dinner, Draco and Harry went right back into party planning mode. Harry was telling Draco what he wanted the invitations to say, and watching Draco write them out with a loving gaze on his face.

"Your handwriting is beautiful."

"It's calligraphy. This is the finalized guest list then?"

"Should we invite your parents?," Harry asked lowly, eyes darting around the library.

"That's up to you darling. Your family will be there, and I don't quite think mine fits in with them."

"They'll have to get along eventually. Or at least pretend to, because I'll be by your side forever in whatever capacity you'll have me."

"I don't understand how you can casually say things like that."

"Because you've made me realize that it's nice to feel something other than grief and regret. That I'm allowed to have good feelings and chase them instead of pushing them away. We'll invite them. The ball is in their court."

"Huh?"

"The quaffle is in their pitch."

"It's a good thing you're pretty despite all of the rubbish you spew," Draco responded automatically, continuing the invitations. "I should play some music, it'll be awhile until I'm done."

"Funny you should say that. I'll be right back."

"What are you- and he's gone," Draco said to himself, shaking his head.

Harry came back with a stack of gifts and a sheepish smile.

"You didn't have to."

"It's easy when I find you in so many aspects of my daily life."

"Merlin Harry, you're so good to me."

"You haven't even opened them yet," Harry teased shyly. "This is the one I want you to open first. Sorry about the wrapping, I'm still practicing."

Harry's eyes kept flitting between Draco's hands and his face.

"Oh, you got me a vinyl! You know I've been wanting to grow my collection," Draco said happily, flipping it over to see who the artist was. "Oh Harry," he gasped.

"I made you a vinyl," he said shyly. "It's filled with Taylor Swift songs that remind me of you, remind me of us."

The track list that Harry had created was perfect. Draco was touched that someone thought he was worth this much effort.

Side A:
Enchanted
Long Live
Red
Paper Rings
Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince

Side B:
Lover
New Romantics
Fearless
You Belong With Me
I Think He Knows

Side C:
Love Story
Don't Blame Me
False God
Delicate
Midnight Rain

Side D:
Two is Better Than One
The Way I Loved You
Getaway Car
I'm Only Me When I'm With You
Today Was A Fairytale

"Harry, that must have taken you forever to make. There's so many songs."

"You were worth the effort. I just hope you like them."

"Can I play this now?"

"Of course you can, my love."

After getting the vinyl spinning, Draco held out a hand for Harry.

"Let's see if you remember your dancing lesson from earlier."

It was easier, looking at Draco and not his own feet. They spun and laughed, and oh how smitten Harry actually was.

"It's incredibly cheesy, but I also wrote you why each song reminds me of you, of us. Enchanted is an easy one, but gods Draco you have me absolutely taken with you. I'm so glad we're on the same page now, because the thought of you being with someone else makes me sick."

"You have nothing to worry about Harry. I'm yours, however long you'll have me. I'll let you in on a secret."

"Hmm?"

"Our first date is actually tonight."

"Oh, is it now?," Harry asked with a teasing smile. "I think I'm a tad underdressed."

"You'll have to make a better second impression," Draco replied with a click of his tongue.

Harry spun Draco around and dipped him low to the ground.

"How's that?"

"Better," Draco exhaled.

"Let's finish our lists so we can get to this date, yeah?"

"That's the smartest thing you've said all night."

"Prat."

"Git."

Draco couldn't get rid of the besotted look on his face if he tried. Harry's gift was so thoughtful and meaningful. He could still find a way to be with Draco, even if he wasn't. All of these songs meant something to him, to them. That's why he decided to make tonight an official date because Draco's resolve was very quickly crumbling. He needed Harry, and he needed him tonight.

After the menu was planned, Harry then began making his shopping lists. Lip in between his teeth in concentration, Draco was resisting the urge to remove it with his own teeth. He needed to get a grip.

"The invitations are ready to send out in the morning. I'm going to go get ready for our date now. You are wearing clothes under that, yes?"

"Yes Draco I'm wearing clothes under this."

"Good. Borrow what you need, I'll come and get you in a few minutes."

Draco made sure there was a nice clear patch where he could place a blanket down onto the grass. He brought out an old duvet so that they could snuggle up together under the stars. Hot chocolate was poured into a thermos, snacks were gathered, and he was so excited he could hardly contain himself.

He entered his room to see Harry wearing one of his sweaters. In particular, a green sweater that greatly complimented him.

"I don't know whether to appreciate the view or be mad that my sweater looks better on you."

"I do like to feel appreciated," Harry teased with a smile.

"Are you ready for our date then Scarhead?"

"Lead the way Pumpkin."

Linking his arm through Harry's, Draco led them outside. Harry cast a warming charm, but Draco snuggled up close to him anyway. Laying under the stars, with Harry's head on his shoulder, the duvet around them, Draco taught Harry all he knew about the stars.

"And the Draco constellation is-"

"Right there," Harry replied, pointing upwards with a grin.

"You know where my constellation is?," Draco asked, eyes wide as he looked at Harry.

"I wanted to impress you," Harry admitted, biting on his lip.

"I'm very impressed."

Draco moved even closer to Harry, and Harry didn't think that was even possible. He welcomed the extra weight, his eyes catching movement in the sky and he gasped.

"Draco look, make a wish!"

Hands intertwined and eyes closed, both men wished for similar things. Harry wished that their relationship would last and only get stronger, while Draco wished that their relationship would continue to grow and prosper. A faint shining light emitting from their hands had both men opening their eyes, gazes flickering between their hands and each other's faces.

"You thought of me," Draco whispered, turning onto his side to find Harry's gaze already burning onto him.

"Draco Malfoy, you haven't left my mind in years," Harry admitted, brushing fallen hair out of Draco's eyes.

"What do you know about the magic of wishing stars?"

"It's a muggle belief that whenever you see a shooting star, you make a wish on it, and if your intentions are pure enough, it will come true."

"Wizarding magic is stronger when it's wielded together. We held hands and wished for the same, if not similar things. That light means that our wishes were granted," Draco finished with a laugh, looking at Harry lovingly.

"Permission to grant a second wish?," Harry asked, rolling himself over so that he hovered above Draco.

"Permission granted," Draco replied, leaning forward to meet Harry's lips.

The kiss was perfect. Draco felt safe, loved, and protected. One hand slid into Harry's hair, while the other hand rested on the back of his neck, pulling him closer.

Harry equated his feelings to the sensation of flying. He felt free, and he couldn't get enough of Draco pressed against him.

"You need to add Sparks Fly to my vinyl, because that is your song," Draco replied breathlessly when they had parted for air, staring into Harry's vibrant green eyes.

Harry laughed, capturing Draco's lips with his again.

"I'll sing you whatever you want. I see sparks fly whenever you smile."

Draco pulled Harry down so he was flush against him, and pulled the duvet tighter around them.

"Are you cold my love?," Harry asked, caressing Draco's cheek .

"I'm perfect."

"I'll say," Harry replied, kissing Draco one last time before moving next to him.

Draco shifted so that his head was resting on Harry's chest, and he couldn't stop smiling.

"My star," Harry said softly, caressing Draco's face.

"That's the second best nickname you've given me."

"What's first, Pumpkin?"

"I like when you call me your love," Draco admitted, pressing his face into Harry's chest.

"You are my love. Emphasis on mine," Harry declared, capturing Draco's lips with his. "I never had many things that were just my own, I don't like to share."

"If you think I'll let anybody even come remotely close to you you're- mmph."

Harry was so warm, Draco couldn't help but melt against him.

"That's a nice way to tell me to shut up."

"Do you want to go inside now?"

"Please. We're out of hot chocolate anyway."

"I think I could find a new way to warm you up," Harry flirted, pulling Draco close and apparating them into Draco's bedroom.

"Harry!," Draco squealed as they fell into Draco's bed.

"Yes my love? My world? My everything?" My-"

"Enough," Draco whispered after he pulled away. "I still have to give you your gifts."

"You could just kiss me again as a gift. I'd like that very much."

"I hope you still feel that way after your gift. I just hope you like it."

Walking into his closet, Draco pulled out his gift to Harry. It was expertly wrapped. Removing the bow, Harry placed it on Draco's head.

"I'm coming back for my second gift later," he teased with a wink.

Harry's joking demeanor immediately dropped once he unwrapped his gift.

"Draco... I..."

Tears immediately sprung into his eyes, and Harry gently traced the line work of his gift. Draco had painted a portrait of Harry with his parents, and it was the most touching thing that Harry had ever received.

"Do you like it?," Draco asked nervously, fiddling with his sleeves.

He looked up at Harry, frowning at the tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, I did my best. Don't cry, I have a backup gift we can just- oof."

The wind had been knocked out of Draco when Harry tackled him onto the bed in a tight hug.

"I love you Draco. I love you so much. This is... I don't even have the words to tell you how much this means to me. How much you mean to me," Harry sniffled, wiping his eyes. "Let me show you."

Draco couldn't even process that Harry loved him before his lips were hesitantly moving against Draco's. Hands were softly caressing Draco, and he whimpered when Harry latched onto his neck.

"Okay my love?," Harry asked, fingertips making their way under Draco's sweater.

"Yes."

"Can I touch you?," Draco asked.

"Please."

The noises Harry elicited from Draco were perfect. Harry loved how vocal he was, and he told him so.

"You're so good for me Draco. What do you want? Use your words."

Draco wrapped his legs around Harry, tugging him closer.

"Too many clothes."

Leaning back, Harry carefully removed the sweater he borrowed from Draco, remaining in his t-shirt. Draco's hands slid up the front of Harry's t-shirt, fingertips gently scraping his chest on the way down. Biting his lip, Draco played with the hem of Harry's t-shirt before Harry removed that too.

"I think you're a tad overdressed Pumpkin. Can I help you?"

"Please do."

Draco's eyes rolled back at the feeling of Harry's bare chest pressed against his. He flipped them over so that he was on top of Harry. Leaning down, he pressed a kiss against Harry's pulse point before looking for the perfect spot to mark. When Harry arched up into him, he knew he had found it. He experimentally pressed his hips down into Harry's, and was rewarded with a beautiful sound.

"Do we need a silencing charm?," Draco asked, fire alight in his eyes.

"Already cast," Harry replied with a lazy grin. "Locking charm too."

"Good."

Draco emphasized his point by pressing down into Harry again, applying more pressure as Harry lifted his hips to press back into him. Their lips remained connected as they continued to press against each other. Draco bit down on Harry's neck, only releasing once he came back down, breathing heavily.

"Did we break a pureblood courting rule?," Harry asked, casting a cleaning charm before pulling Draco into him.

"Technically, the date ended once you brought me home. So I'm going to say no. And if we did? I don't care."

"That was okay? I've, erm, I've never..."

"Oh. I haven't either. It was good," Draco replied, his face burning.

"I thought so," Harry replied smugly, pulling the blankets over the both of them.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, you almost took a chunk out of my shoulder."

Draco winced, rubbing his fingers over the mark.

"Do you want me to heal that?"

"No, I like it."

"Oh."

"Can I spend the night?"

"I'd hex you if you didn't. Two notes in a row, I think I'm spoiled."

"Wait until you open the rest of your gifts."

"This was more than enough Harry. You're more than enough."

"Draco, what you did for me was the most wonderful surprise I have ever received. I've dreamed of being with my parents for years, and you've given me something that's not dangerous like the mirror of erised so I can see that come true. You just have worked so hard on that for me. I already know exactly where it's going."

"I'm so glad that you love it. I was worried it wasn't enough because it was handmade. Happy Christmas Eve Harry."

"Handmade gifts mean so much more. Happy Christmas Eve Draco."
