Alec POV

"Alexander Gideon Lightwood, will you marry me?"

I stare at Magnus with compete surprise. But he's immortal! And why me? I don't deserve him!

These are the thoughts running through my head as I stare at him.

After a few minutes, Magnus clears his throat. "So. . ." he ventures.

I look at him with even more surprise.  "Are you kidding me? Of course, yes, yes, yes!" I throw myself into his arms.

Magnus POV

For a minute there, I thought he was going to say no.

But after he embraced me, I knew the answer was a complete yes. I stand up with Alec still in my arms and kiss him.

As he kisses back, I opened my eyes quickly to look at his beautiful face.

I am so lucky to have you.

I love you.

I want to say these things but am too caught up in the kiss. I close my eyes again.

After a few seconds, I pull away from him. "Aren't you going to tell your family?" I ask happily.

Alec POV

My family.

My excitement high quickly ends as I think about what my family will say. My father will surely be against it, and I'm not sure my mother will completely support it either. However, I know Izzy and Jace will support me. In reality, I have already lost my parents, so I have nothing to lose.

"Right." I nod at Magnus. "Let's tell them."

"Us?" he asks incredulously.

"Of course. We're in this together right?" I kiss him quickly then get my jacket on. "Let's go!" and I trudge out the door.

Jace POV

My parabatai rune is at work. I can feel. . . excitement and at the same time fear oozing out of him. I can also feel him coming closer. He must be coming back to the Institute.

He must have news, I think. I wonder what it will be.

For the next chapter when Alec and Magnus tell the Lightwoods, I want to have it at either Jace's or Izzy's POV. Who should it be?
