Happy birthday to me! What did i get this year? Crippling existential dread, my favorite! Im not even an adult yet and im already having a midlife crisis oh god im scared of the world

Existential fear aside, im pretty excited for my bday this year. If all goes well (since im typing this from the past!! Aka the day before my actual bday) ill have a really awesome homemade cake (that has alcohol in it!! Its super tasty though yall) and hopefully i can convince some of my friends to kidnap me and we can all hang out at some point soon

Anyways, birthday aside, lets get into some art!

Starting off strong with a Quirrel from the game Hollow Knight, because i love him 10/10 best boy

Quirrel is my favorite character for a lot of reasons, his design is fucking adorable (if not slightly hard to draw lmao his stupid bean dad bod is SO HARD to get right) hes so chill and curious and babie, and without getting into too much lore and spoilers of the game, he really feels like one of the very first people you meet in the game thats actually your friend (and not JUST being nice to you for the sake of politeness) and its always exciting when you find him in the game around the map and listen to what he has to say. Hes just great.

Next up, a little low-effort but still cute doodle of the character Kitten Bee made by EskiWorks, and my own "kitten bee oc" based off of a Tarantula Hawk Wasp

I totally didnt make this because one of my friends wrote a sad fanfiction thing about him that i actually got legitimately sad about so then i felt compelled to draw him being cute to comfort myself ahskshjsjs shut up no im not overly attached to a fictional psychotic monster cat or anything

ANYWAYS

A random kitsune character i designed on a whim one day. The first picture was his og ref but i thought he looked too much like  cat so then i drew a slight style update to make him look more like a fox

His name is Shiryoku, hes got 4 tails which means hes 400+ years old, hes blind, and he has a third eye on his stomach. I just think hes neat. Hes also inspired by the warriors character Jayfeather if that wasnt obvious enough lmao

I dont know why but any time i draw underwater scenes (which is more frequently than i realize, looking back...) I usually have fun with it. Water is fun i guess

Next up, yet another random character i made on a whim. I have no idea who or what they are but they look cool and are fun to draw and thats good enough for me!

Im pretty sure i named them Roxxic Lucian if i remember correctly. Roxxic because someone on discord recommended the name Roxanne and i liked it but wanted something less feminine, and Lucian because someone else suggest it and i liked both so i was like fuck it, first and last name

Speaking of cats, Cats The Musical! I unashamedly really like Cats (the stage production, not necessarily the movie) so i was like. Fuck it lets draw my favorite character Mistoffelees.

Honestly the stage designs are slightly confusing in my art style because its like. Half furry, half people dressed as cats? Who the fuck knows whats going on here but its fun to draw. Misto is a bean and i love him more than is probably healthy

I have lots of opinions about Cats (both the musical and the movie) but im gonna refrain from rambling all about that here because 99% of you guys probably dont care-

And to end off this chapter, how about some SCP? Specifically, scp 173! Our favorite neck snapping peanut! Except i redesigned him-

So the scp fandom in general has had quite a few redesigns of 173 because the original artist asked that the picture of their sculpture not be used in any profit works, aka meaning peanut 173 can be used on the wiki, in free games like the og containment breach and secret laboratory, but has to be redesigned for profit games like Unity containment breach.

Mostly just for fun, i decided to make my own 173 design that i kinda wanted to be the best of both worlds between the peanut and the unity design. I liked the unity's general shape and 4 legs, but i tried to make the paint pattern similar to og 173.
As for my own design elements, i added some paint to the chest to be more consistent with the face, i added some more rebar, and a whole ass extra arm, all the better to snap necks with!

Welp. I have one year left until im OFFICIALLY an aduly so uh. Thats mildly terrifying. I dont have much else to really talk about so ill see you guys next update!
